Rathvilly's Eric Molloy was sidelined with an ACL injury from the early part of the year, while Cathal Bailey suffered a serious leg break in Grange's game with St Patrick's in the IFC group stages.
The two lads give us an insight into the injuries, the recovery involved and take us through all the finals this weekend from Junior C to Senior.

With MLR & St Mullins set to do battle yet again in a Carlow Senior Hurling Final, we decided to catch up with two gents who have crossed paths and indeed shared pitches and dressing rooms on many great occasions down through the years.
Hugh Paddy O'Byrne came on the scene when MLR made the breakthrough against St Mullins in 2006 and helped himself to 7 SHC medals thereafter before moving to Clare in recent years.
Kevin Kehoe has only just stepped away from the St Mullins panel this year and has enjoyed rich success in county finals against MLR also.
We get fresh perspectives and refreshing conversations with the two lads who have had to stop playing the game for albeit different, but challenging reasons nonetheless.
An enjoyable show to produce and hopefully one you'll enjoy listening to.

Over the past couple of weeks we sat down with Conor 'Horse' Lawlor at the Talbot Hotel in Carlow.
Conor gave great service to Carlow at Senior level be it with the Hurlers or Footballers and at one point both.
He was the scorer of one of the most famous goals in Carlow GAA history with they saw off Kildare in the Leinster SFC in 2018.
He also played a key role in Carlow's Joe McDonagh Cup Final win over Offaly in 2023.
Now a Dad to Sam and Husband to Grace, Conor sits down for this fantastic conversation with nothing off limits.
He's his own man on the pitch and off it and what you see is what you get.
This is Conor Lawlor - a constant in a Carlow Senior Jersey since 2011.

We ask Jack about what led him to make the decision to step away from county hurling.

In our season finale of 'My Time In The Geansaí' we hear from a man who initially looked like he was going to be a noted Carlow Hurler for the long haul. He switched to Football while still under 21 and went on to play for Leinster. He won a Senior Hurling Championship with Ballinkillen in 2001 and played in another final with them in 2004. The same year he was also a key figure for Fenagh as they contested the Senior Football Final against Rathvilly. After playing with Carlow for many years he made the switch to play with Wicklow under Mick O'Dwyer. And for the first time ever we find out the reasons for making that switch. Thomas Walsh is our final guest of the series in association with Corcoran Precast Tanks.★ Support this podcast ★

Welcome along to what is the penultimate episode of our first ever series. Today I'm going to be chatting with a man who had an incredible knack for scoring goals. He featured on some of the top sides that have played the game at school level in Presentation De La Salle College. He played in an All Ireland club Final in Croke Park. He also has two Christy Ring Cup medals. His journey wasn't without adversity and we talk about the underage days when county hurling seemed like a dream rather than destiny. And we find out how it eventually became a reality. Today's guest is Craig 'Styler' Doyle of Bagenalstown Gaels. The episode is brought to you in association with Corcoran Precast Tanks.★ Support this podcast ★

Today it's the turn of the Eire Og club and we speak to one of Carlow's great forwards Simon Rea. We chat about his time as Carlow's ace forward, transforming his game into a modern day wing forward in 2017 and 2018, missing the 2019 run to the Leinster Final and stories of a personal nature which Simon bravely shares for the first time. The episode is in association with Corcoran Precast Tanks.★ Support this podcast ★
We had a fascinating discussion with Kieran Donaghy this week. His outlook on the GAA is very refreshing and in this piece he also makes very interesting points about how players and managers should embrace the media rather than fear it.★ Support this podcast ★
Today we're off to St Mullins in association with O'Dwyer PVC Glazing Ltd, known as the man who does the windows for all your replacement windows, doors and broken double glazed units.
Our guest holds the distinction of scoring the first ever sideline cut worth two points in Hurling during the 00's
He's one of the rare few St Mullins people that played football with Carlow.
And he also famously got a lift back to Dublin after a county game with a bus full of pensioners on a day out.
All those stories and more are coming your direction with today's guest Mr Pat Coady.★ Support this podcast ★
