DearFood.net

Welcome to the Dear Foodcast, a podcast for food lovers of all kinds, from eaters to drinkers, from bakers to makers! This is the audio component to the Dear Food blog at dearfood.net, where everyday gourmands Alma and Natalie talk about eating food and the role it plays in our every day lives. Sit back, grab a snack, and have a listen!

We go deep (dish) in this episode. In the past few weeks and months, Natalie and I have been paying closer attention to the food we eat. Until someone figures out how humans can maintain health while still eating like we everyday gourmands want to, we'll have to settle for working toward a balanced diet (e.g. no ice cream straight from the carton).

This also means looking at what food means to us: Is it therapy? Is it an activity out of boredom? Why are our favorite foods our favorite? We also want to hear from you! Send us your food memories at dearfood@dearfood.net.

PS: We're not doctors or food experts of any kind. Just human beings waxing poetic. But if you are a doctor, still email us. We need to know!

It's Valentine's Day! Natalie and Alma discuss a little bit of history, what women REALLY want for this mother of all fake holidays, and of course, the candy taste test!

We thought, 'Hey, we have a blog where we talk about how much we love food, why don't we make a podcast too?' Here's the audio component to the imperfect blog for everyday gourmands, straight to your ears.

In our very first podcast, we baby step our way through our first rant. It's January. It's 2015. Every one is on that healthy grind and frankly, we don't like it. Hey, we're just saying what everyone is thinking. Join us, won't you?

Our theme music is "3 Strings and 82 Keys" by Steve Combs available for use under Creative Commons. Thanks!
