Divorcing Trump: A Plea to End Christian Nationalism. Political fanaticism has been alive and well in the church for decades, but over these last 8 years it’s been at a fever pitch. In many ways, and for many people, it’s been elevated to point of idolatry, giving way to a false Messiah, one that rides a red elephant and sits on the throne of the White House. Trump “the man” isn’t the issue, it’s the spirit of a false political gospel that’s been swept in with this polarizing personality. NOW WAIT. Lest you think we are dogpiling on Trump, we aren’t, just the spirit of Trump, most of us align on the conservative side of things. We just want to see the Gospel be priority again. Jesus back on the throne of our minds and the king of hearts. This week we break down how to navigate this political discourse and keep Jesus at the center despite the constant turmoil. There is no easy answer, and we all don’t agree, but the conversation is rooted in love, something many are missing today. Whether you’re on the left or right, this episode is for you.

What Women Want: Scripture or Misogyny? Lol, k. First of all it’s not lost on us that we had a whole episode discussing women in leadership and didn’t have a woman on the panel. Small oversight…ANYWAY…This week we were joined by guest host Zachary Griffin as we tried to answer the age old question about women’s role in the church, specifically in regard to serving in leadership capacities, including pastoral roles. Pulpit or Kitchen? What does Jesus say? 😂

Oh, Hell!? Yeah, we finally talked about, but what do we really believe about this fiery inferno? Is it a biblical fact or an ancient fiction? This week we break down our personal beliefs, what the scripture says, why so many are abandoning the idea of Hell, and debate if it’s a core piece of a believers theology or not. Plus, we talk about Jonathans Disney hospitalization, JP accidentally creates a new word, and Garrett’s toes seem to have a mind of their own. Oh, last thing, have you seen Fred Armisens Parks and Rec episode? If not, please go watch his “Sister City” episode where he explains how jail works and what sends you there. It’s a recurrent gag this episode, so plan accordingly.

We breakdown different examples of each extreme & try to find the biblical answer at the center. If you thought the last few discussions were good, this one continues to build on that.

It's been a year since we last recorded, and to quote Bob the tomato, "Have we got a show for you." Garrett, Jonathan, and J.P are back in possibly the most unfocused episode to date. We start with Garrett and Jonathan giving their best unsolicited "Dad Tips" and lessons learned over this year as new dads. We cover some quick thoughts and reactions to the SCOTUS ruling on Roe v. Wade and how the reactions have been all over the spectrum. We hit on Celebrity Culture in the church and our reactions on the validity of it. Lastly, we cover Christians and how we should interact with the holidays.

Things get wild quick. Golden Showers. Benny Hinn and his anointed Suit Jackets. Jesus delivers gifts at Christmas. My Goodies. The "dad wheeze." Enjoy!

We delve into healing vs. medication, evolution, and so much more! Cody also takes time share his journey with salvation & how he maintains his faith in the world today. As a bonus we open the show giving our E3 predictions (we recorded this a few days prior to E3). Spoiler alert, we didn't fair so well.
