The vegan vs meat diet debate remains a contentious issue, with strong opinions from both sides. On the one hand, a vegan diet forgoes the use of any animal products or byproducts, which some people believe to be an ethical decision that could lessen the environmental effects of intensive animal agriculture.
On the other hand, proponents of meat diets point out that, when eaten in moderation, meat can improve health and supply necessary nutrients.
But, like many other debates, the truth of the matter isn't so black and white, and the studies aren't as cut and dried as you might think.

Listen in as I explain, as I walk my dog, just how this sleep hack works and how to implement it right away!

I don't know about you, but if I walk into the kitchen without a plan, I often prepare what's most convenient, not necessarily the most nutritious!
So I created 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 3 dinners that I love, and that I eat as the core of my diet, and always have the ingredients for. I've been doing this for years and still love these meals.
I highly recommend you follow a similar strategy, and in this episode with Lisa Goldenthal we talk about the how and why of it, plus provide several great recipe ideas!

I finally got my first comprehensive gut health panel, and review the results of the test with Cheri Stoka, RDN, CD, CLT
Gut health is more than a buzz word in health anymore. And gut health is more than just simple digestive issues. We are learning that the gut truly is the second brain of the body, and that autoimmune conditions can trace their source there, and even depression and anxiety have been correlated to it.
The gut is this mysterious, confusing, and in some ways scary place with bacteria, viruses, pathogens, and even worms.
So I was really excited to get the results back of my own first ever GI map, that showed me just what was going on. And I'm happy to report that of the thousands of tests Cheri has done, mine was one of the best, if not the best. I hope you find similar things. And its worth checking into!
Towards the end of the episode I share Cheri the 4 things I thought lead to my mostly favorable results (you will hear about what areas I have work to do) but as I reviewed my simple plan for gut health, I think she agreed with each of my four points, all of which are contained in our free PDF, The Dirobi UnDiet. So make sure and download that at Dirobi.com
Meantime, listen in as Cheri goes point by point through this amazing and fascinating test, and consider whether you might not benefit from something similar.

Cheri Stoka is a leader in the weight loss space. She approaches the subject from a scientific point of view, and starts all her clients off with testing. After running thousands of these tests, she has found many common challenges and lessons learned that she will be sharing with us.
She will be pointing out some of the misinformation in the space, conventional activities that are keeping people sick, how the "reduce calories, workout" approach can often fail, and how to implement a strategic weight loss plan into our lives.
If part of your health journey is fighting the "battle of the bulge," you're not alone! Listen in to pick up some great ideas and actionable insights that could help you reach your health goals!
Dr. Susan Peirce Thompson, founder of Bright Line Eating, is helping thousands of people successfully lose weight, even in cases involving addictive and disordered eating. For many people, this is the plan that "finally worked."
On average, participants in her program lose a significant amount of weight in just two months and are able to maintain that loss for years to come. Equally astounding, published research shows that through her approach, post-menopausal women lose weight as quickly as women in their 20s and 30s. To date, 100,000 people from more than 100 countries around the world have participated in her online weight loss programs.
Her first two books, including “Bright Line Eating: The Science of Living Happy, Thin, and Free,” becameNew York Times bestsellers and instant Hay House favorites. Her work weaves the neuroscience of food addiction with powerful insights from Positive Psychology, IFS, and 12-Step Recovery to outline a roadmap for achieving true integrity and self-authorship around food. The Bright Line Eating mission is to help one million people around the globe discover lasting food freedom and have their “Bright Transformations” by 2025.
Listen in as I ask Dr. Thompson a variety of questions, and explore this fascinating world of Bright Line Eating.

Dr. of Naturopathy, Ayurvedic and Functional Medicine Specialist, Author of the International Best-Selling Book, The Rain Barrel Effect
Dr. Stephen Cabral developed his passion for health & wellness after going through severe health complications at the age of 17. He saw over 50 different doctors, tried over 100 different treatment protocols, but still saw no hope of recovery.
It wasn’t until he met an “alternative” health doctor, who explained where
his health complications came from and how he could become well again, that he began his recovery process.
He went on to become a board certified doctor of Naturopathy.

First of all, it has 5 pillars that are tracked throughout the day, and they align perfectly with my own UnDiet principles and what I coach.
Secondly, I always recommend people get nutritional blood panels done to test for deficiencies etc. But they are EXPENSIVE! However, Life Extend has a fantastic hook up to get a superior blood panel for just $100. I am waiting for my results and excited to see this comprehensive blood panel.
Thirdly, there are "Circles" where you can connect with like minded people and motivate and help each other. Join my circle here!

That’s why he’s gone on this podcast tour, to spread the word and bring awareness to what it takes to Get Well. He has several projects in the works, including courses in development for providing knowledge in bite-sized chunks.
More now than ever Dr. Pucci is deeply concerned about the numbers of patients who contact his office with a long list of medications, vitamins, and a history of emergency room visits. “People start to panic because they see a lack of control over their own health,” he warns. Plus they use nutrition incorrectly, substituting products off the shelf for the features they would want in a drug, even knowing that nutrition alone cannot compensate for unresolved, chronic health issues.

