The Bears are somehow 7–3 and right in the middle of an NFC North race that makes absolutely no sense. This week we break down what their winning streak means, how sustainable it is, and where the division stands as the Lions regress and the Packers continue to look mid.

We cover all the biggest Week 11 storylines: Chiefs playoff danger, Broncos surging, Falcons collapsing, Panthers improving, Texans fading, and more. Plus our ongoing cursed-teams debate, Vikings QB problems, and one of the funniest Shot Takes in a long time.

It’s Week 11 — chaos everywhere. Let’s talk about it.

The internet has spoken, the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles have formed The Alliance, and the boys are here to break down the most unlikely power duo in football history.

From the meme that became a movement to how this alliance could actually shake up the NFC, Brett and Nick dive into what it all means for both franchises, and the fans riding the wave.

Then it’s a full-throttle sports catch-up:

Dodgers go back-to-back in a World Series heartbreak for the Blue Jays.

ESPN vs. YouTube TV sparks a streaming war rant for the ages (“Bring me back to cable, I don’t care anymore.”)

ESPN Bet collapses as Penn Entertainment fumbles a $2 billion deal, proving DraftKings and FanDuel still own the board.

We also run through Week 10 of the NFL, where chaos reigned, stars dropped, and playoff dreams started to wobble.

NFL injury carnage hits hard: Jayden Daniels, Travis Hunter, and Tucker Kraft headline a brutal stretch shaping the playoff picture.

Week 7 was pure chaos. From AFC North embarrassment to NFC contenders flexing their muscle. The Bums break down every matchup, call out frauds, and somehow defend Joe Flacco’s late-career heater.

Steelers @ Bengals:
“Both of these teams stink.” The AFC North looks like a dumpster fire, but somehow Joe Flacco keeps throwing dimes. Tomlin’s seat might finally be getting warm.

Rams vs Jaguars (London):
What exactly are the Jaguars? Trevor Lawrence might be broken. The Rams, meanwhile, look like a legit Super Bowl contender overseas.

Raiders @ Chiefs:
Raiders stink. Chiefs cruise. Vegas refuses to trade Maxx Crosby for some reason.

Patriots @ Titans:
Do the Titans even like football anymore? Vrabel’s team looks lost, and Henderson can’t buy a carry. Tennessee might be headed for 1–16 territory.

Dolphins @ Browns:
The Browns blow out Miami. With -400 odds of being fired next, when will Mike McDaniel be set free?

Panthers @ Jets:
Justin Fields benched, Tyrod Taylor in. The Jets’ season is a catastrophe. The Panthers aren’t good either, but someone had to win this rock fight.

Eagles @ Vikings:
Philly gets right. Minnesota’s QB situation makes zero sense. J.J. McCarthy’s healthy but benched “for rest.” Sure.

Colts @ Chargers:
Indy looks playoff-ready, while the Chargers are just dumb football right now. Injured or not, it’s the same old story.

Packers @ Cardinals:
Green Bay sneaks by again. “Glass half full, 4-1-1. Glass half empty, you’re almost losing to bad teams.” The Cardinals? Just unpleasant.

Commanders @ Cowboys:
Are the Commanders bottoming out? Jayden Daniels adds a “knee injury” to his resume. Dallas offense looked frisky, defense, not so much.

Giants @ Broncos:
Broncos drop 33 in the 4th, but the Giants’ kicker ruins everything.

Falcons @ 49ers:
Kyle Shanahan might be Coach of the Year. The Falcons continue their Jekyll & Hyde routine, no clue which team will show up weekly.

Buccaneers @ Lions:
The Lions roll while the Bucs’ injury list reads like a CVS receipt. Too banged up to compete.

Texans @ Seahawks:
The Seahawks are fun again. Houston remains the NFL’s biggest mystery. “What is C.J. Stroud?”

Saints @ Bears:
Sloppy but telling. The Bears have a real coach, a real run game, and a defense that showed up. Caleb Williams was off, but it didn’t matter. Spencer Rattler? Rough day.

Week 6 gave us chaos, controversy, and comedy, classic NFL. The Bleacher Bums break down every game from a wild weekend of football:

Eagles vs Giants: The Birds are falling apart. AJ Brown trade rumors swirl while Cam Skattebo becomes a New York folk hero.

Bears vs Commanders: Chicago makes a statement, but what’s up with Alex Moore’s officiating crew? Investigation time.

Broncos vs Jets: London got another stinker: 13–11? Do the Broncos play down to their opponents or just not care?

Rams vs Ravens: The Ravens might be cooked. John Harbaugh on the hot seat?

Chargers vs Dolphins: Tua throws his team under the bus, McDaniel’s seat gets warmer, and the Chargers somehow still worry us.

Cowboys vs Panthers: The “Flus effect” has arrived. Dallas defense is a joke.

