In the new testament readings for the Torah Portion Bo, Christopher discusses the concept of who Israel is and how it really doesn't align with the Hebrew Roots idea of who Israel is based upon passages from the Delitzsch Hebrew and the Khabouris Codex Aramaic. Christopher ties together previous parshiot with the chronological thought patterns in Ki Tavo in relation to the propclomation of G-d's name, the tithe and the 70 languages.
Part 1 of 2 of the 12th chapter of Rabbi Shalom Arush's book. The longest chapter in Rabbi Shalom Arush's The Garden of Peace: A Marital Guide for Men deals with turning your marriage and your home with your wife and children into Gan Eden. There are many points already covered in this series that Rabbi Arush gives a quick cliff notes version of in this chapter but also brings new light to more specific situations. Christopher was unable to complete the entire chapter so the second part of this chapter will be recorded in the next few days.
In this torah portion one of the main focuses is on that of marriage, one question that often comes up is in chapter 21 of Devarim it seems to endorse polygamy....but does it really? Christopher and others in the study go through the language, the sages, as well as the halakha of Rabbi Gershon and how Gershon's halakha aligns with that of the New Testament and modern Hasidis.

In this week's Torah Portion Christopher discusses Numbers 19:2 in terms of the chukas (chukar for the sefardi) and what classifies a law as chukas, as opposed to mishpatim and mitzvos. Christopher discusses what Rebbe Nachman says on the subject as well as Rashi, the Rambam, Mayim Chayim, and the Ohr HaChayim. He then discusses this in relation to the ideal of Yeshua "definitely" being the Red Heifer in Numbers 19:2, and discusses how many jump to the assumption that he is and yet however it is not diligent scholarship in relation to what classifies a law as chuk and how this takes issue with the book of Hebrews when it say that Yeshua is Kohen HaGadol and how the red heifer had to be "burnt to ashes".
In this teaching at the newly built (soon to be opened; come December 2018) Torah Center in Spartanburg SC, Christopher teaches on why Lapid Judaism has such great emphasis in the words of the Oral Torah and Chazel. Christopher explains something that many Hebrew Roots, Messianics and Christians do not realize, and that is the fact that if we did not have the Oral Torah then there is no Jewish precedent or Scriptural precedent of there ever being a Messiah or the Resurrection of the dead. The entire concept of the New Testament is reliant upon the Oral Torah and the words of the sages.
In marriage and relationships, for men, hitbodedut plays a crucial role in the need for tikkun. In this Christopher tells the story of a Jew who was a master of hitbodedut and yet thought he married the wrong woman.
Christopher discusses Numbers 16:1 and asks, "who is this kat Korach an why does the Torah give us his genealogy?" And what was his problem with Moses and Aaron? Christopher discusses how we have tons of Korach type individuals in the body of Messiah in all represented faiths. Christopher discusses what Rebbe Scheerson, Rebbe Nachman, the Zohar and the Talmud say about Korach and his attributes and then Christopher relays it to Romans 3:1-2 and Romans 13:1-7 so we do not become like Korach.

In the Torah Portion Sh'lach Lecha men are given the mitzvah of tzitzit. Many do not realize that the 8 stands within each tzitzit represents 8 organs in the human body in relation to negative and positive commandments. This may be the most indepth study on tzitzit you will find anywhere.
Recently, I have taken a lot of heat because I teach the Hebrew language through the eyes of Rabbinic Judaism. There is a reason why I do this at the Hebrew and Aramaic Learning Institute, in this episode I explain the importance of Rabbinics when learning the Holy Language of Hashem.
