Dr. Christopher Green is a 3rd generation dentist and between his dad, grandpa, uncles, and cousins the Green’s have a collective 175 years + of dental experience in the family. In 2018 Dr.Green opened a 6 op practice from scratch that has rapidly grown to 22 employees. His startup has grown in 4 years from 1.3 -4.2 million in collections and now he uses these skills along with the training he has acquired to help other young dentists hoping to achieve similar results: Namely using The Practice Launchpad - a new practice owner side project with Dr. Taher Dhoon & Dr. Mark Costes that is dedicated to saving fellow dentists time, money, and frustration on their journey towards dental practice ownership. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the Colorado Rockies with his wife Jenna, Daughter Rowyn, Son Cameron, and dog Murphy. Dr. Green can be reached at practicelaunchpad@gmail.com. Dr. Pete Stover graduated from OU in 2002 and built a practice in Elk City, OK after 3 years at the OKC Indian Clinic. He and Sheri have been married for over 20 years and have 2 teenagers, Jaclyn and Jacob. Dr. Stover had an affinity for technology and has been a CEREC trainer, faculty at the Dallas Implant Institute, Fellow in the California Implant Institute, beta tester for Sirona, Blue Sky Bio, ClearCorrect, and developed Pilot Plus, a guided drill system for dental implants. As 3-D printing came on to the scene, Pete was an early adopter and much like a “cat lady”, he can’t remember just how many printers he has owned over the years. 3-D printing is a staple in Dr. Stover’s office for surgical guides, aligners, removable, full arch hybrids, occlusal guards, and there’s no end in sight.
Faith in Christ is the cornerstone of Pete’s family. They’ve served in the local church and they’ve even had the opportunity to work together in Thailand providing dental care in regional orphanages. Dr. Stover has had the opportunity to participate in dental mission work in 6 countries, and hopes to add many more.
As the latter portion of Pete’s career rolls around, he is enjoying the mentoring aspect all the more, but has no plans to stop learning and developing more skills, especially in the area of technology and implantology.

With our 100th episode behind us, we thought it was only fitting to officially introduce our newest member to the Life and Dentistry crew. Meet the one and only Friend Bechtel!
Friend Bechtel, though not a TN boy, was raised on a small hobby ranch in Northern Idaho. From humble beginnings, Friend is working hard to develop a future focus to both provide for his family and protect the future of dentistry. Post-graduation he operated a small construction business. First year of dental school he discovered podcasts and frankly has consumed more podcasts and taken more notes on them then probably his entire school combined. This earned him the attention of many leaders in dentistry including this lovely team. In dental school he founded a business organization to help his peers learn more of the business and prepare for the world to come.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife fostering and building new relationships, playing electric violin in local bands, and building his real estate portfolio.

Dr. Dave currently practices in San Antonio, Texas, but is originally from California. After graduating from dental school, he started out working 7 days a week. Dentistry, by nature, has an intense focus on the science and clinical aspect, with good reason. As professionals, we have to take care of our patients and provide the highest level of care that's in our capabilities. But, if you remove the clinical side from the discussion, you are still left with a relationship that needs attention, and is arguably just as important: the doctor/assistant relationship.
As the saying goes: "if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life." And the environment that you work in is a huge contributing factor to the level of happiness and satisfaction that should come with employment.

The phrase "I've hit rock bottom" is one that we all have used or heard someone say at one point or another in our lives. Some of us were the ones saying it because we truly felt like we had hit rock bottom. Others were listening to someone else say that about themselves. Either way, it is a universal saying in regards to things not going so well in someone's life.
While it is a universal saying, it is also a relative term, meaning that one person's rock bottom may or may not be the same as someone else's rock bottom. This is where our guest (Lisa Moler, CEO of MedMark) sheds some light on her struggles in life and what led to her success.
We have all had ups and downs throughout life, but it is so important to surround yourself with people who genuinely care about you to allow you to succeed in all areas of your life. I believe you all with enjoy this episode and get a lot of valuable content out of it.

I was watching an NBA game the other night and was focusing on how the coach and players interacted during the entire event. Now these are big time players we're talking about with big salaries who have essentially made it to the pinocle in their profession. Each one of these players has a coach. Now you would think that if someone made it to the top of their profession, that they wouldn't need coaching, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. So when you step back and think about this, if a professional athlete needs a coach, then wouldn't we as dentists need one as well.
Now the NBA and and dentistry are two totally different things, BUT the concept of coaching is a universal thing. By surrounding yourself with people who are more skilled then you, or have more knowledge than you, you are only setting yourself up for success in life.
That is why we had Dr. Anissa Holmes on the show to discuss what coaching has done for her in her life, both personally and professionally. She genuinely explained what she has discovered when it comes to the advantages of coaching, as well as how that has transitioned into her marketing and allowed her to gain an insane number of followers on her office facebook page.
She gives the "WOW" factor a new meaning! (no pun intended)

Have you ever woke up in the morning and thought to yourself that you would like to own a dental practice? How about owning 6 practices in just 6 years of graduating dental school? Well if you did, then you have a lot in common with our guest Dr. Addison Killeen!
Dr. Addison graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry, and took an associateship job straight out of school. As a little time went on, he ended up leaving that associateship and then getting involved in a partnership where he is now part owner of 6 dental offices!
It was very interesting to hear his story on his first associateship, what happened, and why it didn't end up working out. Something very cool from this, is that his first opportunity ended up not working out, but because of this, another door was opened and now he is part owner in 6 dental practices! He has developed a spreadsheet that he uses to crunch and evaluate the practice numbers. This spreadsheet will soon be available on his website www.addisonkilleen.com and he also has a book titled "By The Numbers: A Guide to Buying and Running a Dental Practice" which will be available on Amazon in the neat future.