Patriots vs Saints: Boston fans are celebrating like it’s 2004. Drake Maye might be the only thing keeping them alive.

Cardinals vs Colts: Jacoby Brissett outplayed Kyler, who’s too busy with Battlefield 6.

Seahawks vs Jaguars: Sam Darnold bombs away, but the ground game’s suspect.

Bengals vs Packers: We have no idea what Green Bay is. Or Cincinnati.

49ers vs Buccaneers: Baker Mayfield for MVP...yes, we said it.

Lions vs Chiefs: Detroit mentally checked out. The Chiefs are inevitable.

Bills vs Falcons: Are the Bills frauds or just playing down again?

The Bleacher Bums are back with a spicy Week 5 recap, and this one’s full of chaos. The Rams shot themselves in the foot while Mac Jones suddenly looks like the future in San Francisco. Meanwhile, Cleveland’s got us scratching our heads: they traded Joe Flacco to the Bengals… but what exactly is their plan?

We dive into whether J.J. McCarthy is actually healthy, if the Ravens are officially in panic mode, and whether the Texans are really back or we’re just overreacting. The Colts look legit, Geno Smith might be running out of time, and the Jets are still hunting for that elusive first win.

Connor’s not buying what the Eagles are selling after another shaky outing from Jalen Hurts, while the Broncos clawed their way to a gutsy comeback win. The Titans finally get in the win column, the Cardinals completely collapse, and Kyler Murray’s future looks grim.

Baker Mayfield for MVP? Sam Darnold is turning into Kirk Cousins 2.0? The Chargers’ vibes are off, Omarion Hampton’s injured, and the Patriots pull off a huge upset while the Bills once again lose to a random team.

We close things out with Shot Takes, rapid-fire reactions, hot takes, and zero filter.

Week 4 had everything: international games, rookie firsts, defensive heroics, and plenty of chaos.

We kick things off at MetLife Stadium, where Jaxson Dart earned his first NFL win as Chargers QB in a gritty 21–18 victory over the Giants. The win was huge for L.A., but the Giants suffered a major loss with rookie star Malik Nabers going down.

From there, we move to Kansas City, where Patrick Mahomes carved up Baltimore in a 37–20 statement game that reasserted the Chiefs as the AFC’s gold standard. Meanwhile, Jacksonville shocked the 49ers 26–21 on the road, though the win came with bad news as Travon Walker underwent wrist surgery.

Across the pond, the Steelers edged the Vikings 24–21 in Dublin, marking the NFL’s first regular-season game in Ireland. The Seahawks won a thriller over the Cardinals on a walk-off field goal, and the Falcons topped the Commanders in an under-the-radar shootout.

But maybe the wildest ending came in Las Vegas: the Bears blocked a potential game-winning field goal to beat the Raiders 25–24. At 2–2, Chicago suddenly feels alive again, but is this a real turning point, or just a lucky bounce?

We also spotlight the Eagles staying unbeaten against the Bucs, the Bills rolling the Saints, and the Lions dismantling the Browns. Monday night closed with the Dolphins saving their season against the Jets and the Broncos crushing the Bengals.

Week 3 was wild! Dolphins @ Bills, the Packers actually lose to the Browns, and CJ Stroud looks off. We shout out a legit Vikings defense, question Steelers–Patriots, marvel at the undefeated Colts, celebrate the Bears’ first win over the Cowboys, and talk Lions as NFC North favorites while the Ravens keep putting the ball on the turf.

Around the league:
Dolphins @ Bills — is Mike McDaniel sticking around long enough to draft his own QB?
Packers lose to the Browns — so much for 17-0.
CJ Stroud struggles — what’s going on with Houston’s star QB?
Vikings defense looks legit — physical, disciplined, and making winning plays.
Steelers @ Patriots — still not buying either as “good.”
Colts stay undefeated — didn’t see that coming.
Bears dominate the Cowboys for their first win.
Lions look like NFC North champs in waiting.
Ravens fumbling problem — they better fix it fast.

This week, the Bleacher Bums go full throttle on Week 2 of the NFL season, breaking down every headline and hot take that matters.

We start with the Packers, is their defense actually elite, or are we overreacting to a mid-level offense? Then we dig into the strange case of Brian Thomas Jr., who suddenly looks afraid to take a hit, and the ugly slugfest between the Cowboys and Giants that felt more like two bad teams trading mistakes than a real showdown.

The Dolphins look cooked, and we debate whether Mike McDaniel’s seat is officially hot. We cover Mac Jones leading the 49ers to victory, the absolute disaster that is the Pittsburgh Steelers, and whether the Colts’ hot start is real or just a mirage. J.J. McCarthy’s Week 1 breakout seems less impressive after facing a bad Bears team, while C.J. Stroud’s shocking drop-off leaves us asking what happened?

