Stories that highlight the resilience of women from all walks of life. From moms to professionals, innovators to peacemakers, we showcase a new powerful story every episode.
Well, here it is. The final episode of both our binge listening event and our special series with the authors of Women in Business: Leading the Way. This has been such a fun and fulfilling project for me and I have loved every episode and conversation.
Today’s guest is Amy Reisinger. I think I could talk to Amy all day long. She’s a powerful force to be reckoned with and her dedication to her company, her industry and her beliefs is unparalleled.
Amy is the owner of Steelfusion - a Clinical Toxicology Lab. When I talked with Amy, I had no idea how the toxicology industry works but Amy has a fantastic way of explaining things and by the end of the conversation, I was completely fascinated. You can learn more about her at steelfusionlabs.com.
Today’s guest is Marci Klein. Have you ever had someone look at you and say, “Yeah, that thing that you’re so excited and dedicated to doing? It’s never going to happen. You’ll never be able to do it.” That’s what happened to Marci and to hear her story and how her career path brought her to where she is today is phenomenal.
Marci is the owner of Klein Creative Media and you can learn more about her on her website KleinCreativeMedia.com or on Instagram. Her handle there is @kleincreativemedia1.
Today’s guest is Suzanne O’Brien. This amazing entrepreneur started her business when she was pregnant… which completely blew my mind. In our chat today, she shares what it was like doing several life changing things at the same time and how to kept her sanity through it all.
Suzanne runs a hiring services consulting firm and I love her way of looking at life through the lens of balance and harmony. You can learn more about Suzanne by checking out her website at BlakeRianConsulting.com and I can’t wait for you to hear her story. So, that’s enough from me. Let’s get into today’s conversation with Suzanne
Today’s guest is Leticia Latino van-Splunteren. Leticia is the CEO of the family business and she opens up in our conversation about what it was like to step into a legacy that already exists, being the daughter of the owner and dealing with the misperceptions that come with it.
Leticia is a total sweetheart and I know that my life is better just because I know her. Listen to her story and hear what she’s up to and afterward you can learn more about her by checking out her Twitter account @letilatino or on her website neptunousa.com.
Today, we are continuing in our special series of interviews with several of the authors of a new book called Women in Business: Leading the Way. You can order this book on Amazon and when you do, you’ll get to enjoy 15 different stories of women business owners. These women are powerful and courageous and, of course, resilient.
Today’s guest is Hana Laurenzo. Hana left me feeling ridiculously inspired and I have no doubt that her story will do the same for you. Listen in as she and I chat about language and cultural adjustments, life changing decisions and determination.
I have most certainly added Hana to my list of role models and her story is incredible. You can find Hana online at TLCTranslation.com. That’s enough from me, let’s get into it because I can’t wait for you to listen to my conversation with Hana Laurenzo.
Today, we are continuing our special series of conversations with several of the authors of Women in Business: Leading the Way, a new book that is packed full of 15 different stories from entrepreneurial women. You can get that book on Amazon now and I highly recommend it.
Today’s guest is Bonnie Shevin-Sandy and I was really excited to talk to her since her background is so fascinating. Bonni is an inventor and business owner and a very successful one at that.
Bonni is no stranger to challenges in her life and shares her story in today’s amazing conversation. You can find Bonni Instagram at @ShevinSandy and you can learn more about her business at www.diversitypromos.com.
Today’s guest is Julie Parmar. How often have you gone to the store or looked for something online and you couldn’t find just the right thing? Julie had that experience. She wanted to find a gummy vitamin that was vegetarian friendly for her daughters to eat but she couldn’t find them. So, she did what so many resilient women do - she made her own.
Listen in as Julie and I talk about starting her business, dealing with the complexities of creating and launching a brand new product and taking care of her family at the same time.
You can learn more about Julie’s product on Instagram at @VegNaturals and on Facebook at Vegetarian Naturals. That’s enough from me right now, let’s get into my conversation with Julie Parmar.
Today, we are continuing with our special series of conversations with several of the authors of Women In Business: Leading the Way, a book that features 15 stories of incredible women business owners. Talking to these women was nothing but a pleasure and I loved every conversation I had with them.
