Taliyah Brooks joins the show to talk multi success, NCAA Championships, Basketball, Family, Long Jump technique, injuries, #FearTheFro and more! Before Arkansas ever had an individual title in the pentathlon, Brooks was the runner up in the 2016 and 2017 NCAA Pentathlon. The multi eventer recently jumped 6.78m (22 feet 3 inches) in the Long Jump and as of April 6th, 2018, Brooks is ranked THIRD in the entire world with that jump. Brooks plans on competing in the Open LJ and Heptathlon at the NCAA Championships, but is ready to do whatever her coaches and team need her to do.

Jerome Avery tells us his journey from Olympic Trials competitor in the 100m & 200m Dash to becoming a Guide Runner and eventually guiding David Brown to Paralympic Records.

Avery has been a guide runner for Team USA at the 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016 Paralympic Games. Avery is tethered to blind sprinters by a shoelace and communicates to his race partner from the gun to the finish line. David Brown and Avery set the 100m Paralympic Record on their way to Gold with a time of 10.99s. David Brown is the only fully blind man in history to break 11 seconds in the 100m dash.
