If we are going to make a difference and be all God intended us to be, we must yield ourselves to Jesus and allow Him to freely use our tools, talents and treasures to impact the lives of our neighbors.
God has transported us from where we were into a community built upon Jesus, built into Jesus and built for Jesus. As believers we must allow God to reflect in us those qualities as we interact together. If we are to be builded together, we must be an authentic people, a people on display yielded to the master builder, Jesus Christ.
We must remember that hope is not in a politician, a political party, a process, a personality, or even a perspective. Our hope is in none other than the person of Jesus Christ, King of kings and Lord of Lords, the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. Regardless of who is President, Jesus is King!
In the midst of adversity and challenges and regardless of how dire things may seem there is still worship in Heaven. When Jesus is at the center my response to the adversities of life will be to worship Jesus who remains in control. In the end there is also worship. After everything has failed we see our hope is in none other than Jesus Christ and when all things are destroyed and then made new there will still be worship for we shall see Jesus face to face.
God desires that we ascribe ultimate value and beauty to him. We must choose to passionately and consistently pursue intimacy with God. An intimacy that will result in knowing Him and inviting others to encounter Him
Worship requires work. God intends to deploy us into the work of the ministry of reconciliation whereby we partner with God in displaying him to others in our sacred and secular contexts
The storms of life are within and without; they are inevitable. However, Jesus can and will see me through the storm and use it to draw me closer to himself. We must allow life’s storms to drive us into God’s presence
Before I can worship I must be free from that which oppresses me. If it contradicts scripture and confines me to a purpose other than God intended, my only hope is to turn to the deliverer (Jesus)
Despite life challenges and the Lord’s corrections, God is deeply and passionately in love with me and intends to use me to display His qualities to the world. I must believe what God says about himself! I must believe what God says about my life! I must believe what God says about me!
We must prioritize remembering who God is, where He’s brought me from and the Hope that I have in Him (Jesus). I must hear God, Love God, center my life upon God, teach others about God, serve others for God, and remember that God is my reward and that His glory is my life’s purpose
Worship is our reverent response to the revelation of God. When God reveals himself it is imperative that we respond with awe, adoration and willful affirmation. This behavior is a developed discipline. As we deepen our intimacy with Jesus we will find ourselves carried away by His beauty, His splendor and quite simply His person.
God has deposited the necessary people and spiritual resources (gifts) for the body corporate to adequately represent the qualities of Jesus Christ collectively to the community. We must yield to living in a way that fulfills our life's purpose and builds people up in their journey with Jesus
The Christian Life is intended to be fleshed out in connection with other believers. Unification over Isolation. Together we take care of each other and together we advance the gospel
Baptism is a visible display of an invisible experience. While we are risen to newness of life our declaration is one of hope in Jesus our Lord and King. The goal of the local church in this display and in its declaration is to duplicate ourselves and disciple others
The Gospel is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We must see the world changing power of the gospel and be light in a world enveloped in darkness
Our personal testimony of our salvation experience is essential in sharing with others the transformational power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
