Today is National Doughnut Day. You can get a free doughnut with a coffee or a drink at many places. I got my chocolate frosted doughnut at Dunkin, with a hot latte with cream. What is your favorite doughnut shop? This day was started in 1938 by the Salvation Army in Chicago to honor those of their members who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I. From Wikipedia: Soon after the entrance of the United States into WWI in 1917, the Salvation Army sent a fact-finding mission to France. The mission concluded that the needs of American enlisted men could be met by canteens/social centers termed “huts” that could serve baked goods, provide writing supplies and stamps, and provide a clothes-mending service. Typically, there were 6 staff members which included 4 female volunteers. About 250 Salvation Army volunteers went to France. Because of the difficulties of providing freshly baked goods from huts in abandoned buildings near the front lines, the two Salvation Army volunteers Ensign Margaret Sheldon and Adjutant Helen Purviance came up with the idea of providing doughnuts. They were a hit and many soldiers visited the huts. Margaret Sheldon wrote of one busy day: “Today I made […]
I'm so excited to be a returning guest on Ann Harrison's Inspirational Journeys: Stories That Matter Podcast and YouTube Channel. Ann and I will be discussing my newest book, Walking With God: In the Prophetic Lifestyle. Ann said when she read it, she found some "profound gems." This really blessed me! Stay tuned!
Hi there! I’ve got several exciting things to share with you today! First, here’s my last Vlogmas 2022 (vlogs that are about Christmas – a vlog is a video + a blog). I share about creating a miniature Christmas tree for our daughters Eden and Leah from Ray’s mom’s (their “Mimi”) Christmas crafts. She made me one with bears when Ray and I first married, and made another with snowmen that I gave our daughter Heather when mom passed away, as Heather (and I) loves snowmen. You can see the finished adorable trees, as well as me wrapping and mailing gifts, and our daughter Leah’s, Ray’s, and my Christmas gifts we got, set to Christmas music, on the vlog. I’m still learning HOW to vlog, but it sure is FUN! I’ve been watching other vloggers on YouTube about Vlogmas & travel vlogs. Below is the link to my last Vlogmas of 2022: My last Vlogmas of 2022 Speaking I’m so excited and honored to be one of the speakers for Teresa, Jen, Chrischa, and Ken at their Cultivate: Christian Creative Symposium, an online conference for Christian creatives–designed for the way God wired you. It starts tomorrow until January 7, 2023. […]
I haven’t been blogging lately. Just doing life stuff. So…I thought I’d give you an update of what’s been going on this year. First, about writing. Part of my story is in a chapter of my writing coaches CJ Hitz and Shelley Hitz’s book, Kingdom Writers. I helped to promote it. You can find the book here, available on Amazon. It is a great book! I’m one of the featured alumni panelist speakers for Shelley’s upcoming Kingdom Writers conference on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 11 a.m. eastern time, so stay tuned for more news about that! Each alumni speaker will only speak for a few minutes, but this is such an honor that Shelley asked me to do this! This edition of the conference is dedicated to helping authors build their platform and sell more books through collaborations If you need a speaker for your women’s conference, retreat, online event, or podcast, or know an event planner who does, please contact me here. I love encouraging women and giving them the hope of Jesus Christ! I’ve also been writing a Vella fiction short story called She Won. It’s about a recent widow and mom of 4 grown children, Norah […]
I've been having guests on my podcast for my Women in Biz podcast series. Here's some of the topics they have discussed about the joys and the challenges of being a woman in business/entrepreneur. I have more interviews lined up in the coming weeks. They have been amazing with great tips for success!
