This is the 576th consecutive episode of Mornings With Mike and what a wild, fun, challenging, and fulfilling road it's been... this isn't goodbye, it's a see you soon.
Whether in good times or in bad, stress is always around us and present therefore it's a must we learn to manage it both instances... here's how.
When we change who we are for the sake of satisfying others, we begin to jeopardize our own happiness and fulfillment in the process.
The major battle we're up against every day when it comes to achieving our goals are the distractions that surround us and take away our focus.
I'm getting personal and sharing a person, place, thing, book, and event that's had the biggest impact in my life over the years and why.
When it comes to doing what we want to do in order to achieve all of our goals, dreams, and aspirations.. we don't need permission or a good reason to take action.
Our happiness is fragile since our thoughts dictate how we feel.. the good news is that we 100% control what we think and focus on.
We're all fighting some thing or things whether it's fear, insecurities, or limiting beliefs and these three steps will help assure we win the fight.
Whether we find ourselves in a winning or losing situation, if we follow these three steps we'll always come out on the winning side of things.
We're often asked the question, "what would you do if you knew you couldn't fail" although it's a terrible question considering failure is part of the process of winning.
Without these three steps in place, it becomes easy to spot failure from a mile away when it comes to our goals we're out to achieve.
Asking questions (these specific 5) is the answer when it comes to building deeper more connected relationships with those who matter most to us.
Trust is an integral part to any successful relationship but how do we develop that trust when it's been compromised by ourselves and others?

Here's three quick steps any one of of us can take to begin creating more health, happiness, and fulfillment in our lives.
When it comes to our goals, it is a must we continue to battle these two obstacles along the way in order to achieve the successes we seek.
Sometimes it's just a matter of changing the order of events we believe is necessary for success to occur that gets us there much faster.
What we do moment to moment quickly becomes our past which is what ends up dictating what our future looks like.
Success isn't just achieving a goal, instead true success is how and what we feel along the way and when we finally get there as well.
When it comes to achieving all of our goals, dreams, and aspirations, we may never feel the confidence to do so and that's fine so long as we have the faith to take action.
When it comes to achieving our goals and the successes we seek, the answers on how to get there can be found in the questions we ask.
The key to all success isn't just showing up (that's the start yes) but more so if and how we decide to step up once we've shown up.
Remembering the past allows us to reflect back on lessons learned, how far we've come, and provides us with the motivation and conviction to keep moving forward.
It isn't just the bad times that shall pass, but the good times as well therefore let's make it a point to enjoy and appreciate them.
When we declare who we are, what we believe, and what we stand for, we not only let others know where we stand, it serves as a reminder to ourselves as well.
While it's the end result we want most for any goal we're out to achieve, it's the hope we feel along the way that keeps us going and brings us the most happinesses.
The ultimate failure we can experience is success without fulfillment so let's make it a point to be mindful when choosing between economic potential and personal fulfillment.
Reflecting back on tough times we've gotten through serves as a great reminder that we're strong, ready, and willing to get through whatever challenges come our way.
Life indeed does begin at the end of our comfort zones although getting there requires that we're patient with ourselves along the way.
Regardless of how we started the first half of this year, it's not how we start that counts but how we finish so let's check-in on how we're doing so far.
Time is our most valuable asset, we all get the same amount of it and how we decide to spend it is what determines it's value.
While change can be scary in any area of our lives, it's the only thing that's constant, that we know will happen, so it's a must we embrace it.

Average effort will continue to get us average results and so if it's awesome results we're after, it's a must we give awesome effort.
Being disciplined to do the things we must to do in order to have the things we've decided we must have happens naturally, more easily when our focus is on the dream (vision), not the discipline to make it happen.
We don't need a title or power by association to take action towards creating the lives we dream about and want for ourselves.
Our phones connect us, provide us with info, and offer us a sense of security at times however if we aren't mindful, they also distract us from everything going on around us called life.
What have you been told you're too old, too young, too small, too big, too inexperienced, too whatever, to do? Do it anyways.
Through all life's ups and downs, it's gratitude that gets us through it all and has us coming out better, stronger on the other side.

