Purdue's College of Engineering is among the largest in the United States and includes 13 academic programs, all with high rankings. U.S. News and World Report ranks Purdue's College of Engineering in the Top 10 nationwide. Known as the “Cradle of Astronauts,” Purdue Engineering’s long list of pioneers includes Neil Armstrong and Amelia Earhart. Havingthree National Medal of Technology and Innovation recipients and 25 past and present NAE members, we are one of four 2017 NSF Engineering Research Centers and an SRC-DARPA center, as well as the home of nanoHUB and the largest academic propulsion lab in the world.