This year started out slow, but the momentum is picking up now. I have a feeling that things are about to get much busier this spring and summer 2022! The year started out with sharing part of my story in my writing coach Shelley Hitz and her husband CJ Hitz’s book, Kingdom Writers. You can buy a copy by clicking here. They are now offering a writers conference called Count The Costs. Still time to get in! Just click here. Recently I joined my business coach Diane Cunningham Ellis’ Business Breakthrough Society. I’m excited about new things that I’m going to learn from her and the other ladies in this training course this year. One additional feature that has been added to Diane’s trainings is called “Progress Pods,” where the attendees will get accountability and support from each other in small groups. I think this will help us all to move to the next level of success! My podcast “techie” issue that I was struggling with for over a month is finally fixed. A big thanks to my VA Callie, and to the amazing tech support staff at Anchor, Google Podcasts, and the other podcast platforms. Yay! Thank you for […]
Whoo hoo! I’ve now officially moved my podcast (which I’ve been recording for years) to the podcast host Anchor. I should have hired my virtual assistant (VA) to do this. Despite a biz peer’s encouragement to “just do it,” it has been a royal pain to make this move due to all the tech issues. I’ve had LOTS of tech and internet issues lately. Then yesterday I found out from our CPA that my husband Ray and I owe taxes (a hefty amount!) again this year. It has all been so stressful. Please pray for me as the enemy is greatly opposing me lately. Anchor’s tech help with moving my podcast has been wonderful. I’m so glad this is done now! There is no cost to listen and subscribe to my podcast at Anchor or the sites below. You can listen to my podcast, Beth Jones International Speaker, at Anchor’s link below and subscribe: https://anchor.fm/bethmjones No charge; however, Anchor gives you as the listener the opportunity to support my podcast for 99 cents, $4.99, and $9.99 a month. You can listen and donate at the link above. Just click on the “Support” button at the top of the page on Anchor. This will help […]

I kicked off its launch with my radio interview on the Women of Grace in the Marketplace radio show on TalkErie.com yesterday. Their podcast should be up this week so you can hear the replay if you missed it. I’ll share the link here on my blog when it’s ready. The hosts and interviewers of the radio show, Lori Clapper and Janelle Keith, were awesome. I was a little nervous before the interiew, but they made me feel so welcome. It was so fun! To celebrate this Kindle book’s launch, I’m having a free Zoom meeting on Tuesday, […]
Do you struggle with consistency in your life and in your business? I do, too. It’s not easy to be consistent, whether you’re trying to work out and/or lose weight, eat healthy and not sugar or carbs, keep showing up on social media, build closer relationships, manage your finances well, have quiet devotional time daily, or whatever it is that you desire. It’s important to have consistency in our work and in our character. Consistency makes you and me more reliable and trustworthy—and to achieve what we really want and need. Aren’t you glad that God is consistent every day? Malachi 3:6, NKJV, says, “For I am the LORD: I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.” God doesn’t change! Consistency is a big key to success. “Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally. It comes from what you do consistently.” ~ Marie Forleo Below is the link to today’s Writing on Wednesdays Facebook Live video, which I uploaded to YouTube, Staying on task with consistency. Just click on the link to watch it now. https://youtu.be/1SoVH5JW-yU How do you build consistent habits in your life? Please leave your comments below. * My virtual mini-training, […]
Do you have a “one word” yet for 2021? I started doing this a few years ago, to set a “theme” and a focus for the whole year, instead of making New Year’s resolutions (which were usually broken before January was over!). It seems the “one word” comes as I’m just going about my day, doing routine things or praying. I ask God for the word that HE desires for me. I’m always tested on the word by God! At the end of December 2019, I received the word, “hope,” for 2020. At the time I didn’t understand why God gave me that specific word. Now I get it, looking back over the crazy, chaotic, fearful year of 2020. Every day, I needed to have hope in Jesus! As I’ve been praying the last few days to prepare for 2021, I’ve received an impression or what I call “a nudge from God” of the word “steward.” It is a serious word. I looked up its definition first. It means: A person who manages another’s property or financial affairs; one who administers anything as the agent of another. A person who has charge of the household of another, buying or obtaining […]
Usually about once or twice a year (or more!), I start getting restless and bored with my website and business. It often results in me changing my website theme. It helps inspire me. If you don’t like your website theme (or you’re getting bored with it), you won’t want to work there! For summer, I wanted something that feels light and pretty, like fresh flowers. This new theme has butterflies and has what is called a slider at the top of the Home page, where you can see a slide of pictures. Some of the slides have pictures of my books, and when you click on the graphic, it takes you to the book on Amazon. It took me awhile to find a theme I liked today. I’ve always loved butterflies. Have you ever seen a butterfly that is stressed out, depressed, or angry? No. Butterflies are happy and free. I would like to become more like a butterfly, because I often stress out and freak out way too much. Can anyone say meltdown, like a chocolate bar in the sun? (Chocolate sounds good right now, but I digress!) I really want to become a more peaceful woman, who worries […]
In my podcast with my writing/business coach Shelley Hitz, I share how I used Facebook to sell an Amazon Best Selling book. You can listen to the podcast and read the interview with Shelley by clicking here. It is Shelley’s Podcast Episode #026.