When it comes to our dreams, our goals, and aspirations, we miss 100% of the shots we never take so let's take our shot at creating all it is we want for ourselves.
I'm grateful for all of the valuable life lessons my dad taught me over the years (especially these 10) before losing him to cancer at the age of 57... Happy Fathers Day dad.
If you and I are to achieve our dreams, it is a must we take action knowing that resistance to take action will always be there.
Decisions and moves we make will always be questioned by others and when they are, let's make it a point to always stay focused on who we are and what we want, nothing else.
We all have our own definition of what our own daring adventure looks like, let's focus on that and no one else's and live our own best daring adventure.
When it comes to our goals, the limits that stand in the way of us achieving any one of them are there because we've put them there.
We all want to be recognized for our wins and successes however, if we're waiting on others to acknowledge us for our achievements, we may be waiting forever.

We all will suffer one of two pains.. the pain of discipline (doing must we must to to have what we've decided we must have) or the pain of regret, the choice is ours to make.
The road to greatness, to all it is we want, dream of, and aspire to be can be a lonely one, but it's so much better than the crowded road to mediocrity.
A business failure, getting let go from a job, and going through a divorce all felt embarrassing to me until I realized three simple facts that helped me overcome my feeling of embarrassment.

When it comes to creating the health, happiness, and fulfillment we want in our lives and how we want it, it's a must we play by our own rules and no one else's.
We don't have to go live in one of the 5 known "blue zones" in the world where people are known to live longer to increase our life span, we can use the same 3 strategies used in these blue zones anywhere.
Whether we take action and go for all it is we want in our lives or sit back with the hope of not failing or getting hurt, it's all a risk.
We often refer to "baggage" as in, people come with baggage, as a negative thing although it's this baggage that makes us the strong, awesome human beings we are today.
It isn't time, money, or resources that keeps us from pursuing all of our goals, dreams, and aspirations.. it's this one four letter word that does.
When we increase our confidence by leaning into fear, we open the door to new experiences that provide us with even more health, happiness, and fulfillment.

The quickest way for us to create lasting health, happiness, and fulfillment in our lives is to be who we are not just sometimes, but all the time across the board.
Getting pissed off for greatness is us saying no to that little voice telling us we can't do it, to the limiting beliefs holding us back and saying yes to our gifts and talents, to the discipline, focus, and relentless will necessary to achieve all it is we dream of and envision for ourselves.
When it comes to staying motivated to do the things we must do in order to have the things we've decided we must have, it starts with the understanding that motivation isn't a feeling, it's a choice.
There's always more than one way to achieve all of our goals, dreams, and aspirations, although it's the way we chose to fully commit to that'll get us there.

