Framed against the Allied occupation of postwar Germany, the emerging Cold War and a classic English poem, The Wind From New Jersey is a story set in an era when mental illness was considered a sign of weakness. It traces the lives of two young Englishmen, the emotionally disturbed spy Daniel Lincoln and the narcissistic criminal Ronald Hunt.
The Berlin Wall of 1961 has curtailed Western espionage in East Germany. In 1964 Britain’s MI6 and the American CIA plot to rectify this. But MI6 has a secret agenda.

Renown actor Colin McFarlane talks to me about the Justice4Windrush Campaign.
He tells me how he got involved and about his personal reasons why, and about his friendship with fellow campaigner Annie Lennox.
Colin explains to me how the sad situation came about and affected so many people, and how they were treated, first being invited to the UK after the war, and then fighting deportation after many years.
He describes to me how The British Home Office and wider government have failed to act to compensate most of the victims, as at January 2024 only 13.8% of eligible victims have been compensated.

Bill is a Canadian TV Personality and Author with many stories to tell about his career in Canadian broadcast media and it's all in his book 'A Happy Has Been - Exciting Times and Lessons Learned'.
Having spent 35 years in the business he has interviewed so many international stars for TV, (over 5000) - including Ozzy Osbourne and Bill tells me an 'Ozzy Story' in this fascinating interview. He is very well known for presenting the music channel Much Music and Much More Music ( a Canadian MTV type channel) .

Dean's amazing story is a must listen!
He was an active sportsman when his life was turned upside down when his wife died from a brain tumour, then a year later he was diagnosed with Leukemia.

I met Roy through a mutual friend who was a top chef from Iceland. Roy has an amazing story about discovering he had a half brother and sister, but then 30 years later quite by chance he met them again.

Catherine fought breast cancer 6 years ago, was treated. All was good.
Then it came back.
I find out about Catherine's life, what happened, how it affected her job as a Police Officer and her personal life, the treatment and it's effects on her and her family.
Catherine is about to embark on more chemo therapy and treatment, and is very keen to share her journey with other women so it may help others. She has valuable advice.

Steph is the wife of the legendary footballer / goal keeper Peter Shilton OBE, MBE (don't mention Maradona!) who literally saved Peter from his 45 year gambling addiction.
Steph and Peter are now helping others who find themselves in the same situation, not only that but she is part of 'The Six To Ten' organisation that concentrates on giving support to 'affected others' or loved ones of gambling addicts who also need special support.
I find out why Peter started to gamble, that suicide is a real issue with gambling addiction, and that gambling can increase crime too.
Steph who is qualified in the subject tells me what it was like living with Peter and his problem, how they both coped, and what they are now doing to help others.
It's a fascinating interview.

Now I've done thousands of interviews and this one with Rita was one of the hardest to do, and probably one of the most moving stories you will ever hear.
Rita's daughter Anna took her own life aged 37.
You can't imagine what this is like unless it's happened to you, and Rita bravely tells me what happened and how she coped and is coping now.
Rita has set up a charity called 'The Anna M Wright Foundation' in her daughter's name which is having a brilliant positive effect helping others who are contemplating suicide, and she tells me how this works with Art in schools especially to identify possible similar problems.

I talk to the inspirational Amanda Alexander who is trying with others to save the famous London Community Gospel Choir. Amanda also runs 'The Grounded Mummas', an on line group giving support to mothers stuck with the pandemic restrictions and problems.
The choir have suffered terribly financially due to the pandemic as concerts and performances where cancelled, but now Amanda has organised an on line concert on the 22nd May 2021.

Sam has lived in a few counties since leaving the UK 15 years ago, and now lives in beautiful Costa Rica with her husband and 2 children.
I ask her what it's like living there (obviously!) but also what has motivated her to do it.
Sam is totally inspirational and we would all be a little envious of what she has done, but she explains that anyone can do it!
