We are a group of guys podcasting about the music of singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett -- as viewed from the Great Lakes State. But since there is beer involved, who knows what we will end up talking about.
Now that we've recorded more than a hundred episodes, we've decided to split the feed up. This is the feed for our first one hundred episodes.
Our big hundredth episode coincides with the start of Summerzcool and we take a look at the first two nights of the new tour. (Cameo appearances by Jennifer and Lee. Special yawn effects by Jacob.) (The Roger Clyne podcast starts at 29:33.)

On the agenda: a review of Jimmy's new digital download EP. What we really talked about: more bitching about how Ticketmaster sucks. (Special guests: Joe and Jennifer.)
With the tour dates confirmed and an unexpected Michigan date among them, the guys relate their latest ticket-buying adventures. Another volume in the unending multipart series, "Ticketmaster Sucks". (Roger Clyne podcast starts at 40:45.)
A big crowd tonight, as the boys gather to discuss Nadirah's album "Nod to the Storyteller". (Special guests: Joe and Jennifer.)
Schmoe, Scott, Mickey, and Mike pick the four JB songs that exemplify the holidays and the new year. (The Roger Clyne podcast starrts at 20:56.)
Scott, Hud, and Mike show up to help ring out the year with a look back at 2008. (Special guests: Joe, Jennifer, and Lee.)
We interview Jack Aronson, the CEO of Garden Fresh Gourmet and the man behind Margaritaville chips & salsa; followed by a discussion of our favorite food-related Buffett songs. (Special Guest: Jack Aronson. Also appearing: Cindy.)
We see out the tour with concert clips and tip our hats to Election Day with playlists for the candidates. (Special guest: Jennifer.)
Scott is back, making up for lost time by supplying his tailgate playlist and "Margaritaville" verse; and the boys get back to album reviews, with a look at "One Particular Harbour". (Special guest: Hud. Cameo by Jennifer.)
Schmoe & Mike's concert-going adventures continue and Greg & MIke have new "Margaritaville" verses. Special guest: Joda. Cameo by Jennifer.
Schmoe's playlist project better end soon because I'm running out of football puns. This week, it's Greg's turn. Also, the guys show off their lyric writing skills.
This being the day after our local Roger Clyne and The Peacemakers show, you can probably guess what the topic is. But we also find time to discuss JB's two Paris concerts. (Cameos by Jennifer.)
The gang finally sits down for their Last Mango in Paris review. With his Houston hotel flooded following Hurricane Ike, Mike is still in town and was able to join us in person. Greg and Scott join Schmoe and Mickey as well, for a raucous and rambling discussion just like old times. (Special guest: Jennifer.)
What was intended to be our review for Last Mango in Paris turns into a rehearsal for our review for Last Mango in Paris. Guests include Lee, Cindy, Jen II, and another special message from Scott.
Back at the Z'ac, as Greg would say, to start Season 6. We look at the fourth leg of the Year of Still Here tour, with an in-depth discussion of Listener Sarah's Bristow VA review. Plus, hurricane songs and the reaction to Mickey's tailgate playlist. Special guests: Cindy and Lee.
Season 5 ends with another football playlist, Greg reporting from the Margaritaville Cafe in Myrtle Beach, and Scott getting drunk. Cameo by Rachel. Background vocals by DJ and Jacob.
Mickey, Greg, Schmoe, and Mike discuss the first of our JB-inspired football tailgate playlists plus the latest in Jimmy Buffett news. (Cameo by Rachel.)
How's this for a quick turnaround. But then again we've got to get this one out before the world ends today. For now, the guys give short takes on several topics and plan Buffett playlists for football tailgating. Suggest yours at podcast@northcoastcast.com.