Today’s guest is April Davis. Not only is she one of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of chatting with, she has a fascinating career in an industry that as a society, we don’t typically associate with women. April has been in the construction business for a long time and to say that she is making a name for herself is an understatement.
I adored my time that I got to spend with April and it’s very possible that you’ll want to be her best friend by the end of the interview, too. That’s enough from me, let’s get into today’s conversation with April Davis.
As you all know, I love telling stories about strong, brave, resilient women. So, when I was asked to sit down with several female authors of a new book called Women in Business: Leading the Way, I knew that this was a project that I would love doing and sharing.
The book itself was released in April and it has 15 different stories of women who own their own businesses. As an entrepreneur myself, I love to hear stories about how other women business owners are managing their day to day, finding inspiration and chasing their dreams, so this book was a perfect fit for me. And, for the next several episodes, you will hear from many of the authors and their personal stories of resilience and empowerment.
Today’s guest is Joan Brothers. I had the distinct pleasure of speaking with Joan and talking about her journey as a real estate business owner in New York City. In a competitive and ever changing industry like hers, she has had to show, time and again, what resilience looks like.
Joan is the owner of Manhattan Boutique Real Estate and her viewpoints on success and balance (or what I like to refer to as Harmony) will be a breath of fresh air.
Today, we have the final episode of season 1. And this episode is my conversation with Joy Roberts. This season was originally meant to have eight episodes, but just like all things in the world right now, our plans have changed with the current COVID crisis. So, today’s episode is the final one of our first season.
But don’t worry! On Monday, we will be kicking off a special series of interviews. I was able to sit down with several of the authors of a new book called “Women in Business: Leading the Way” which is now available on Amazon. I’m going to tell you more about that book and this special series on Monday.
Today’s guest is Joy Roberts. Joy is appropriately named because you cannot help but smile and laugh and be happy when you talk to her. But her life has not always been kittens and rainbows.
Joy opened up and shared about her experience as a single mom, a professional who works in the mental health field and how she copes with having an autoimmune disease that, when activated, can be debilitating.
You can connect with Joy on Instagram at @LetsTalkJoy and I have a feeling that after you listen to our whole conversation, you’re going to want to hear more from her. So, that’s enough from me right now, let’s get into my conversation with Joy Roberts.
In today’s episode, I’m talking with Wendy Crabbe. Wendy had a life that was good. She had a good job and a good marriage. But she wanted something a little more and she decided, like many women today, to try and lose a little bit of weight. What started as a seemingly simple task has revolutionized how she looks at food, her health and her purpose.
I fully believe that most women on this planet struggle when it comes to their relationship with food. I got to hear some fascinating ideas and theories around this in my interview with Wendy and she’ll also tell you about her own personal journey and where it’s brought her when she decided to fix that relationship.
You can connect with Wendy on Instagram at @weightlosswithwendyc. So, that’s enough for me right now… sit back and relax and enjoy my conversation with Wendy Crabbe.

Mara and I met in a Facebook group we both belong to and she told me about 10 seconds of her story before I knew she had to be on the show.
Mara is a young woman navigating the typical trials of life. But her energy and approach to solving problems is nothing short of incredible. Listen in as she and I chat about her various fitness activities, including her most recent venture into pole dancing. Then, try not to let your jaw hit the floor when she talks about biking across the country with her dad. Yes, you heard that correctly, she biked across the country. You can find Mara on Instagram at @myopenpassport and the stuff that she posts over there is absolutely incredible.
Mara has a great message and approach to life and I bet you’ll enjoy our conversation as much as I did.
In Episode 2 of Season 1, Angela talks to Dana Snell, a woman who has faced her challenges and fears head on and lived to the tell the tale. Her story is one of addiction, self-realization and, of course, resilience. Listen to their conversation about recognizing when you need help, giving back and how gratitude can change your everyday life.
The first episode of A Lighter Soul: The Podcast is here! Stories of resilient women abound and we kick off season one with a conversation with Jennifer Anderson, an attorney, wife and mother, who is using her new sense of self-awareness to make a better life for herself and her family.
