1976 was the most controversial season in F1 history which included the Surtees deal with Durex condoms which led to a F1 blackout on TV and a title battle between McLaren's James Hunt and Ferrari's Niki Lauda which includes the Lauda accident and the fightback Hunt did from seventeen points behind to win the title by one point.

Ronnie Peterson lost his life at the 1978 Italian Grand Prix at Monza, his death was caused by a Fat Embolism after a hasty late night operation following a start line crash which is in lengthy detail and led to teammate Mario Andretti clinching the title in a tragic way.
