UPPERROOM
The first of a two part word given by Peter Louis on the Lord’s table. Why is there deliverance in the cup of remembrance? This is the joy of salvation - the Father invites us to enjoy His bread, wine, and oil in the presence of our enemies.
As we look at Jesus through the lens of covenant, we see clearly that the Father is drawing the Bride to the Bridegroom. Our friend Joshua David, Pastor of UPPERROOM India, takes us through key verses in Ezekiel that clearly outline the heart of God - He stops to cover and restore the broken.
“The process of repentance starts with God - not with our sin.” Kevin clears up misconceptions about repentance that are often deeply rooted in shame and guilt. The Lord Himself is the treasure uncovered in turning our faces to Him.
The indwelling Spirit of God and a choice to surrender to His leadership will truly transform a heart. Lorisa continues with the importance of a relationship with the Person of the Holy Spirit. It is our desire to grow in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

What does it mean for the people of God to display honor in a world where it seems to be in extreme lack? Kevin Tipps presents an opportunity for us to grow up into the honor we see displayed in the God-Head with application that will bring the Kingdom of God to the earth as we pursue it.
In continuation of knowing the Person of the Holy Spirit, we open 1 Corinthians 14 to hear from Paul the different ways the gift of tongues can be expressed. As you listen, may the questions around this gift be answered in the reality of the Holy Spirit praying the perfect will of God through you.
We heard from our close friend Michael Koulianos tonight on what makes our King great. We look at Hebrews 1 to find the message coming from the heart of the Father to be “Son”, and the answer to greatness found in His marvelous death and resurrection.
Miller continues with ways that we can lay a pathway in our time personally & cooperatively to encounter the Person of Holy Spirit. A heart postured in gratitude is a heart open to encounter the Spirit of wisdom & revelation in the knowledge of Jesus.
We have an Advocate, a Helper in the Holy Spirit. Miller teaches from John 14 on the Son asking the Father to send the Spirit and the reality we now live in through our relationship with the Person of Holy Spirit. Where the Lordship of the Spirit is, there is freedom. As this truth hits your heart, we pray you are liberated from the sorrow of the past and compelled to ask Holy Spirit to reveal Himself.
There is fresh bread for every child of God in the secret place, and the Father wants to feed you the bread of His Son. Lorisa provokes us to retreat to the secret just as Jesus displayed in the Gospels to meet with the Father who enjoys ministering His love to our hearts.
More than simply believing the Gospel, Peter Louis provokes us to actually touch it. When this revelation of Jesus becomes a genuine confession, the way in which we walk is transformed by the power of God to save.
The way that we as a Church will experience a greater glory of the Lord is through the fear of the Lord. As we revere Him, honor Him, prefer Him, we will see the fullness of who He is. Miller shows us that through divine order, God crowned man with His glory in Genesis. This is the heartbeat of what we’re after - that the glory of the Lord would rest on the divine order of His house.
It is good to remember why it’s important to get in the presence of God and let Him transform us on the inside. Lorisa walks us through worship from the very beginning of the Word and the beauty of ministering to the Lord now as new covenant believers.
Beginning in Genesis, man was delegated authority to cultivate the ground and unlock earths potential. Now, in the same way that rain comes to water the earth that man cultivates, we have become seeds planted in the soil of the presence of Jesus that will be transformed as His worth grows forth in us.
We see in the garden of Eden that God’s design reveals God’s desire - to have a place to rest with His creation. Miller reminds us of the very foundation of the UPPERRROOM found in Genesis all the way to Revelation and the reason we will prioritize the Presence of Jesus. The desire in the heart of God we see threaded throughout scripture is that He would dwell in & with His people.
There is a spiritual mystery that happens when we gather as the body, a reality beyond what we can physically perceive; there is a glory that knits our hearts together as we look upon Him. We remember the one thing we have in common is the table of Christ and we gather knowing that it is the desire of Jesus that we would be made one just as He and the Father are one.
God is looking for a generation whose hearts are turned back to Him. Lou Engle visits us this week burning for the coming generation, blessing our house to lead the way in living lives set apart for the Lord.
In the book of Hebrews, we see Jesus as our Great High Priest. Peter Louis unfolds how this confession empowers us to be the house of God sustained by His covenant of rest. At the heart of revival, He will find sons and daughters who are at rest and confident in who He is.

“In the same way you received Jesus our Lord and Messiah by faith, continue your journey of faith, progressing further into your union with him!” Joshua David continues this Sunday in Colossians, bringing us out of the shadow of our own thoughts and feelings and into His marvelous light. By faith we become one with Jesus, transforming the condition of our hearts as the first fruit of union with Him.
We see in the book of Colossians the foundation of Jesus Christ being enough. Joshua David from UPPERROOM India speaks from multiple places in scripture that reveal the true delight the Father has in us through His Son in the new covenant.
Our very own Aaron Smith is breaking down the parable from Luke 10:30 answering these questions practically: who is my neighbor and how do I love them?
There are several “giants” in our day that culture is subject to. Jaco Booyens, a member of UPPERROOM & abolitionist fighting human trafficking, gives us tangible ways through the Word to stand up to fear and become a resting place for the plans and purposes of God.
Corey Russell brings us into one of the deepest revelations of his heart - that there is no pleasure or pain that compares to God revealing who He is to the human spirit. In Ephesians 1:18, we see the hope of His calling given to us through the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God.
This Pentecost Sunday, Peter Louis leads us to bring our hearts before the Lord as a prerequisite to taking communion and worshipping. We look in Hebrews at the Mediator of the new covenant and how truly beautiful it is that Jesus ensures our access to the Father on our behalf. The law speaks and many die, but when grace speaks many live. Grace only flows through faith, and this magnificent truth authors faith in us to receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness He has for His born again believers. The blood is speaking, crying out “you are forgiven.”