Did you miss my Talkshoe show this week with Andrea Sharp of Sharp Women? This was an excellent, anointed show. Andrea’s teaching is for today’s busy woman in mind: “I can only do 4 things at once!” We always need the “spiritual” in our lives (God’s presence, His word), but we also need practical help for our hectic lives. Andrea gives you real-life tools using the acronym PACE to help you juggle your to-do list and schedule. I encourage you to listen to the replay and/or download it to your computer to listen to later at your convenience. Andrea spoke straight to my heart about getting your priorities straight. She also told a funny story about a Bunco game, which had me laughing so hard. You will love it! Just click here for the replay (Episode #22, on November 10, 2012. It’s the first episode at the top of the page and in past episodes). ****** Encouraging Word: You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.-Isaiah 26:3 Inspirational Quote: Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, […]

Facebook has enabled me to make a whole new world of friends, and I am so thankful to God for that. One of the new friends I’ve made on Facebook is Sheryl Griffin, speaker and author of A Scarlett Cord of Hope…My Journey through Guilt, Shame, and Fear to Hope. I loved Sheryl’s book, and it is available at her website, at Amazon, and at Barnes and Noble. You can visit Sheryl’s blog at www.SherylGriffin.blogspot.com. Recently Sheryl shared on my Women’s Battles Talkshoe show. One of the responses in the chat room today was, “Shery, you have a great testimony!” If you missed the show today, you can listen to the replay here or on the player below. This was an anointed show with Sheryl sharing on being a child of divorce, her own abusive former marriage and divorce, abortion, anxiety attacks and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She’s leaving this Saturday morning for a trip to Israel, so please keep her, her friend who’s going with her and the church […]
WOW, I thought Tony Robinson‘s show was going to be powerful and it was! If you missed this anointed session, I strongly encourage you to listen to the replay ~ again and again! There is a lot of spiritual meat in this teaching on “Will The Real Woman of God Please Stand Up?” based on the woman with the spirit of infirmity bent over, whom Jesus healed, in Luke 13: 11-17. God wants to use us women in a powerful way for His kingdom, but our pain (infirmity, weakness, issue) can keep us from fulfilling our great purpose and destiny! I would not do it justice trying to explain everything Tony shared, so I just encourage you to go straight the source! You can listen on the Talkshoe player below or just click here. I’d love to hear what you think, so please leave your comments below. I’m so thankful to God for divine connections like Tony in my life! This session was such a blessing to me, and it will minister to your heart.
Will the real woman of God please stand up? This is the topic of our next Talkshoe show on Thursday, September 1 at 2:30 pm. Central Time (3:30 p.m. EDT). I’ll be joined by my special guest Tony Robinson of www.WellWateredWoman.com, and Tony will be sharing from Luke 13:10-16 about the woman who was bound with the spirit of infirmity for 18 years and could not stand up straight. Tony is founder of Well Watered Woman, a global ministry dedicated to encouraging, enriching and empowering women in their walks with the Lord. Being radically changed by Gods amazing grace and love, she is passionate about seeing women walk in all that God has destined for them. Tony is wife of 20 years to the love of her life, Reggie, and mom to their four beautiful and gifted children, each walking out God’s purpose for their lives. She is a minister, devotional writer and Godmom to some pretty amazing kids. Want to know what it takes for God to answer your prayers? Do you desire to live an abundant, prosperous, joyful life through Christ? If you weren’t able to join us for my Talkshoe show with Terri Porta, you missed a great show! She shared on How To Get Your Prayers Answered. Terri is an award-winning speaker, author, wife, mom of a toddler, business woman, and real estate agent. God’s anointing was on Terri and the women who attended in the chat room during the session laughed, cried, and were inspired. One of the most powerful things Terri shared was on the qualities of women leaders. Effective leaders lead their own thoughts first. How can you lead others when you’re not taking your own thoughts captive and your thoughts are all over the place? We need to have the mind of Christ by renewing our minds each day with the Word of God and to stop those distractions. Leaders also get results in their own lives first. Powerful and so true! You can still hear the replay by clicking here at Talkshoe or listen on the player below. I’d love to hear what you think of the show. Just leave […]
Today’s interview with Mystiqua Kimble of www.PursuitofTitus2.com was POWERFUL! I like to usually advertise at least 5 days to a week beforehand with telecalls, but Mystiqua and I both had a busy week and we weren’t able to connect until earlier this week. For some reason, I just felt like we were supposed to do the show today, and not wait until next week which would have allowed more time for spreading the word. God’s presence was there and His anointing was upon Mystiqua as she shared her testimony for the first time publicly about her abortion and domestic violence, and those attending the show today were so blessed. We received great feedback in the chat room, and I made some new friends! If you missed this anointed, powerful show, you can still listen to the replay. Just click on the Talkshoe player below or click on this Talkshoe link. Let me know what you think, by leaving your comments below. Enjoy!

