This sermon is on the temptation of Jesus and what we can learn from it for our own Christian lives today. It was given in November 2018 after Pastor Wavey attended a wedding in Sydney Australia, so excuse any sounds of jetlag.
This sermon takes us through the second half of the third chapter of Matthew and sees Jesus being baptized by John the Baptist, and presented to the world as the Messiah.
In this podcast, Pastor Wavey uses a story from Resurrection Sunday to affirm the Calvary Limerick Cores first laid out a year ago in the Glimpsing Our Core Easter message. At a time when Calvary Limerick is in a state of transition to build for the future, it’s good to look at our centre, our cores as a church body, the things we don’t want to lose sight of, and affirm them once more.
