Pier and I linked up for a 24 mile run this summer - it only took several miles to realize that we would partner up on a coffee business that materialized a few month later. Pier's positivity carries over into his other passions for the outdoors but really shines when he shares his coffee with customers visiting the shop. If you're interested in linking up with Pier for some coffee roasting action, ping the shop and he'll make it happen.

Jake Inger is a backcountry skier but has made a name for himself in the biking world for endurance mountain bike racing (6hr events up to 100 miles). With races canceled this season he decided to challenge himself in another way, creating his own route that was much more interesting than the Everesting trend. In this offseason episode we recap the ride and Jake discusses everything that went well that day and the things he'll do better on next time.

Nik Stanciu is the co-founder of the Tuckerman Brewery, one of the oldest craft beer companies in New Hampshire. It took a few weeks to get Nik to sit down for this conversation, understandably so but it was great to hear his story and the work that goes into running the Brewery. If you haven't stopped in to their tasting room, it's well worth it to get a flight of beers and look around the tasting room which Nik has spent many hours building by hand. Nik and Tuckerman Brewery are huge supporters of the MWV community. Thanks Nik!

For this week's episode I sit down with Monte McIndoe to discuss his life in finance and how he ended up here in the White Mountains. I've spent the last few years getting to know him and his family and as you'll find out he shares the same love for the outdoors that we all do and that bond can't be broken. I've managed to get in some tours, hikes, and bike rides with Monte and in turn he's helped me navigate shop life and see the big picture. Monte is co-race directing Last Skier Standing so you'll see him in full action if you make it up for that event.

Willis and I toured a few times last winter and he is all about PVO - positive vibes only. Willis is a great person and has the skiing ability to match. He's taking on the Freeride Wold Tour this winter so I'm excited to follow his journey as he navigates competitions, travel, and hopefully many more tours on the east coast.

Tyler Ray, founder of Granite Backcountry Alliance (GBA) and longtime backcountry skier here in the White Mountains. The episode went long as expected but we got into things we learned getting into this sport, how GBA came to be, and a bunch more. I'll definitely have Tyler back on in the near future.