Finally, we dive deep into the Chicago Bears, Ryan Poles’ roster decisions, the state of the rebuild (again?!), and the mess that unfolded in Detroit.hey

If you love bold takes, in-depth breakdowns, and a little bit of Bears fan pain, this episode is for you.

Week 1 of the NFL season is officially wrapped, and you know what that means: it’s time for the ultimate overreactions, hot takes, and way-too-early predictions. We dive deep into every angle of the opening slate of games, breaking down which teams came out firing and which ones left their fans shaking their heads.

From jaw-dropping rookie debuts to shocking upsets, we ask the big question: is it time to panic, or should fans show some patience? We talk about the quarterbacks who lit it up, the defenses that looked elite, and the stars who flat-out disappeared. Along the way we call out the biggest winners and losers, highlight teams that looked like Super Bowl contenders versus those already trending toward pretender status, and debate players who silenced doubters versus those who raised even more questions.

And of course, we close it all out with Shot Takes, bold hot takes paired with a shot to make them sting even more. Whether you’re celebrating a huge Week 1 win or already questioning your team’s future, this episode brings the laughs, debates, and football talk you need to kick off the season.

Football is officially back, and The Bleacher Bums Podcast are kicking off the season with predictions, hot takes, and a little heartbreak. We go through it all: Coach of the Year, MVP candidates, Rookie of the Year on both sides of the ball, Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, NFC and AFC winners, and ultimately our Super Bowl pick. Plus, we reveal our “Cursed Team” the one squad that looks destined for greatness but always finds a way to collapse.

We also do a quick Week 1 preview, pointing out why the early slate feels like a snooze-fest compared to the must-watch matchups later in the day. And yes, we’re already bracing for our Bears to drop Monday Night against the Vikings… but could they surprise us?

As always, we wrap things up with Shot Takes. Bold, fun, and maybe a little reckless.

In this episode, we kick things off with a full breakdown of the AFC East — Justin Fields stepping in as QB for the Jets with rookie head coach Aaron Glenn, the Bills still hunting for a Super Bowl, questions around whether the Mike McDaniel Magic is over in Miami, and if the Patriots could shock the entire division.

Next, we move to the NFC West — Connor and Nick are fairly high on the Cardinals being competitive, even though this might be Kyler Murray’s last season in Arizona. Will the Rams win the division? Can the 49ers stay healthy for a full run? And what will the new-look offense bring to Seattle?

Finally, we wrap things up with the AFC West — are the Chiefs still the favorite, or will the Chargers finally steal the ring this season? The Broncos looked promising last year with rookie Bo Nix, but can they replicate that success? And while the Raiders’ season might already feel over, expect them to fight until the end.

View Details

The Ravens enter as heavy favorites in the AFC North, but can the Bengals overcome their shaky defense and leaky offensive line to crash the party? Will the Steelers, now led by Aaron Rodgers, be stuck in another 9–8 purgatory? And with the Browns already battling chaos before Week 1, is their season doomed before it even begins?

Over in the NFC North, the question looms: are the Lions ready to roar to another crown, or is a shocker brewing? Can the Packers rise above with Jordan Love still viewed as “mid-tier”? Will Ben Johnson and Dennis Allen spark the Bears’ long awaited revival? And can rookie J.J. McCarthy steer the Vikings into contention, or will Minnesota sink to the bottom of the North?

From frozen turf wars to franchise-altering storylines, we’re breaking down every angle in this week’s North Division Throwdown.

It's been a while since we've last spoken and we have to speed up our NFL division previews. This week we tackle two divisions, the NFC East and NFC South. In the East, the Eagles look locked in as favorites despite Landon Dickerson’s knee scare and major expectations on newly extended Saquon Barkley. The Commanders are riding momentum under Dan Quinn after last year’s surprise playoff run, while the Cowboys stir headlines with Dak Prescott predicting a deep postseason push and Micah Parsons still in a contract standoff. The Giants linger as longshots, but rookie RB Dante Miller’s preseason breakout has fans buzzing.

In the South, Tampa Bay is eyeing a fifth straight crown with Baker Mayfield preserved for Week 1 and rookie WR Emeka Egbuka shining, though Tristan Wirfs’ injury looms large. Atlanta’s fate hinges on Michael Penix Jr. in a true boom or bust season, while the Saints begin the Kellen Moore era hoping to bounce back from the basement. Carolina stays in rebuild mode under Dave Canales, looking for any spark to climb out of the division’s cellar.

Who do we think are legit and whose season might be over before it even starts? Listen to find out. Connor has a breakfast shot take, Nick adds another state to our list of 'Worst States,' and Producer Brett has it out for a certain piece of technology that hasn't changed in 30 to 40 years.

Connor drops a shot take so confusing it broke our brains, and Producer Brett wants better AI ads… not made by AI, but showing how it actually helps people. Can we get that?
