Tristan Gutner is a Clarity Catalyst and Success Coach, and supports leading-edge visionaries and entrepreneurs to unleash their Genius and claim the life they truly desire. Tristan’s motivation is housed in his burning desire to help people live the life they truly want to live. Once he learned how to start showing up for himself, he found joy and fulfillment in life and now works to help others to stop the self-limiting self-talk and live fully.

His advice is that “whatever it is that you have a deep desire to do, it’s part of your purpose and you just have to take the first step to make it happen.” He then challenges listeners to visualize doing that one thing that you know you want to do that you’ve been scared to do and feel what it feels like to do that successfully. Have that feeling of success then make a decision and go take that first step.

Sandra Bravo is passionate about helping women discover their voice to share their message with the world. Sandra is a single mother and owner of three businesses. Sandra is also the founder of amasssing.com, and is a professional speaker.

Sandra’s motivation to work in this field began when she became a mother. She wanted to feel fulfilled both in her career and in her family life and felt there was more to life than just barely getting by. She had the belief that there had to be something else out there, which led her towards her journey of personal development. She realized, after encountering so many talented women, that all was lacking in order for them to be successful was confidence in themselves! This lack of confidence was getting in the way of their life purpose, so she began working towards empowering women to share their purpose and passion with others.

Sandra discusses how she helps women build their self-confidence and self-esteem to then go after their goals. She believes strongly that behind every successful woman is a group of women standing behind her, holding her accountable, and supporting one another.

She encourages all women to have consistent, daily, “me” time in order to refill and refuel yourself to then be able to help others. By taking time for yourself each and every day you feel that you have more purpose in your life and you can then pour into the lives of others. Sandra also recognizes the pattern of setting up unrealistic expectations which leads to us feeling like a failure. If we wake up and focus on 3 goals for the day, then we can feel empowered and are able to integrate all parts of our life to create harmony.

Sandra’s final piece of advice is to put yourself first! This allows you to give and serve more.

Jarrod Warren is the host of the Success 101 Podcast. The goal of his podcast is to help others learn to live optimal lives. He is also a financial planner and author of “From Success to Significance”.

Jarrod’s motivation is found in the impact he has on others. He discusses how the impact you have on others has to be of more importance than the income you make and that you figure out how you want to impact others by slowing down and asking yourself why you are working towards the goals you are working towards.

Abundance vs scarcity is a mindset that Jarrod discusses in great detail. Understanding this mindset starts by asking yourself “what can I create” instead of “what can I get”. By working smart instead of hard and by seeing what is already there inside of each and every one of us, that is where you will find success, fulfillment, and see true impact.

Jarrod’s final point is that the things that change your life are small. They do not always come in big packages and are often times right in front of you. By taking the time for personal development, you are able to see those small things and to truly change your life from there.

Today’s guest is Judson Brewer. Judson Brewer, MD, PhD, is a thought leader in the field of habit change and the “science of self-mastery”. Judson is the Director of Research at the Center for Mindfulness, is an adjunct professor at Yale, and is an addiction psychologist.

Judson credits his motivation to continue his work in the field to the endless fascination of the human mind. He firmly believes that mindfulness is directly linked to high performance and that mindfulness begins by simply paying attention to your actions. He encourages us to look at the moments when we are being pushed and pulled by our desires and instead of reacting, to simply be and wrestle with those feelings instead of being sucked in to acting on them. This simple idea is what helps us to not only understand where our habits initiate but how to break them.

This idea of awareness and mindfulness is rooted in curiosity. By stepping back and asking yourself “what is happening in my body and brain right now” you develop curiosity which, according to Judson, “curiosity will conquer fear even more than bravery will”. By developing a sense of curiosity and settling into the conditions that support your goals, you truly can break any habit and conquer any fear.

Judson’s equation for mindfulness is awareness+curiosity=concentration/mindfulness This equation has allowed his clients to quit smoking, lose weight, and break the chains of addiction. Through his programs clients found 40% reduction in craving related eating over a three month period of time and were 5 times more likely to quit smoking than the typical programs offered.