Are you hurting emotionally, in a lot of pain? Do you feel empty and alone? Do you feel that you simply can’t get past what is hurting you? Are you beginning to doubt God’s promises? As a Christian, you’ve probably heard the story of Abraham and how he is one of the spiritual giants in the Hebrews hall of faith. But not many tell the story from the viewpoint of Sarah, his wife. Join Beth Jones as she shares how God wants to move you from your place of pain to your great purpose in Christ through the story of Sarah. Sarah had to go through a lot, but it was worth it all in the end! Have you heard the story of a man who inherited $10 million from his father’s company, put it in a briefcase, booked a cruise to Alaska, and began dumping the bills overboard into the deep, cold waters as they were traveling? I imagine right now you may be thinking, “Why on earth did he do that? Why is he wasting all that money?” Yet in our own lives, we waste so much. Jesus addressed the important issue of waste when He performed the miracle with the fish and the loaves of bread, instructing his disciples to gather what was leftover, so that nothing would be wasted. This week we’re celebrating the birth of our savior Jesus. As I was reflecting on the Christmas story this morning, the response of Mary, the mother of Jesus, amazed me. I believe when Gabriel appeared to Mary to give her the news, it was a test from God. She could have refused to accept His great assignment for her life. But Mary said yes to God, and God did the impossible in and through her life. God wants to do the same with you. Will you be like Mary, who said, “May everything you have said about me come true.” Join Beth today for this encouraging podcast. Simply click on the link below to download. Several years ago I was a flight attendant for a company that owned small jets servicing a major airline. Imagine that you are a passenger 10 gates away from your gate, when you hear over the intercom, “Your flight leaves in 5 minutes.” Would you leisurely stroll along, stopping for a Starbucks latte’ or to buy a book at the newstand – or would you run to get to your gate on time and ultimately to your place of destination? Join Beth as she shares about the brevity of life and the importance of obeying God, loving others, and fulfilling your purpose from two major events this week. The Pharisees and the scribes brought in a woman caught in adultery to Jesus in the temple, asking Him what should be done with her. The woman probably feared that Jesus would harshly judge her. But she found instead that she was forgiven, not condemned, and Jesus told the Pharisees and the scribes to let those who had no sin to be the first to throw a stone at her. Is there some sin that you’ve done or are struggling with right now that you feel condemned for? Join Beth today as she shares about God’s unconditional love and forgiveness. Jesus doesn’t want you under that weight of condemnation and shame, but to forgive you and to set you free.

It’s easy to say yes to God when you want to do what He says. But when God tells you to do something that requires more maturity and dying to self, it’s a lot harder! Jesus understood this struggle, too. Through His grace and resurrected power, we too can learn to say yes daily to God, and have peace. Surrendered is a beautiful place.

Join Beth today in her podcast, Keep Climbing, based on Habakkuk 3: 19, “The Lord God is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds’ feet and He will make me to walk upon mine high places.”
As believers in Christ, our prayers carry weight and have authority in Christ. Satan knows the power of the name of Jesus, and the power of prayer, and he will do all he can to keep you from praying. He will tell you to stop, it’s no use, your prayers are not working. Don’t stop! Realize that you are a co-heir with Christ, reigning and ruling in heavenly places, and your prayers do make a difference here on earth! Join Beth today as she shares encouragement from God’s word on the authority we have through Christ in prayer.
Do you want to be used by God? Do you desire to do great things for His kingdom, but wonder if He can use you with all your problems? Well, Isaiah the prophet realized he was a man with “unclean lips,” yet he prayed and said, “Here I am, Lord, send me.” God used him mightily. God wants to use you, too, in incredible ways for His purposes and His glory. Join Beth today as she shares encouragement from God’s word, using the acronymn SPEAK, that He desires to bless your life abundantly to glorify Christ.
Moses told God that he wanted to see His glory. God told Moses no man could see His face, and live. But He said His glory would pass by Moses in the cleft of the rock, and Moses could see His back side. I have often wondered about that verse, and reminded God that He is no respecter of persons – if Moses could see a side of God that no one before or since has seen, then I want to see Him, too. Maybe His chin, or His ear? The point is that I desire that deep intimacy with God. Each day we need that quiet time with God and His word to be filled up with Him. It’s like having coffee with God each day. Join Beth today as she shares encouragement from her book Walking With God and God’s word on intimacy with God in prayer.
