Oh my goodness…. WE ARE FINALLY BACK! I welcome you back to the Chats With PreacherBoy Podcast; the SECOND season at that. It truly feels good to be back and we’re extremely thankful for the break we had, however it’s time to get back to business. And it’s only right to start this NEW season off by addressing that there is truly a “Season For Everything.”. Ya boy is back!
What a ride it has been… We finally made it to the conclusion of Season One! With that being said, it’s only right we go hard with a self checking episode to end the season. Quit Pointing The Finger… Thank you for all your support in this season, it truly means the world to us. See y’all again next season for Season Two!
Have you realized that subconsciously we treat God like a side piece and request things as if He’s a genie? I know I personally didn’t realize it for the longest, but it happens to the best of us. It’s time we stop treating God as the side piece and appreciate Him as the main thing without any other idols.
In the words of Druski, “You know I had to double it.”. It was only right that we spun the block for Part 2 of this topic. As we embark on this new series of “how do YOU feel about the church” (the Christian church) there has to be a reason why. Everything we do in life has a reason and purpose behind it. So take the time to see why we’re doing this series and the significance of it being down in such a time as this.
We made it to 2021 by the grace of God! Now with a new year in our midst that means we have things we desire to accomplish. We call them “New Year’s Resolutions”, but in order for us to accomplish any of those things we have to be intentional. We won’t be able to do the same things we did in 2020 in this year of 2021 expecting great growth and success! Change is needed and we can only get it if we’re being intentional!
Often times we take this for granted and have a sense of entitlement for things in life. As we just finished celebrating another Thanksgiving let’s understand why it’s so important to be thankful for EVERYTHING in life.
How many times have you second guessed yourself or stopped doing something that you knew was right to do because someone was in your ear telling you otherwise? Throughout life I’ve learned that people will always have something to say about YOU; good, bad, or indifferent. Instead of listening to them, just listen to God and DO YOU! Often times in life we find ourselves becoming stagnant because we always look back behind us versus what’s in front of us. Instead of moving forward in our lives we constantly go backwards because we are comfortable and familiar with what has already happened. There’s no growth in turning back from what we left. Stop turning back!

You ever find yourself asking God for something new in your life and wonder why He hasn’t answered you or gave it to you? The answer is simple. We’re asking God to do a new thing while still doing old habits. He wants us to get out of what we’re used to and do something new and better to get that which we are asking for. Time to get out of those comfort zones.
Sometimes letting go of the past is difficult for some of us. Even though it’s difficult it’s very important to do. Sometimes we’ve allowed our past to define our present and future because of the hurts, mistakes, and failures we went through. It’s time you be FREE and let go of the past.
Where do you draw the line when it comes to church and politics? Or is there even a line to be drawn? Should Christians be active in politics or should they sit back and allow whatever to take place in the government? Very important questions we have to ask ourselves. One of the biggest issues that a relationship sometimes go through is one of the individuals cheating on the other. You probably think, “what made them do this?” or “why would they do this?”. As we start our second season of our “Let’s Be Real” series let’s exam what drives a man and/or woman to cheat.
Often times the battles we face in life are within ourselves. Dealing with insecurities are one of those battles that we often times face and every battle seems to have a weighing effect on us. How do we deal with them?

Quitting is the bail out option we often choose over pushing through. The reason for it is simple; it’s so much easier to throw in the towel than it is to keep the towel, wipe the sweat off, and then push forward.
Why do marriages today not last as long as our parents, grandparents, etc? Why do we see much divorce even in the military? Does anyone strive to make it work? These are just a few of many questions that are asked in regards to marriage, so let’s dive into this topic to see the ways we can MAKE IT WORK.
Does love hurt? Some would argue yes it really does hurt, BUT in all reality I’m going to explain today why exactly love DOES NOT hurt. Some honest truths that even i needed in times of learning what love truly is and dispelling the myths that came with it.
Racism seems to be as big of a killer as the notorious “Corona Virus” that has been keeping everyone on edge and on lockdown. Racism is pure evil and it needs to be stopped. Choose love and not hate!

