The call to welcome a new season felt like divine timing as a birth my second child, the lessons and potent reminders of my voice sparked me to share my story here with you.

In this episode I lean into my threads of safety in my body and life, of trusting love within myself and for others to love me. I speak into my fears around loss and the ways in which I have been asked to let go. To birth in full feminine form, fully held and surrendered.

I speak of my miscarriage, my home birth and the layers in-between as I navigated this powerful rite of passage.

The invite is here to lean into what is on your heart, to bring those stories forth into the physical. As we share we heal ourselves and others. Lean in.

Today we are speaking with Kemi Nekvapil, a powerful woman, author, coach and mother.

This connection was divinely aligned as Kemi was an inspiration for my own voice and taking actions on my dreams. Our time together in a coaching container inspired me to speak with her about her story and the threads of her life.

We speak of her journey through her five foster families from age two and the threads of worthiness, belonging and owning her story of being a woman of colour.
Kemi shares the moments of her voice not being heard and where she stood in her power along the way.
Now as an accredited Coach and space holder for women to own their power, she shares her defining moments that changed the course of her life, and how this has shown up in her work today.

She's worked harder than most, humble, grounded and an inspiring woman of strength and grace. This is her story.

As we dive into Kemi’s story and share each of our perspectives and experiences we invite you to lean into your own story.

Have you felt similar?
Do you resonate? and if so how?

As we share our stories we give permission for ourselves to rise above the narratives and honour our unique journeys. Plus we give permission for others to deepen too, we can raise the frequencies of each other by storytelling, sharing and connecting.

If you've resonated with this episode or any of Season 1 we would love to hear from you by leaving a comment, subscribing or sharing with another woman who may need to hear these stories.

Today we are speaking with Denara Amat, the founder of Seda Collective, an ethical fashion brand connecting the stories of artisans across the globe.
We talk of the beginning of Seda and how meeting the artisans she works with has deepened her story, and empowered her to share her own voice.

'I don't empower these artisans, they empower me'

Denara shares her story of migrating to Australia 15 years ago and speaks of how she has adapted, put on a brave face, founded her ethical business, stepped away from limitations and begun shedding light on her truth.

As an Uzbec/Uyghur Woman from East Turkestan, Denara speaks about her reality of being a woman from a culture that has been and IS ( right now) experiencing genocide. For over 15O years her country and culture has been subjected to ethnical cleansing and she speaks of finding out about the truth of her origin and her experiences growing up in China.

We talk about how The Black Lives Matter Movement created a wave across the globe and how it also gave Denara a sense of power to expand and be seen.

She is here to be a voice and give opportunity to people whose stories are being lost. Her brand is an echo of her passion, hard-work, strength and the merging of traditions in the modern world.

Amongst her expansion of self-identity in 2020, her brand Seda partnered with Australian iconic brand Gorman with a capsule collection. Denara is continuing ethical collaborations with more artisans, brands and people who want to create a better world and a better life. Already supporting over 30 indigenous families in Columbia Denara is only getting started.

As we dive into Denara's story and share each of our perspectives and experiences we invite you to lean into your own story.

Today we are talking to Rochelle, Mother, Grandmother, ex-Personal trainer and the Founder of ‘Share the Dignity’, a charity that works to provide at-risk women across the nation with sanitary products.

Rochelle and I dive into her past and how netball taught her about mate-ship and the strength of women bonding over a common goal. As a player and coach many of her lessons learnt in this sport is how she has built a strong network and foundation across the Nation.

Her upbringing in domestic violence taught her to get back up time and time again, and she attributes her strength to the family life she experienced.

On the topic of Period poverty Rochelle shares the time when she first read of the 48,000 homeless women in a Mamamia article in 2015. She was shocked to find that women were without basic needs and using socks and newspapers during their menstrual cycles.

She began her quest for giving the dignity back to women as a Personal Trainer, asking her clients to bring pads and tampons for every wine they drank that month, giving those items to local shelters which then lead to her founding 'Share the Dignity'.

Rochelle’s passion oozes through the stories we discuss, the triumphs and tribulations she has witnessed of other women, youth and families.

'The need is so great' she says, and we are the solution.

As we dive into Rochelle’s story and share each of our perspectives and experiences we invite you to lean into your own story.

Jo shares that she is innately a positive and bubbly person but through her journey she has softened into believing 'It's ok not to be ok' and through her journey she has empowered herself to give grief a voice for all.

We discuss her thoughts on seeing grief as non-linear, not having to 'fix' grief, witnessing emotions and traumatic healing as well as realising her strength and vulnerability. Jo talks about the power in both and how after Craig passed she began to learn to back herself.

Jo shares the journey of single/solo parenthood navigating the grief process as a Mother-Daughter duo and the birth of her 'Grief' Journal which was released during the 2020 Global Grief state.

Today we speak with Loren Honey, Wild Woman Activator and Coach, breath work facilitator and author of Sacred Seasons. This Aquarian souled goddess opens up about the threads of her life cycles and the cycles of women.

Loren shares her journey of deepening her feminine, her Māori lineage and delving into her Ngai Te Rangi ancestry to then weave these learnings into her souls work.

She shares her upbringing growing up off grid in nature and the transition to city life in Auckland.
Lorens passion extends potently into the archetypes of the wild woman and we discuss areas of a woman's life not always spoken about such as anger and coping and healing methods and rituals around how we can honour this natural part of life.

We have an open and honest conversation about her marriage ending at 28 which she feels was a large turning point for her and the unravel and exploration of self.

This is a story of a woman who journeyed into her spiritual opening at a young age; a coming back into her feminine.

