The Cross of Christ DOES divide--1 Corinthians 1:18 makes that quite clear. The unsaved see the Cross as foolishness, while the saved see it as, and KNOW it to be the power of God--THAT is a divide; the saved and the unsaved are 'at odds' when it comes to the Cross. However, the Cross of Christ should NOT divide the saved from the saved! The Cross is a monument to the love, mercy, grace, power, and wisdom of God (I could go on). Because I am saved by grace through faith in what Christ did on the Cross, I should, logically then, LIVE by continuing to keep my faith in that which saved me.
