In the fourth episode of the DIE in the Dungeon sidequest series I dive into some of the things I am doing to keep the campaign alive during the "trough". As of day 6 the game is well over its funding goal, with almost 600 backers and a few SGs unlocked... so how do I keep it going?
1 - Staggered content of videos/reviews (Rolling Solo, OneStop CoOp Shop, Logan Chops)
2 - Backer engagement, encouraging sharing through fun challenges directly related to the game and the final production.
3 - Advertising, paid and unpaid, using different strategies at different points in the campaign
More sidequest info to come! This Journey is still in full swing with 14 days to go as of the launch of this podcast episode!
This episode is a bit different than most, featuring a game designer who also supports Kickstarter campaigns through pre-marketing, consultation, landing page creations, and more! Andrew Lowen, with his company Next Level Web, has helped several games develop strong marketing strategies to get their games in front of people who would really like them (and in turn, back them).
Games include The Isofarian Gaurd, Mint Control, Open Ocean, and DIE in the Dungeon! (yes, thats my game there).
Learn some of his thoughts on how to market early on (and how EVERY post you make is actually a form of marketing), how to advertise, and thoughts on other aspects of game sharing.

This episode features another first for the podcast, a creator that is selling a digital only product! How do you get people to want to pay for something they can't smell, hear, or feel? Well, you give them a beautiful, digital rendition of a magazine! This bi-monthly magazine is all about what I regularly interview guests about... board games! We talk about paid ads, and about influencers in different aspects.