What a ride it's been so far creating 500 daily episodes of my Mornings With Mike podcast, including these top 5 lessons I've learned along the way as well.
Becoming better versions of ourselves or better than we were yesterday sounds great in theory, but how do we actually go about doing it?
As human beings, we crave certainty.. in our careers, relationships, our health, etc., although it isn't certainty, but change that'll give us what we want.
We often think of what our legacy will be long after we're gone however, it's possible for us to create a personal living legacy while we're still here to see and appreciate before we're gone.
Today's show is a testament that sometimes if you ask for what you want and desire, you may just get it! Happy Mother's Day!
If we want different results, we must change our daily patterns because if we continue doing what we've always done, we'll continue to get what we've always gotten.
In order for us to create and have what we've never had, we must first be able to see what we've never seen.
When it comes to fulfillment, it often isn't the big things we have or are after that fulfill us but instead, it's the smaller things that are free and available to us daily.
There isn't a right or wrong time to be successful.. we all achieve success at different times in our lives and that more often than not, is in our best interests.
Today is all we have to shape and mold the life we want for ourselves since yesterday is over and tomorrow doesn't exist.
Perhaps it's time we stop trying to put a dent in the universe and start focusing instead on making a difference, an impact in our day to day lives.
The challenge with starting over in any area of our lives is it often requires us to forget everything we've learned and done up until that point.
Our true north is our own unique internal compass that guides us towards more health, happiness, and fulfillment but only if we're brave enough to listen to it and follow.
The road to failure is a slippery slope when we blow off commitments and think there aren't repercussion in doing so... everything affects everything.
Hustle in accordance with how you've defined success to look like for you and not what everyone else says it should look like.
It's never just one change that makes the biggest impact in our lives when it comes to more health, happiness, and fulfillment but instead, constant change.
Change is never easy, however it's the only constant in life... it's what keeps us growing, learning, and getting better as we go.
While resources such as time, money, and support may be limited, our ability to think and dream of all it is we want is limitless.
While perspective is everything in our day to day lives, it's possible we lose or perhaps never gain perspective on the bigger picture.
Getting "there" is a never-ending journal on our way to achieving all of our goals, dreams, and aspirations... let's always strive to get to that next "there".
Despite the ups and down, our wins and falls, life's physical and mental thrash we all experience from time to time, our value and self-worth remains intact.
It's our minds, our thinking, that's often our own worst enemy and the only thing that stands between us achieving all of our goals, dreams, and aspirations.
Next time we find ourselves at a crossroads in life, it's worth asking the question.. "Is it a new chapter I'm looking to write in the same book or an entirely new book altogether?"
Less becomes more when we reduce the complexity around taking action to achieve or goals and building the habits that keep us going.
Before we can influence others to help us or conditions to work in our favor, we must first be able to influence ourselves to do what must be done to achieve the results we're after.
Common sense isn't always so common however, focusing on these three things every day will assure you and I that we are acting with common sense.
Overthinking gets in the way of us doing what we must do to have the things we've decided we must have... here's two questions to help us do less thinking and more doing.
How do we decide (how do you decide) when to go or when to stay in a career, a job, a relationship, a living situation?
Sitting across from ourselves (metaphorically speaking)and asking ourselves questions can provide us with answers we may not have otherwise discovered.
It's the questions we ask ourselves and the adjustments we make when we take the time to slow down that then allows us to speed up.
It's easy to make excuses when things don't go our way but the key to success is to make adjustments along the way, not excuses.
"They" say play by the rules, "they" say don't color outside the lines, "they" seem to want to dictate our every move... exactly who is "they"?
We have a better chance of achieving the goals, dreams, and aspirations we think of when we think of winning the lottery without actually winning the lottery but instead, focusing on these three steps.
We've all been given this exact same gift and it's this gift alone that's responsible for all the health, happiness, and fulfillment we create in our lives.
We may not want to hear this reminder, but it's this reminder we must hear if we're to take action towards the goals, dreams, and aspirations we have for ourselves.
In order to create our next big adventure, it's a must we stop looking backwards at all we've done and been through and look ahead towards all we will do and experience.
Achieving success comes down to us going the distance, committing to doing what we know we must do overtime without the expectation of immediate results.
When we define and forecast the future we want for ourselves, deciding on what the right choices are to make along the way becomes clearer.
We may "hear" what others are telling us (including ourselves), that doesn't mean we're always "listening"... there's a major difference.
Let's hold our heads high knowing we are never less than despite what we've been through or are going through.
What gets me excited, fired up, and motivated is most likely different than what gets you feeling that way, and that is perfectly fine.
We may achieve the smaller safe goals that we set for ourselves but it isn't those goals we want, it's the bigger audacious stretch goals we're after... let's set and chase those.
It's never the actual goal (fool's gold) that we're after when we set out to achieve it but more so, how we believe we'll feel after achieving it.
Regardless of what those around us are doing, let's commit to focus on what we are doing and must do to achieve all of goals, dreams, and aspirations.
To go from where we are to where we want to be, it's a must we listen to and follow through not only on what we want to hear, but what we must hear to make it happen.
When it comes to success and achieving our goals, it isn't passion that keeps us going (passion doesn't last), it's knowing our whys that does.
Regardless of what we've done, haven't done, do, or have yet to do, none of it makes us a loser (or winner for that matter) without our consent.
We've all been granted unique strengths and talents.. question is, what are we doing with these unique strengths and talents we possess?
Because happiness starts from the inside out, it is a must that we forgive ourselves for times we have been less than our best selves.
When it comes to our goals, the going will always get tough, we will face challenges, and we will fall off track (expected), what matters is that we stay in the fight.
These two strategies that foster respect, rapport, and communication in our professional lives provides us the same benefits in our personal lives as well.
The path we're currently on may not be the one we want, but it's the one we must be on in order to get to where we dream of being.