To conclude, Judson challenges us to not only pay attention and be curious but to see how much you can pay attention. By engaging in this challenge you will be able to uncover your natural capacity to be curious and to change your habits.

Today’s guest is Dr. Glenn Livingston. Glenn Livingston, Ph.D. is a veteran psychologist and was the longtime CEO of a multi-million dollar consulting firm which has serviced several Fortune 500 clients in the food industry. Dr. Livingston is discussing his struggle with exercise bulimia, overeating, and binge eating as well as the tools he has used to develop a healthy mindset and relationship with food.

His motivation to be involved in this line of work stems from searching for a solution to his overeating habits and not being able to find anything concrete. After years of research, he found the solution in this idea of the “lizard brain”. This primal mindset allowed him to take control over his brain and to move forward with healthier behaviors. He proposes the idea of making concrete rules such as “I am never eating chocolate again”, or “I will never eat standing up” to force yourself to eliminate any ambiguity, eliminating any wiggle room to allow the lizard brain to rear its head.

Dr. Livingston’s idea that freedom comes from discipline and that you can maximize your freedom while still protecting your goals as long as you are disciplined with your actions. “A life of discipline is better than a life of regret”, and the way to start is to simply start! His challenge to everyone is to ask yourself “what if it is true that in order to quit doing xyz you simply just have to quit.” You truly can change your life today, you just have to start!

Tommy Newberry is a New York Times best seller, host of the “Achieving Optimal” podcast, CEO of “Tommy Newberry Coaching”, and author of the “4:8 Principal” and “Success is Not an Accident”. Tommy’s vantage point of success in life as a planned outcome and continual improving of ourselves is a wonderful way to approach our daily lives. Tommy is motivated by seeing others out perform their previous best selves and truly unlocking their potential.

Tommy discusses some of the ideals found in his book the 4:8 Principal, one of which is that we need to train our minds to find the positive instead of the negative. His advice to find positivity is to practice, plan, and prepare. One actionable tool is to ask yourselves questions that will promote a productive/positive way of thinking, instead of dwelling on the negative.

From there he discusses how to achieve success in all areas of our lives. The idea that it’s not about finding balance in your life but about setting goals and recognizing that there is a season in our life to achieve those goals. He encourages us to look for the windows of opportunity to pursue our various goals instead of attempting to achieve them all at one time. He challenges us to set 5 goals/priorities and to really focus on them by asking yourself “what is the wisest thing to invest my time in right now”.

Ultimately, Tommy challenges us to set huge, completely unrealistic goals that are meaningful to us and to then set a plan in place to accomplish them. He leaves us with the popular quote “We overestimate what we can do in a day and underestimate what we can do in a lifetime.”

Today on the Mobius Podcast is Dr. Kathy Gruver. Kathy is a PHD, health practitioner, motivational speaker, trapeze artist, author, and hip hop dancer. Dr. Gruver’s motivation stems from letting people know they have options in how they live and wants to empower them to be able to change their mind, body, and ultimately their life.

Dr. Gruver begins by explaining what the mind-body phenomenon is and states that 60-90% of doctor visits today are actually due to stress related illness! Things such as headaches, fertility issues, IBS, and even some cancers are all linked to stress. This very reason is why Dr. Gruver has made it her mission to help others learn and develop tools to manage stress. Dr. Gruver really encourages everyone to find what works for them to manage their stress. This could be meditation, yoga, running, weight lifting, acupuncture, gardening, or in her case, flying trapeze classes!

The final piece of advice Dr. Gruver leaves us with is to remove the things that aren’t serving us and to do something different each day that pushes you out of your comfort zone. By simply going for it you are more likely to experience life in a way that reduces your stress and helps push you closer to being the person you’ve always wanted to become.

It was lovely talking with Lisa Cherry Beaumont today. Lisa is a life purpose coach and is the author of “Life Purpose Alchemy” (on Amazon). She is motivated by helping others find what makes them happy and feeling positive about what they do in their daily lives. We began the conversation by discussing how emotions are spread from one person to another. Whether positive or negative, emotions impact our daily lives so by becoming aware of our emotions and the emotions of those around us, we can choose how we want to live.

