We did it. We made it a whole month together! I'm simply in awe at what God has done.
Today, we will put a bow on the last 30 days of digging deep into our new best friend Peter and what his journey means to us.
With two days left in our study, we are going to spend the rest of our time together exploring the fingerprint Jesus left on Peter.
We've watched Peter go through an amazing evolution, all because of our Savior's change in his identity. When Jesus gets ahold of our lives, evolution into someone amazing is inevitable.
Whelp! This is the last "Spill The Tea" for this round. I'm so grateful for all that you have shared with me on this journey.
We've spent 3.5 weeks laying the foundation for who Peter became after Christ changed his identity. Now how does that apply to you?
We've begun our descent on our study of the life in what I think is the dopest disciple, our dude Peter.
I'm still excited to see how God lands this plane we've been on. So today, we are gonna revisit some Peter moments and extract more nuggets that are applicable to our lives.
Today was a bit of a challenge as my heart was heavy because of everything that is going on this week that began with the shooting of #JacobBlake in the back.
However, after being told "Go to sleep," by God twice, I took two naps today and He spoke to me in my dreams and what I am supposed to share became clear.
We've begun to turn the corner in our observation of Peter's journey of being "the rock" as Jesus renamed him.
When God gives you an assignment, it won't be a journey with no wrinkles. Nah, instead the journey towards completion requires you to PRESS through storms, challenges, closed doors, hurdles, setbacks, detours, delays, and a whole lot more.
Whew yall...I won't lie. I struggled today trying to get clear on what God wanted me to say. Let's hope I get it by the time I teach.
In today's lesson, the trouble started with abandonment and isolation and went downhill from there.
We often hear the phrase, "I'm just out here puttin' it in to get my money up." Whelp...that's admirable and I can understand but so much can also be accomplished when you getcho rest up.
Today, I'm excited because I have a woman I greatly admire joining me to delve deeper into upping our rest game. The one and only, in-demand Dr. Saundra Dalton Smith who has a unique take has carved out time in her schedule on this Sabbath to chat about rest.
Some of us are so woke, that we need to take a nap!

When God created the world, He deposited a process in everything. Try to think of one thing in our world, God-made or man-made, that does not have some sort of process buried within.
So, it's safe to assume that your promise, indeed, has a process! Whether or not you are willing to surrender to it, you STILL will have to walk THROUGH the process. Therefore, I want to show you seven of the phases you will endure.
At the top of July, God spoke and said to me, "Your destiny is at stake. Time to arm up and do battle."
I was thrown for a complete loop because I have NEVER been in a spiritual battle and didn't have the first clue. But God is faithful and sent folks who took my hand and guided me.
Yall, what I've walked through in the last six weeks has been nothing like I've ever experienced in my entire life. But what I've learned is that prayer truly is a powerful weapon that changes the game. And I'm grateful for my battle now.
Plus tonight, I've invited a special guest who will dive deeper into the topic of prayer...my girl Julia Winston sooooo,...yeah...this is gonna be gooooood.
Okay yall...I'm not even gonna lie. I'm a bit leery about this one cuz for the last 19 days, this is the fastest God has ever let me out of the closet this early from studying. It's 930am and I already know what He wants me to talk about!
I'm usually not done studying until around 5p, so I actually have some daytime and I'm at a loss for what to do with myself! 😳
The journey to the promise is rarely, if ever, a straight line so let's chat about how to survive the trek!
Inspired by Tasha Cobbs Leonard's song "You Know My Name," which I can never listen to without worshipping, today we will spend some time diving into what God really says about us. Let's explore how it impacts how we navigate this next season as God awakens the "Peter" in all of us.
After recording a friend for a video on the topic of "Purpose" yesterday, I guess it stuck with me. 🤷🏾♀️
Because when I went into my closet today to study for tonight, that word "purpose" kept coming up for me, and then God went in!
This is a season where God is moving mightily in His kids' lives, never to be the sam again. So I look forward to sharing what He showed me about what we can learn from Peter about pivoting into our purpose!
That was the question God asked of me this morning and immediately took me back to everything I've taught about our new BFF Peter since the beginning.
I knew my answer.
Now, in this moment, God is asking YOU..."Will you be willing?"

Mannnnnn, I can't believe the dozens of lessons God is showing us through Disciple Peter. It truly does make me giggle every day when He shows me a new nugget.
Mannnnnn...there must be some water walkers rising up cuz God won't let this go and wants to make sure you get the message.
For the third day in a row, we are gonna dig into our new best friend's Peter's water-walking feat and I'm gonna dish up the 4 Reasons Water Walkers Don't S.I.N.K. For Long
When I learned that we would be back in the water walking, I simply asked "Okay God...you keep bringing me back here. What's the point?"
I think He gave it to me so we will see!
This morning's study time was bananas!
God took me back to our new best friend Peter's water-walking feat and showed me the parts He withheld from me on our first time around. So how 'bout we do it again, shall we?
Oh... and guess who's joining us? The star of #MamaChronicles starring Wanda Mercer...Yuppp Ms. Thang Thang is assisting me tonight. Lawd help us all! 🤪
Continuing our journey with our new best friend Peter. In my study time, I bust out laughing again at yet another Peter-anigan God showed me. Peter keeps me cracking up; but, he keeps showing us incredible lessons at the same time.

Yesterday completed our 7th day and I just want to spend some time with you catching up and answering questions.

By now, you already know...we are still with our new best friend, Peter. And we are learning a lot from him...not to mention awakening the "Peter" in all of us. Tonight is no exception!
No surprise. We're still sticking with more Peter-anigans. He's coming through with more nuggets for us. I love that this is causing me to learn so much more about the disciple I feel I'm most like.
Sooooo God ain't done with Peter and us cuz more Peter-anigans are on deck today. This was an emotional one to prepare for because it hit so close to home.
I've literally been studying all day for it because God wouldn't let up. Every time I thought I was done, He was like, "Nope...Dig Deeper!" 🤓
And heads up...tomorrow Day 5 is more Peter-anigans too - I already know. I don't understand fully why He has us dissecting Peter but at some point, I'm sure He'll tell us.
Whelp! We are gonna stay on task as we dig deeper into more Peter-anigans. Goodness, I loooooooves me some Peter. That's my dude!
And if tonight goes as the first two nights, I imagine you will need your steel-toe boots again cuz based on what I studied today...God has not taken his foot off the gas.

Oooooweeeee, I'm so freaking excited about what I have to share tonight. I keep looking at the clock going, "How much longer do I have to sit on this?"
Yesterday's word seemed to resonate and step on a lot of toes. Whelp! I've been studying for a few hours today so I suggest you rock some steel-toe boots for what God wants me to say tonight cuz I don't imagine it's gonna land any lighter than last night.

Yesterday, I was going to record an episode about my depression several years ago. But for some reason, I just didn't feel like recording it.
As soon as I walked in the house from the walk, the news of Kate Spade's suicide broke.
I didn't know Kate, I didn't own anything of hers, so I wasn't a fan.
But I couldn't explain the sadness that overtook me.
So I spent the day processing it and I knew I had to actually share about the season I could have easily checked out. I wanted to share because to see me today, you would never believe that there was a point in my life that I actually didn't want to wake up.