Pornography! Something that some consider to be a touchy subject.. Pornography is known for being as addicting as drugs and alcohol. It’s a weapon that the devil has masqueraded to be attractive and good to partake in, when in reality it’s destroying every bit of you from physically to spiritually.
Sometimes when we go through life we need to be reminded of the importance of not quitting. When obstacles, chaos, and all other things come to shake us and get us off our course we have to remember not to quit. Though quitting is an option, don’t accept that option! So here’s a reminder!
Is drinking and/or smoking a sin, why or why not? A question we posed to our listeners to prep them for this conversation and the truth behind drinking and smoking. Often times throughout history scripture has been used incorrectly to justify specific actions. Today we dispel what’s sin and not.
Praise and worship are vital actions that we do as believers when we live for Him. Though it’s a vital action we still have to understand the truth behind it and how to take part in it effectively. Don’t get caught up in the misconceptions of praise and worship.
You ever battled with fitting in and denying who you know you were destined to be? It’s your ideal self versus your real self. This week we’re going to cover what it takes to be real, because it’s easy to conform so much of your ideal self (fake you) that you push away the true identity God already sees you as.

Did you know even when people want you to fail or when they want to hurt you or purposely do hurt you, that you’re still suppose to love them? Loving people even when they make it hard to seems to be the most challenging thing in this Christian walk. We literally have to apply God’s Love daily even when we don’t want to because what we may be experiencing from people around us (family, friends, coworkers, etc). This week we will be learning that even Jesus loved unconditional when people made it hard to.
Do we truly know what it means to love others the way God designed? Do we know that God’s love is VERY DETAILED? This week, we’re covering what God’s love is and how we should be expressing it to everyone we encounter no matter their background of life.

This 8 weeks dealing with Marriage: The Rise, The Falls, and The Triumphs has truly been an eye opener mostly for myself as the podcast host: mostly because you can learn so much on how to be a better husband or wife in your marriage when you take the time to learn. We close out this mini series with a young and on fire for the Lord couple sharing their Rise, Falls, and Triumphs.

Freedom Friday will be a random Friday on any giving week dealing on a 1 word focus pertaining to where we may be in that week. For this week perseverance is key. When the cares of the world try to boggle us down we have to continue to persevere and push forward knowing that God has our backs.
The final part in our first mini series “Overcoming Addiction”. Here are some steps in order to execute the freedom that you already have in Christ. These steps are to help you overcome those addictions and truly walk in the deliverance that is right in front of you.
Transparency is really essential from those of us who profess to be living for Christ. People need to see that God is able to help us in whatever situation or struggle we have. So, here’s one last testimony for this mini series before our final episode next week.
Another real life testimony. An example of transparency at its finest. Getting a glimpse first hand of the power of addiction and the greater power of Christ being able to deliver you from it.
This is part 2 of our five part mini series “Overcoming Addiction”. For the next three weeks you’ll be able to listen to and witness some real life addictions that leaders have had to deal with while being in the church or before they accepted their callings.
Sometimes we don’t even realize what consumes most of our attention, and we often times don’t realize we made that thing as an idol and icon over God himself. We turned a one time thrill and/or activity into a addiction.
A lot of times in life we may get discouraged on long it takes us to accomplish our goals and dreams; don’t be dismayed, because the process is what shapes and molds you into what God wants you to be.
Prayer is a very strong tool that we need to use in our walk everyday with Christ. Prayer allows us to commune with our Father and allows us to speak with Him about the cares of the life, desires we have, and things we want to be done. So remember to pray always, in everything you do.
Going through life a lot of times we want things just given to us; whether that be the goals we have, dream jobs we want, or things we desire. You have to remember that everything has a beginning and there’s a start to every great successful person in the world. How will you begin?