Our bad luck streak with tech continues as the guys try their first Skype call to discuss Listener Ed's review of the Alpine Valley concert.
Mike was free and in town which set in motion this bonus podcast. We study the first concert of the third leg of the tour; but we waited so long to begin, we were well in our cups by the start of recording, leading to one of our wildest, loudest, most drunken episodes!
Wherein our heroes talk about ... umm ... ehhh ... stuff ... kinda. And at least Mickey proves he can record and make phone calls at the same time. (Voices: Scott, Greg, Mickey, Mike, Schmoe and special guest Ashley.)
We've complained in the past about the prevalence of cover songs in Jimmy's albums and on tour, but now, in a new North Coast fourcast, we choose what covers we do like. A big crowd tonight with Schmoe, Greg, Mike, Mickey, Scott, Patti, and Larry on the panel, with guest appearances by DJ, Nathan, and Rachel.
Another look at Jimmy's Pine Knob show, along with the final dates of the tour's second leg, Mickey monologues about Saturday Night Live, and Rachel helps out with three -- count em, three -- jokes.
A special double feature in the wake of Jimmy’s 2008 concert appearance. (With guest vocals by Scott, Greg, Jacob, Patti, her cousin Debbie, Schmoe’s daughter Kate, and others.)
The boys make their deadline just under the wire, reviewing the last three of their ultimate setlists in time to hear Jimmy’s own carefully chosen setlist on Tuesday. (Background vocals: Schmoe’s & Mike’s kids and a few oscillating fans.)
The title refers to both Crazy Rummy and the fact Greg and Mickey finally offer up the first of our ultimate setlists. Special guests: Rachel and Nathan.)
A bonus podcast, recorded at Casa de Schmoe. The boys rehash the headlines, review "Swine Not?", take another look at fantasy setlists, and learn something disturbing about Greg.
Here comes another podcast about Roger Clyne...and Mexico! They just can't help themselves: Mike and Schmoe went to RCPM's Circus Mexicus in Puerto Penasco last weekend, and are full of stories. For those of you hungry for Buffett content, they at least made a stop at the new Margaritaville Cafe in Glendale AZ along the way. (Special appearances by DJ and Rachel.)
For a short episode this sure took a long time to edit. Schmoe, Greg, and Mickey see out our second year and kick off our third looking back at the tour's first leg and looking ahead at a new project. (Special appearance by Jen.)
With the start of our new season and Jimmy's concert tour coinciding, we bant-- I mean, we discuss the new setlist. (Panel includes Greg, Scott, Schmoe, Mickey, and, once again in person, Mike. Cameo appearance by DJ.)
Another season winds to a close as Greg, Mickey, Scott, Schmoe, and Mike review the Glendale AZ mini concert. And we bring back the fourcast, as Schmoe quizzes us on our favorite Jimmy Buffett performances. Share yours at podcast@northcoastcast.com. (Special appearance by Jennifer.)

I left WCSX (94.7 FM) on all day Thursday but came home to find my recorder had crapped out after only ninety minutes. The preliminaries out of the way, we finally get down to reviewing the Live By the Bay concert video. And the wait was worth it since Mickey and Schmoe were not only joined by Mike (on phone) and Hud, but Scott and Greg managed to show up again too! (Cameo by Jennifer.)

Well, get somebody to pinch you because you're dreaming too much! Our marathon review of A White Sport Coat and a Pink Crustacean continues, this time with Scott and Greg getting their two cents in. They and Mickey and Schmoe discuss the Indy concert and reveal their pathetic ignorance of the BBBB box set. Guests include DJ, Carol & The Serb, and Elise.

Only Schmoe, Greg, Mickey, Christina, and Jacob participating, but our look at the latest Bama Breeze Tour shows took 150 minutes to record and thirty hours to edit! (The Roger Clyne Podcast starts at 17:07.)
Scott is back, joining Schmoe, Greg, and Mickey in saying a possible goodbye to Mike. We conduct a wide-ranging, free-wheeling interview with Mike, quizzing him on his Buffetty past. Special appearances by Christina, Greg 2.0, and Schmoe's and Mike's brood.
The group is kicked outside, where we discuss Barometer Soup and make fun of Greg. Special guests: Schmoe's kids and Elise. Background music by AC/DC.
Greg takes Mike, Mickey, and Schmoe for a scenic drive through recent JB news, gets us lost while talking about tequila, and runs out of gas en route to the big finish. But at least an unanswered question from Episode 37 gets revealed. Special appearance by Elise.

The long awaited best/worst discussion; and fueled by pizza and beer (Roni Rage?) the trio even pick fights with their listeners!
Admittedly, this is not the show we intended. Two guys didn't show and our recording studio was double-booked. We're holding off on the best/worst lists we planned, and instead we'll just stick with the usual crap.