5 ways that have helped me over the years to feel comfortable around others and visa versa leading to real meaningful connection and friendships.
Instead off living by a "what comes around goes around" philosophy, I suggest we live by our own higher standards, regardless of karma.
Not only is it possible, it's the norm to feel completely grateful and happy overall yet still have moments where we feel neither of these.
How we decide to react (what we do about it) when adversity and set backs continue coming our way is what ultimately determines if we succeed or not.
It's the tough roads, not the easy ones, we travel on, that create who we are and prepare us for the successes we seek.

I've received and heard lots of great advice over the years but none more impactful than this piece of advice (reminder) right here.
When we look for solutions and answers to help us achieve our goals, we'll find them.. however, if we decide instead to look for the problems and challenges, we'll find those as well.
We all have two lives we're living and depending on which of the two we focus on will determine the level of happiness and fulfillment we feel in our lives.
The things that fulfillment us the most and bring us the most happiness in life are often small things, such as these 5 things for me.
When's the last time we audited our mindsets in terms of what we think, why we think it, and where these thoughts (essentially our guiding principles) even came from?
What we sometimes refer to as "common sense", in other words, a no-brainer, doesn't always mean we're making it common practice.
The more we believe in our goals, dreams, and aspirations, the sooner we begin to see them appear, not the other way around.
If we help enough people get what they want, making a positive impact in their lives, we put ourselves in a position to have anything it is we want.
When it comes to success, any success, there's always a price to pay (we know this) however, it's focusing on the benefits, not price, that'll keep us going.

Despite our differences (personally, professionally, financially, spiritually), we're all the same and crave these same three things.
When life beats us up and things just aren't going our way is when we learn the most, setting ourselves up for success.
Scheduling our priorities isn't enough to assure we'll get them done although adding this one extra step to the process will.
Holding onto fear, anger, and resentment from past failures and let-downs keeps us walking backwards, missing out on all that's in front of us.
Confidence isn't a nice to have, it's a must have if we're to successfully achieve our goals since success, all success, requires us believing in ourselves, our abilities, and efforts.

The messages we offer our children or in my case, my unborn child, are often the same guiding principles we know are right for us to follow and live by as well.

To achieve our goals requires that we get uncomfortable and welcome the associated discomfort along the way that helps us grow and ultimately succeed.

Whatever age we are or new milestone coming up, let's welcome it with open arms knowing we're getting better as we go and the fact we're still here.
We're often told to work hard at what it is we want and not told enough to work hard on ourselves, which is where 80% of success happens.

Some recent doubts I had about my own personal success had me asking "Why me?" which I immediately caught, stopped, and changed to "Why not me?"
Life not only begins outside of our comfort zone, it's also where we grow and make the most progress towards the goals and dreams we want most.
When it comes to success and creating more health, happiness, and fulfillment in our lives, it's the small stuff that matters most, that we must sweat.
Habits (what you and I do regularly) are responsible for our outcomes and when it comes to success, focusing on these two habits is a must.
What exactly is the "real world" and more importantly, who decides what it looks like? We either define it or it will be defined for us.
