After going 0-3 to start the season, granted against three returning NCAA tournament teams and two who were ranked in the top 25, the volleyball squad awaited another huge challenge in Gainesville - and passed with flying colors. The Bulls, down 2-1 sets in 12-5 in the fourth, and having not beaten the Gators since 1990, not only came back to win but did it against the No. 10 team in the country, the highest ranked opponent USF has ever beaten! Then another 2-1 deficit and 5-set win vs. Ohio State before finishing off the perfect weekend by sweeping Southern Indiana - a match that we broadcasted live, and we have plenty of highlights for you of here.

A big challenge awaits the men's hoopsters Thursday night - and the women got a big one on Tuesday as the UTSA Roadrunners blitzed the Bulls.
The Roadrunners, who came in shooting 28.8 per cent from 3-point land and making 4.5 a game, went 11-for-22 in the victory. Bulls were outrebounded 55-33 and shot 21 per cent themselves for a 2nd straight defeat.

The team's new setter, a transfer from East Tennessee State, met with the media (including our own Darek Sharp) alongside Amanda DeWitt Monday as the Bulls are gearing up to start the season. It will be an incredible opening event for volleyball, as it plays host to Georgia Tech at Amalie Arena Friday, followed by a meeting with the Florida Gators at the Yuengling Center.