The North Coast boys, live in concert. Direct from the Pine Knob parking lot, where they tailgate and share their reactions to Jimmy's first Michigan show in three years.
A new set must mean a new season! Scott, Schmoe, Mike, and Mickey relocate from Big Al's to their new recording studio at Zodiac Racquet Club, where they talk about the new video, review Far Side of the World, and plan for next week's concert.
Greg, Schmoe, Scott, Mickey, and Mike talk Somewhere Over China. With cameo appearances by Meredith, Joe, Laury, and Kevin.
The second of our three video diary entries from the Cheeseburger in Caseville festival.
Mike, Schmoe, Greg, and Mickey discuss the new single, the Hoot bonus DVD, yet more from Caseville, and reviews of Coconut Telegraph. With Dan and Laury as the noisy and mutinous studio audience.
The first of our three video diary entries from the Cheeseburger in Caseville festival.
Mike, Mickey, Schmoe, and Greg discuss their pilgrimage to the Cheeseburger Festival, and Scott joins in to opine on Banana Wind. Special guest stars: Meredith and Laura.
We tried using an agenda this week and ended up with our longest show yet. Bullet points include a look at the Week in Audio, our Top Ten favorite songs, reviews of Off to See the Lizard, and assorted walk-ons.
Our biggest turnout yet, Don, Laury, Greg, Greg 2.0, Mike, Mickey, Schmoe, and even Scott, discussing the new DVD and a classic album.
It's a double-wide episode to make up for last week's absence. Half of it is our normal show with Mike, Schmoe, and Mickey. But Schmoe, Mike, and Sarah recorded a whole other Gospel From the Coast show last week, which is included as a postscript.
A local news exclusive, Greg fills us in on the incredible events of last Thursday...all unfortunately at the expense of anything at all Buffett related.
A little late, but here's the video from Saturday, July 1, when Mike hosted a listening party for the Jones Beach concert. Schmoe is threatened by undersea monsters and Mike’s wife Sarah sings a nightlight song and mistakes conga lines for party lines.
Just Mike and Mickey and Schmoe tonight discussing the last two concerts, with another ticket hunt story and an audio flashback to 1995.
A veritable Sargasso of a show, as our cast (Schmoe, Mike, Mickey, Greg, and Schmoe's sons Jacob and Nate) struggle to find the Topics of Conversation: more Caseville, souvenirs, Uncle Warren, a shoutout to Jackson Quigley, and memories of Buckeye Lake 93
Topics include our Ticketmaster misadventures, tailgating plans, summer storms, the shortest longest day of the year, punchline races, Caseville cheeseburgers, and even jury duty. Greg joins the group and it turns out we don't even really need Greg 2.0.
I recorded WCSX (94.7 FM) for eight hours Sunday and Monday to catch this ad. It aired at 9:22 AM Monday, less than an hour before Pine Knob tickets went on sale. The artwork comes from the Entertainment section (3F) of the Sunday Free Press.
A double-wide show to make up for last week. Mike, Mickey, and Schmoe review the last five concerts, look back at past shows, and critique Sirius radio. Plus the latest on Scott.
Our Wednesday show is actually last Friday's show, due to Problems Existing Between Recorder and Chair. The gang assembles at Schmoe's house to make margaritas and listen to the Atlanta concert on Sirius. But where's Scott?
Watch Schmoe learn to make margaritas, Listen to Mike play an out-of-tune guitar. We hoped to record our reactions to the first night of the 2006 tour - but we were too busy drinking! What we heard sounded great...and what we drank was mighty fine too!
Start time was delayed by the Pistons/Heat Game 5. Mike, Mickey, and Joe are joined by Greg; and we got cameos from Don, Meredith, Greg 2.0, and BK Kevin. We sound tired and worn-out by the game, but hopefully the bonus three endings might make up for it.
Guests stars: Scott, Greg, Greg 2.0, and Patti. Despite the tape trouble we still manage to talk too long about Buckeye Lake, Buffett parties of yesteryear, and, once again, Alpine Valley.
Almost down to twenty minutes! This week, a chat with Mike, Mickey, and Schmoe; a shot with Scott; and a visit from Heidi.
Schmoe brings notes but the conversation still meanders. Topics include Hoot, Fingers Taylor, a theme song, Alpine Valley, last week's show remembered, and a visit from the wacky neighbor!
Wherein Schmoe, Mike, Scott, and Mickey decide what to call the podcast, what format to use, what artwork to use, and who has to pay for the pitchers. Oh yeah, and some stuff about Buffett too.
