Many of our current customers made large investments in FC, and are comfortable using it with Tier 0 and Tier 1 workloads. Still, many of the Global 1000 are looking to deploy more flexible and composable Ethernet, and are hoping to understand the pros and cons as they begin to weave Ethernet (both L2 and L3), iSCSI, RDMA 1/2, and RoCE in to their data centers.
iSCSI has improved dramatically over the past 15 years, with the iSCSI stack becoming much more efficient and reliable.
NVMe-o-FC/TCP is also on the near term implementation horizon, and we explore where we feel this technology has advantages, and why the shift from iSCSI to NVMe-o-TCP, is a natural extension.