Lisa responds to the question of “how do you find your life purpose” by encouraging us to look at our life now and ask the following questions:

  1. What do you waste your time doing?
  2. What did you used to do that you no longer do?

She suggests that by taking small, daily steps, the scary emotions associated with change will not appear quite as monstrous and overwhelming.

Lisa’s final piece of advice is to gain perspective in your life and daily situations by occasionally taking a step back and then entering back into the situation with a new and refreshed mindset.

I am so excited to have John Vespasian on the Mobius Podcast today! John is discussing the idea of rational living. The idea behind rational living is that one can come to a place where they are able to look at situations in their life through the lens of logic and reason instead of responding with panic and inefficiency. He encourages us that by applying rational thought to situations of crisis we will be able to be happier and more successful.

John proposes that our lives are based either on reality or on fiction. Many of our behaviors are based on media and fictional sources that appeal strongly to our emotions but are not actually true. He encourages us to look at the past and to history to see how successful people developed their talents. He suggests that we can work through our lives by trial and error, but by taking lessons from the past and applying them to our present and future, we will be able to skip out on many of life's unhappy moments as most quick fix solutions are simply illusions.

John leaves us with the idea that even if you are convinced of the truth, you are going to have to face people who don’t listen or understand. By respecting their ability to hold their own opinion you will find freedom. He challenges us to avoid conflict, violence, aggression and try to develop yourself instead of fighting with others.

John Vespasian is the author of eight books about rational living, including "When Everything Fails, Try This" (2009), "Rationality Is the Way to Happiness" (2009), "The Philosophy of Builders: How to Build a Great Future with the Pieces from Your Past" (2010), "The 10 Principles of Rational Living" (2012), "Rational Living, Rational Working: How to Make Winning Moves When Things Are Falling Apart" (2013), "Consistency: The Key to Permanent Stress Relief" (2014), "On Becoming Unbreakable: How Normal People Become Extraordinarily Self-Confident" (2015), and "Thriving in difficult times: Twelve lessons from Ancient Greece to improve your life today" (2016).

In this episode, I am talking with Matt Powell, guru of both human motion and human motivation. Matt begins today’s episode by talking about how showing someone their “lightbulb moment” is what motivates him to continue to work in his field.

Matt discusses, in depth, this idea of “pastless” and how by selectively accessing our past experiences we are able to create the present and future that we want. This idea of living in the present with a purpose is what he seeks to achieve in his life and in the lives of those around him.

The question of “how do we live in the present” is posed. Matt suggests that by looking back into our past experiences we are able to view our successes and failures in an objective way where we can then choose what we want to carry forward with us into the present, which then affects our future selves. By recognizing that we have to start living a different way instead of just thinking about being different and making change is how we will actually facilitate real transformation in our lives.

The idea of living intentionally is discussed as Matt brings his experiences with Martial Arts into the discussion as an example. He suggests that by making small, consistent changes and making short terms goals, these ideals will create long term lasting results; however, it all begins with making a commitment to change. Without this commitment, change will not happen.

Matt concludes the conversation by discussing how transformation is a long-term process, not a short-term fix. By having the right goals you can achieve anything you want in life.

In this episode of the Mobius Podcast Trish Blackwell, fitness professional, confidence coach, entrepreneur, and more, starts by talking about the importance of living life at full capacity. Are you surviving or are you thriving and fully engaged in your daily life?

She then takes us through her personal journey of coming from a place of not being confident to truly coming into her own as a person and learning to be confident in herself. The secret, she says, is to always ask yourself “what brings me fulfillment”.

From there, she discusses the importance of the 80/20 rule and how she applies that as a way to bring in a little grey area to situations that are very much black or white. With this rule comes the discussion of how to develop self love? Trish provides some amazing tools to improve self confidence, learn how to love yourself, and to help you prioritize your day to really fulfill all of your goals.

She leaves us with a fantastic quote “the body is capable of so much if you just allow yourself to thrive”.