We hear a lot about vitamin supplementation, but likely not NEAR enough about minerals, the very building blocks of our bodies.
Barton Scott is a Chemical Engineer from McNeese University who always had sharp cognitive function, but began to suffer memory loss and mental fatigue at the age of 24.
To make matters worse, tragedy struck at the same time, when he unfortunately lost his Mother.
After taking many supplements during this time frame, nothing was working.
His search lead him to mineral supplementation, and research into how mineral supplements lacked effectiveness and absorption into the body.
He set out to fix the problem, and using his background in Chemical Engineering and experience as a nutritionist, he was able to identify the issues with the current offerings and apply a solution based on sound science.

Mold is a sneaky little bugger that COULD be harming your or your family's health right now!
In this episode we have The Mold Medic himself, Michael Rubino, to help guide us through the ins and outs of mold, how to tell if it's in our house, and how to get rid of it.
Rubino and his company All American Restoration have been featured in USA Today, NJBiz, Reader’s Digest, New Jersey Monthly, and Digital Trends. He was also selected as a speaker for the Spring 2020 Indoor Air Quality Association Meeting and Expo.
Rubino received a Bachelor of Science degree in 2008 and is a council-certified microbial remediator from the American Council for Accredited Certification, and a New York State Department of Labor Remediation Contractor. He has spent the past seven years involved in construction and remediating mold contamination.
He’s discovered that a person suffering from hypersensitivity to mold needs all three types of decontamination to regain their health. To educate those who are suffering, Rubino wrote the book Mold Medic. In detail, Rubino advises readers on how to choose a mold remediation company and the exact processes that the company should be using.

We often see statements like, "My doctors says I don't need supplements," or "Just eat a healthy diet and you'll get all the vitamins and minerals you need!"
And while these sentiments are well meaning, they aren't backed up by science. Every time I see these statements, I ask the people if they are willing to share the results of the test showing that they don't have any vitamin or mineral deficiencies. And every time the answer is predictable... they have no evidence they have no deficiencies.
Yet every testing lab in the country will tell you that all the tests show deficiencies, sometimes bad ones. So why would doctors be so careful about diagnosing everything else, yet send people with deficiencies home with the mistaken idea they had none, without running tests?
In this episode, I explore the current research on the topic, along with the legitimate concerns many doctors have with the dietary supplements industry.

So, turns out the immune system is pretty important for keeping us alive and thriving, and Sara Banta has had to learn that the hard way.
Through her journey, she has had to solve many health issues within her family including her son suffering from leukemia at the age of nine, her daughter having allergies, anemia and asthma, her husband having heart issues, her other daughter having comprehension and learning issues, in addition to headaches. This of course is on top of her own issues with fertility, hormones, adult acne, IBS, digestive issues, heavy metals and much more. She has had to Connect the dots and realize what was causing all of these issues and what the solutions were, which also of course involved the mind body connection. A lot of the same solutions that heal the gut or the brain are the same solutions that heal 90 percent of disease and health issues. With that, she has devoted her life to providing guidance and all natural health supplements and solutions that heal the body and the problems not just addressing the symptoms to her clients.
Sara is a Health Coach and busy mother of three. She completed her undergraduate studies at Stanford University with a degree in Economics and Psychology in 1998. In 2016, she graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and The Invincible Wellness System.

But more importantly, he has helped thousands of people successfully battle cancer using unconventional but highly effective methods.

The "Dirty Dozen" are those fruits and vegetables that contain so much pesticides that organic is highly recommended. And the list in 2019 includes some surprises!
I also discuss the Clean 15, those most likely to be pesticide free in non-organic form.
Lots of interesting health factoids in this podcast, including:
-70% of non-organic samples tested contained at least one pesticide, and many contained multiple pesticides.
-one Kale sample had 18 different types of pesticides in it!
-many of these results are disturbing and many of these chemicals are banned for use on food in other countries.
-The United States Department of Agriculture tests found 225 different pesticides and pesticide breakdown products on thousands of produce samples analyzed.
Environmental Working group analyzed USDA pesticide residue data and found that almost 70 percent of non-organic produce sampled tested positive for pesticide contamination.
More than 90 percent of samples of strawberries, apples, cherries, spinach, nectarines and kale tested positive for residues of two or more pesticides
-60% of kale samples tested contained Dacthal, a potentially carcinogenic pesticide that's banned in Europe. It's use is legal in the US on Kale, Broccoli, Sweet Potatoes, Eggplant and Turnips.
-The problem can't be washed away. Systemic pesticides are inside the produce and can't be washed away.
Listen in to learn how you can stay pesticide free and eat healthy fruits and veggies.

Never Binge Again! With Glenn Livingston, Ph.D.
Disillusioned by what traditional psychology had to offer overweight and/or food obsessed individuals, Dr. Livingston spent several decades researching how to stop binge eating and overeating via work with his own patients and a self-funded research program with more than 40,000 participants. Most important, however, was his own personal journey out of obesity and food prison to a normal, healthy weight and a much more lighthearted relationship with food.
Dr. Livingston was the long time CEO of a multi-million dollar consulting firm which has serviced several Fortune 500 clients in the food industry. You may have seen his (or his company's) previous work, theories, and research in major periodicals like The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Sun Times, The Indiana Star Ledger, The NY Daily News, American Demographics, or any of the other major media outlets you see on this page.
