This release refers retrospectively to the "Wanderings" album from 2015, which was also very much sought after because of its limited collector's box. More precisely, this album is again about two tracks that left a lasting impression in our hearts.
It all started when Nemo had already edited and changed his track "Abenddämmerung" ('Dusk') several times for live sets. Already during the production for the "Wanderings" album he noticed that this piece exudes a kind of melancholy, solace and wellbeing that can only be explained by the elements used, the warmth of the sound structure and the childhood memories that this piece connects with those places that he had in mind, so that this song has become one of his most important so far, which he is still so fascinated by and which holds him in its grip him until today. This resulted in the desire to re-release this piece in multiple variants in a separate release on tape.
Since Jaymon had also published his track "Morgengrauen" ('Dawn') as a counterpart on the same album, the idea of producing both pieces on a new cassette quickly developed and he immediately started working on it as well to work up in different versions. Also for him his own piece was very important because it best reflects the mood of our early morning hikes when the sound of birdsongs came up and nature awakens, accompanied by the murmuring brooks, the smell of air and the wonderful fun and memories that come with it.
But that's not all: to give the whole thing a little more diversity, various remixers were brought on board again, namely John Ov3rblast, who is known for his stellar ambient sound design, but also Michael Fiedler, the co-operator of the German electro / synth-pop band 'Annagemina', as well as the well-known Russian dubtechno artist Martin Schulte, and last but not least Spigl. We also didn’t miss the opportunity to swap the sound material of our pieces, so that we both remixed the other’s counterpart. The focus of the external remixes this time is more on the "Morgengrauen" song by Jaymon, as Nemo used his various other pseudonyms for his "Abenddämmerung" piece in order to create corresponding variants based on these different identities.
It is the first time in the history of our label that a release has been split into two different physical formats with different content, but which both belong together, namely Cassette and MiniDisc! This means that all tracks of this release are split up differently between these two items: songs 01 - 12 are on the cassette, while songs 13 & 14 are on the MiniDisc. So in order to have all tracks in physical format, you might want to order both items. But regardless of which of the two albums you buy, you still get the complete digital download with all 14 songs.
Another important aspect is that this album is also a special edition, and therefore for the first time in color and not, as usual, in black and white. The Twin Peaks-like coloring underpins the overall mood of the thematic journey.
"Morgengrauen" (Dawn) & "Abenddämmerung" (Dusk) are two terms with which very own images and emotions are connected. The early morning, which dissolves the darkness with the first rays of sunshine and brings with it the gradual sound of nature, the change of nocturnal voices to the noises of the day, the enthusiasm, the new energy, the light. And the melancholic evening, how after many tired summer afternoons it casts ever longer shadows on overgrown gardens and small streams in nearby forests with the sounds of the day that pass over to the mysterious noises of the approaching darkness, with the late chirping of the crickets, the sad song of the blackbird and the crackling of campfire into the silence of the night.
One last time we return with you to the heart of our trilogy "Seasons / Wanderings / Landscapes" and thus also to these very conscious moments before we will travel on and follow the music to where it will send us in the future.

It's hard to grasp the actual amount of music that the Greece-born, England-based Spaceal Orbeats founder who goes by the name John Ov3rblast has produced since his first release saw the light of day in 2010. Scattered over a myriad of sites on the web as well as physical formats, his tracks come close to a thousand in total—and even they don't add up to his entire body of work, as his podcast appearances often consist of completely fresh material, improvised on-fly and provided for free download. Naturally, his sound direction has changed dramatically over the years, but even his first EP bears similarities to his most recent works which effectively proves that he remains true to his roots as a producer.
And as if frequent output of EPs wasn't enough to enrich his discography, he went ahead and presented the world with his biggest release up to date—a magnum opus that carries over the number of his LPs to double digits. Few minutes shy of three hours, Lost Heavens is presented as a double LP counting 21 tracks that encompass an extensive range of styles, tempos and applications, lovingly united in one place with purpose of creating a lucid, lasting narrative.