Being able to see other energies when she was younger Danielle has reconnected back into her intuition and vulnerability with the guidance of her loving mother and spiritual teachers.
Danielle has slowly stepped into her softening and purpose by experiencing a strong connection to the masculine in the form of obstacles in her life with others, as well as the internal harshness of her natural strength.

Her opening is creating a magical alignment within her hairdressing business and a level of consciousness that holds space for others through life-coaching.

'I was blocking myself so I could be normal but I had to trust my softness to venture into who my soul was calling me to be'

Isn’t it interesting that just when we think we have worked through ‘that thing’ it comes in again swinging.

If it said anything it would say

“Are you sure you’ve rid of me”?

Think again.

I’m ok with the shadows, I do see how profound they make life. We wouldn’t feel light, love and joy if we didn’t feel darkness and sit with the darkest parts of ourselves.

Every step into the light we choose to take, the dark will show up too. It will create some greys and it will break open our colourful chest of crayons, test those heart strings and bend our minds.

When calling in another mentor/coach who could push me to the edge, rattle my cage, hear the things I wasn’t saying and hand back the power to me to change, I was sure no one could handle me. ‘I’m too much’ says old me.

Today my mind and heart have been broken open and light is cracking through. With hope and vision, with nervousness and excitement, with fears pooling into my eyes.

She asks ‘are you worried that no one will show up for who you are’ A hard YES hit me like a tonne of bricks. In business, love, friendships, in every way there was still a belief that I wasn’t FULLY worthy of being ‘stood’ with.

Woah. My heart hurt, blood racing & a massive realisation that this worthiness is a lifetimes work.

One step at a time.

Truth.
What is it?
Why are we searching for it?
Does it change?
Does it just feel better when its concrete?

Trust.
Based on what?
How do we feel into trust?
How can we deepen our foundations right now?

Have you ever pondered about your truth or the worlds truth?

I have many times and it seems to be rising to the surface of my consciousness more during this pandemic.

Here's some of my thought and feelings, would love to hear yours.

A lesson I have learnt over and over again has revolved around setting healthy boundaries. I used to see boundaries as limitations and with an empathetic personality and an open heart I had fallen ( many times) into the narratives of others without asking myself 'What do I want'?

In this episode I share the journey towards understanding my patterns of behaviour, the mirroring effects of my relationships and how I have learnt to create my own healthy boundaries.

During turbulence and change we have been given a powerful gift; time to reflect.

A strong thread for Chloe has been the awakening of her feminine.
'If I'm going to hold space for others to be vulnerable and create a container for others wellbeing I needed to see and explore those shifts within me'.

The masculine was running her life and the vision of holding space for women giving birth required her to soften into areas of worthiness. Chloe shares her experience she labels 'the incident' which has been one of the threads in letting go of the fear of being female.

'I was very triggered by sex or abuse scenes in movies or females who dressed seductively, any implications or behaviours that would be suggestive around the female triggered me'.

Chloe walks us through her softening and her visions for the future of supporting women in their journey from Maiden to Motherhood.

Helping women come home to their womb spaces has been a lifelong journey for Rhiannon. Having her first bleed at a young age and not feeling informed and empowered within her body she knew there had to be more to this experience.
17 years later she was woken from this discomfort within her Doula studies and realised that her whole life made sense. She was here to guide other women back to their wombs, to understand and feel what is truth for them and to show her daughter that there is nothing to hide and everything to speak about.

This fiery Femme is rising!

She now holds space for herself and reminds herself daily of what a 'badass' she is. A brave and courageous woman is sharing her story with you so you too may rise.

There was one image that stood out and I wished I was still there. Why though?
Was this the demon of judgement allowing patterns to repeat or the angel of opportunity  based on a positive past experience?

This is a raw and unstopped podcast that I talk myself through a debilitating question around body image. I am currently reading 'The Heroines Journey' by Maureen Murdock and it is opening up new growth around my feminine and masculine transitions.

With Motherhood guilt showing up more frequently lately I was moved to connect to the source of this pain. Upon reflections, listening to podcasts on womb healing and a powerful conversation with a local healer I had this overwhelming realisation of my abortion 6 years ago. I felt the threads of my guilt connect in this moment, shame and loss, fear and judgement and walking an un-sturdy line with a taboo subject looming over me.
With my nerves set aside, I welcome those open and ready to share this space with me however if this is a trigger point for you please honour your healing by choosing to take it slow.

With love, this is my truth.

The fractured parts of us are usually the most integral part for the next chapter of life, these parts are gifts and allowing those to be shared empower the voices of others.

After sharing her story with me a couple of weeks ago Lena and I spoke about the concept of truth and the power in sharing your story layer by layer. It's ok to come out of the other end of trauma and wonder " What the F#*% did I just say"? There are many more chances to shed those layers; those truths.

Let's go between the lines.

Having her first relationship at 12 years of age, Shaina, now in her 22nd Year, reflects on the experiences that have shaped her personal philosophies and built her self worth.
Her wisdom comes from being able to navigate and draw upon the lessons within her teenage reality.

Trigger warning for Parents (especially with teenagers) as this episode and Shaina's story  shines light on the reality of what life can feel like as a teen and traumas we cannot ever predict as parents.
This is an incredible opportunity to create conversations with your girls (and boys) around navigating emotions and instilling those valuable perspectives as they too journey through this time of life.

I have not shared this part of my story for 15 years.

As women around me are going deeper and allowing their layers to shed I decided it's time to let my skeleton out!

After an uncomfortable conversation about pornography and my threads of worthiness and self love it came to me, last night in bed, that the darkest part of my life at age 14 was ready to be healed through.
I'm vulnerable and sharing my heart and as I click this submit button I've got a knot in my stomach however I am wiling to rise.

May this help you to be brave, connect deeper and love your story.