Hospitality: to love a stranger, the different one; the other one.
If there is one principle that is at the core of who we are as a house of prayer, it would ultimately be hospitality. Kevin Tipps helps bring our body into this revelation through 1 Peter 4:8, in that the Christian life is meant to be lived out together. As we host the presence of Jesus in the prayer room, we’re asking that He would teach us and provoke us to create the same holy place around our dinner tables. Maranatha, come Lord Jesus in our homes.
There is one cure for the church in this hour - receiving, discerning, and honoring the blood and body of Jesus. The giving of God to Man is the sufficient ministry to save, deliver, and heal His children. As we return to the table of the Lord, we believe that there will be a great repentance that not only impacts the global church, but will transform the family unit around our own dinner tables.

Jesus is calling His Bride to go and do what they’ve been called to do; make disciples of all nations. Aaron Smith gives us three things from Matthew 28 that will empower our body and set us up to have fear broken off of ours lives - recognizing the power of His voice, the passion of His desire, and the promise of the end. We pressed play on our very own Michael Mauldin, who truly carries the Lord’s heart for seeing His people actively involved in bringing the Kingdom to earth. He shows us two ways that we can see leadership manifested in 1 Samuel through the lives of Saul and David - hiding behind baggage, or leaving it with the baggage keeper. This challenges us with the call to leave what we’re carrying with the keeper of the baggage to take up the mantle we’re given by God to bring His Kingdom to the earth.
In John 1:9 we see divine permission to receive the Father’s delight. As we exalt the person of Jesus this week, Kevin Tipps leads us to see and know the Father through His Son. When you partner with this spirit of adoption, we pray you find dignity and value as you approach the promises you’ve been given as Sons.
This generation doesn’t need another sermon - we need mothers and fathers to tell us who we are. God is speaking another narrative over Generation Z, and we’re provoked by our friends at One Voice student missions to hear what is on His heart. Let this word move you to actively participate in what He longs to do in our day. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their Fathers.

Our King is no longer in the grave, but has risen to life again. We have a window into our own salvation stories in the witness of Mary at the garden tomb in Matthew 28. This Resurrection Sunday, we remember what it was like to meet the Risen Jesus and hear Him call our names.
We were designed to live free from sin until the Lord returns - this is the glorious reality of the new covenant. We have been resurrected with Christ to newness of life and have been born again by His spirit. Today we are as close as we will ever be to God as His very own Sons & daughters.
As we “dive into the deep end” of the biblical narrative of our time, Miller speaks into the covenant God has made with Israel. May your heart be awakened to the Lord’s redemption plan for His own nation, and how we as the church can actively participate.

As an extension of the message of King David, we see the prophesy of the Branch of the Lord Jesus threaded throughout the Old Testament. Prepare to receive an even greater revelation that our Bridegroom King will establish His rule and reign on the earth, provoking our body to cry marantha.
In the book of Psalms, there is evidence of the second coming of Jesus through the prayers and songs of King David. Join as us Kyle Martin from Time to Revive walks us through some of these prophesies and the fulfillments we can already see, along with the ones yet to come.
This week we dive into part two of the Davidic Covenant. We see Gods response to David specifically His desire to establish His throne through David where Jesus will reign forever and reestablish David’s Tabernacle.
The Davidic Covenant represents how God’s mercy triumphs over judgement. We look at the vow King David made to the Lord in Psalm 132 and His response to David, promising a house, a Kingdom, and a throne.
In this episode, we walk through the Mosaic Covenant in Exodus and God’s intention to marry Israel. As we continue in this series, we pray it provokes two questions in the heart of this community: what does this mean for the Jewish people, and how can we partner with the Lord in preparation for His return?
This week we begin to see how the Seed of Redemption is hidden in the promise God made with His people through the Abrahamic covenant. There is a cry in the heart of the Father for Israel, and we’re partnering with Him to provoke His people to jealousy for the return of the Jesus. Maranatha!

There is a Maranatha cry for the Redeemer in the seed promise found in Genesis 3 that is completed in Revelation 20:2. Now we get to partner with this plan still playing out in the Holy huddle; God’s covenant of redemption.

04.14.19: Lorisa Miller speaks on processing with the Lord. Lorisa explores how we can open our hearts to God, seeking intimacy with Him, refuge, sustenance, and strength. Lorisa contrasts “groaning” with “complaining“: when we disclose ourselves to one another apart from the Lord, without seeking His voice and His provision.
In the end, Lorisa closes with an invitation to disclose ourselves to the Lord, being honest and open before Him with faith that He will answer; and that as we cry out to Him, we will grow in intimacy with Him, our hearts will be strengthened, and we will step into our promised lands.

In this week’s sermon on Communion, Michael Mauldin continues in 1 Cor 11:23-30 focusing on seasons where we are standing between what Jesus has accomplished and His manifestation of the promise in our lives. Those gap seasons are often filled with suffering and weakness. Some tendencies in these seasons are to feed our flesh with sinful things to mask the pain. In his address, Paul has some strong words for those partaking in the meal like; eating the body & drinking the blood in a worthy manner; examining yourself rightly before taking the meal; and not being found guilty of the blood and the body. These words have put fear and insecurity in many people. Many will miss the power of what has been provided at the table because of Paul’s strong correction to the church at Corinth. Michael Miller in this teaching thoroughly explains what Paul meant by these terms and how to appropriately eat and drink of the Lord. He shows us how to come to the table and receive ALL that has been provided by Jesus. It’s different than we think. It’s better than we think.
