For Worship Sunday, we rearranged the service to include extended times of worship. The time that would ordinarily be designated for teaching, we divided into a couple of shorter 'sermonettes'.
If you were to dig through the writings of the early church, particularly those of the first three centuries after Jesus, you would find that people like Justin of Rome, Clement of Alexandria, Origin of Caesarea, Tertullian & Cyprian of Carthage, were all talking about a common theme: "Hupomone". This morning, Associate Pastor Kent Byer leads us on a word study for "Hupomone" and explains how it worked in the life of the Christian community.
Saul Mateyu is the Assistant National Director for the Passion Center for Children as well as an associate pastor at Mulunguzi Community Church in Zomba, Malawi.
