Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. A court of appeals has already essentially declared ObamaCare unconstitutional, and it’s likely the Supreme Court will agree. Now the conversation is over what should replace it. The answer is nothing. Or better, what should replace it is the free market. Let’s get government out of the way and turn insurance companies loose to offer any kind of policies they want to consumers. That makes consumers the ultimate decision-makers, exactly how it ought to be in a free society. The only role for government in health care should be to enforce contracts. If you pay for health coverage you don’t get, government’s job is to make the insurance company keep its end of the deal. Government should not be telling insurance companies what kind of things they have to offer or can’t offer. That’s none of government’s business. Let’s put ordinary Americans in charge of America’s health care.
