A sports podcast 20 years in the making. Two passionate, well-informed, and intense fans with a love for all that is sports. We have a regional passion but bring a national perspective. Two native Michiganders with a heavy focus on Michigan, Michigan State, and Notre Dame football and hoops. Takes expand across the country and the hosts often call each other out.In short it's a good way to kill an hour!
There is no franchise more off the radar than the Lions. When people hear the stats on how bad we are they are always shocked...here's another round of that. The history and futility is unprecedented and therefore Lion fan loyalty is vastly underrated. How bad are the Lions historically? We tell you. How clueless is Bob Quinn? We tell you. How bad a hire is Matt Patricia? We tell you. Is there hope for the future? We pray with you.
Until tomorrow...
Today we break into our "Fansided" episodes where we talk to fans from around the country. We open this version of the show by talking about the UVA fan base. James Reilly is a DC native and a long time fan of the Hoos. He give us his take on what the upside of hoops and football. John has long believed that UVA is one of the top underachieving brands in college sports and asks James why...candid answers follow.
Enjoy and talk tomorrow!
Andy interviews John on ND football. Where it's been, where it is, and what's ahead. John explains, in his biased opinion, why ND is one of the more grounded fan bases in college football. Perhaps this wasn't always the case but 20 years of irrelevance has changed that for the better and we talk about why. Could ND be the next Clemson??? Maybe yes and maybe not...listen to find out.
Until tomorrow!
Today John and Andy try their best to wrap up an unprecedented, and truncated, college basketball season. Specifically we tackle whether or not MSU had the gas to hang another Final 4 banner. We also talk about what the future holds in East Lansing as well as Ann Arbor. Until tomorrow!
Today Andy and I are joined by a special guest in Cliff Bolhouse...a life long Michigan fan. Our trio gives an appraisal of Harbaugh's tenure and also discuses what Michigan should do from here. Is there a modern version of "Leaders and Best" that Michigan's past is preventing from being realized? What are the 3 things Michigan needs to do to get over the hump? Should UM fans just write off the OSU game?
All this and more on today's show...see you tomorrow!
Andy and John discuss everything about the football hire. Did Dantonio leave MSU in a bad place? Did he owe the fan base a better exit? Was Beekman hung out to dry? Was the board negligent? How good should fans feel about Tucker and what MSU paid him? Is MSU now finally at the big boy table as it relates to College Football's upper echelon? Is all this still masking general dysfunction at MSU?
We discuss it all! See you tomorrow!
Andy and John unite to speak with you once a day, for 30 minutes, while we are all shut down in our houses. We will pick one topic a day to review and catch up on. We are going to do our very best to focus on the positive throughout as we endure a tough time in America...specifically a tough time for sports fans.
Tonight we talk about the elephant in the middle of the room...the Coronavirus and its impact on the sports culture of America. Going forward we want to hear from all of you on what topics you want covered and what guests we can bring on. Let us know how we can make this month better!
Andy and John talk about the state of MSU football and how fans feel about the state of the program. What should happen with MD? How does that impact this weekend? What is the new expectation now that MD has raised the bar?
Let us know your thoughts!
We have Coop drop in for a visit with John. It's a short one but we go deep into the mindset of the Michigan fan. How do we feel about the program in general? How should we feel about the OSU rivalry? Does MSU now have UM's full attention, respect and hatred? Should "Little Brother" still be a thing? Which side is keeping it alive?
All this and a bit more on tonight's quick hitter. Enjoy!
Andy is back! He gives his opinion on the state of MSU hoops and football. What should MSU fans hope for? What is likely? What's the problem with MSU fandom's current lens?
Andy also hits on the hoops season kicking off and the likelihood of Hauser being eligible. We also discuss whether or not MSU can be the "bully" in these early season battles with blue bloods.
Finally, we get to the meat of the order which is this topic of misery in sports. Why do we want everyone fired? Why are we more happy about avoiding a loss versus celebrating a win? We have answers and solutions... Listen up!
We put the shrink on the couch this week and ask the following:
1. The state of MSU/UM/ND...what should happen at all three places going forward?

3. Has the CFP removed all the joy from fans?
4. Should players get paid? If so how?
Bonus: Should Tiger name himself a Captain's choice for the President's Cup?
Enjoy!
Andy and John check in on Sunday night to discuss the latest from the weekend. Should Michigan feel better after pounding Rutgers (Hint: No)? Has Andy adjusted his outlook on MSU? John says ND has taken another step forward as a program...is he right? They then run around the country and give their thoughts on the national landscape and discuss the hard truth that the Pac12, ACC, and Big 12 are 1-1.5 team leagues.
