Meet Andrea Mc Clew, our reigning Pageant Winner of the 2022 Mrs. Regency International and Mrs. Black Global, wants you to be inspired by her story. From her childhood as a Pastor’s daughter in Texas to her life as a military spouse residing at Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA. Andrea’s perseverance and pride has led her to a successful career with faith and family first. She is a mom of two with passion for beauty, brains and the development of her new brand and vlog “Love Her Lips” & “Friyays with Andrea”.
Andrea is able to balance her immense schedule while she raises her teenagers and supports her US Navy CPO for the past twenty plus years. During six duty station changes, various life experiences including challenge and triumph, Andrea has competed in the world of pageantry for over 17 years. Winning and becoming a runner up requires a strong attitude, thick skin and meekness. Answering the call of duty during her one year consecutive reigns in 2022 as Mrs. Regency International and Mrs. Black Global is quite demanding coupled with her acting career that involved filming two back-to-back movies directed by Carl Jackson on Apple TV, LAX (2021) and LAX 2 Paris premiering on May 12, 2023.
Andrea understands what it takes to support women of all three platforms in her life from military mom to pageant queen, and actress in a world where her husband may be deployed for months at a time with two children that are set to graduate over the next couple of years. It is key for Andrea McClew to share her pathway to success and happiness laced with self love and also bear the courage it takes to “share her story to propel herself to the next level”. She is a gem for giving us a perspective filled with empathy, enthusiasm, and a military backbone.
Andrea is honored to serve as a Board Member of the San Diego Armed Forces YMCA because her volunteerism and heart for the community of military families makes a difference. Everyone can benefit from the key programs at the historic venue and Andrea looks forward to creating a deeper support system to help service men, women and their dependents aspire toward their military career dreams, roles in the entertainment industry, and or on the red carpet as actors or competitors in global pageantry. Her recent role reversal occurred as she performed as a Judge at the first inaugural Mr. and Ms. Military Pageant founded by Mr. Calvin Hill, USN (Ret.) on 24 February 2023 in San Diego, CA at The Salvation Army KROC Theatre.

Our mentor, Amy Forsythe has achieved some of her most remarkable accomplishments over the past 30 years as she reflects upon her dedicated, dangerous, and delightful commitment to service as a renowned Female Combat Photographer. Amy Forsythe achieved her highest rank in the Marine Corps as a Staff Sergeant and once honorably discharged, began serving in our US Naval Reserve as a Public Affairs Officer in Communications.
Within her full spectrum of talents, Amy is an author, has a heart for her veteran and active duty military community, and has spoken her truths all over the world to help us realize the meaning and gift of life in a relatable way. With gratitude and a “blank slate” a.k.a. “Tabula Rasa” in Latin, each year, Amy commits to her plans on paper with her pen in hand.

Today is part of Women’s History Month 2022 and we begin by celebrating Sheryl Alexa Shaffer and her accomplishments as a veteran of the U.S. Women’s Army Corps. Sheryl proudly served to continue the legacy of her mother who served in WWII in the U.S. Women’s Army Corps Auxiliary. Sheryl was born aboard Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton in California and pays continued homage to her father and step father who were both decorated Marines. Sheryl has two siblings who were born on two additional military bases in the United States and she certainly understands, remembers, and is thankful for the cost of freedom and service before self.
Sheryl gives back and pays it forward as a Volunteer Community Producer of Public Access Television and Educational Government Programming because she believes that Veterans Helping Veterans saves lives. To Sheryl, Education is definitely key.

Sheryl is a proud member of the American Legion, Post 43 Hollywood and the Veterans in Film and Entertainment organizations that focus on legislation and careers in the industry where transitioning and talented comrades excel well.

April gave birth to a beautiful daughter named Kiera in 2002. Determined to get back in shape and back to work, April developed a strict diet and structured her workout schedule to reach her goals quickly. Every morning she attended Tae Bo classes, followed by walking, swimming or riding her horse, Freckles. She was completing stunts in four national network commercials, behind-the-scenes footage for the DVD to “The Scorpion King,” and appeared in four feature films: “Looney Tunes,” “Bruce Almighty,” “Biker Boyz,” and a western, “Gang of Roses.” And on top of all of that, this new mother also competed and won first place in the Pacific Coast Barrel Association’s 4D Division competition in barrel racing and she won a buckle!
April has been a source of inspiration for new mothers whose weight issues have caused them emotional distress. As a veteran stunt professional, April has mentored many women who want to enter this thrilling occupation. In fact, she is the subject of a new documentary, “Hollywood At Its Best,” which profiles a handful of successful stunt women in the entertainment industry. April is the President of The Joy Foundation (Mentoring Program) and in 2011, April received a Mentorship Award from the Diamond in the Raw Foundation. In March 2004, she was honored by the Black Arts Alliance with their inaugural Trailblazer Award for her outstanding work in the stunt industry. In January 2006, April was honored to receive the Crystal Award for her accomplishments as a professional stunt person and giving back to the community, by BLM Entertainment.

God Bless the Murray Family “Hiram A. Murray is an award-winning American actor born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He first started his acting career in 1999 on the CBS television show “Now and Again”. Hiram took a break from acting to pursue a formal education in screenwriting and film directing in college. While in college he worked for the NYPD. Shortly after 9/11, Hiram put his dreams and aspirations aside to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he quickly rose to the rank of Captain. After completing his active duty in 2008, Hiram came back to his first love “Acting”. Hiram has gone on to find success in Hollywood with such roles on Fox’s “Touch” starring opposite Kiefer Sutherland, “Lethal Weapon” starring opposite Damon Wayans, Paramount Pictures’ Scout’s Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse, a recurring role on ABC’s General Hospital, a leading role in Saban Films’ The Great War, and various other projects.”

Kevyn Major Howard, his beloved immediate family, skilled Angel Car Drivers and dedicated team of volunteers over the years have served effortlessly and traveled the nation with military, paramilitary agencies, and fellow charities to make sure there is no first responder, law enforcement officer, or military member left behind that has been injured or paid the ultimate sacrifice during the attacks on 9/11 onward. The five iconic 9/11 Angel Series, Custom Chevrolet Camaros, represent Freedom, Family, and Forgiveness for lives lost and their sacred remembrance by each name/site that is stenciled onto the Angel Cars where loss occurred on September 11, 2001.
The Angels Series Camaro drivers steer in unison along the parade routes with sheer patriotism each year as the streets are lined with Americans, Old Glory, and hearts filled with bittersweet sorrow and unconditional love. The Fueled By The Fallen mission is a Call to Action that is deeper than parades of the past as we are affected by the tragedy of 9/11 forever. May is mental health awareness month and we acknowledge the fact that history repeats itself causing damage and fresh recollection to us as we are left behind.
The effects are post-traumatic as we must recall, relive, and reconcile that fateful day. Kevyn’s testimony comes from a personal, professional, and philanthropic perspective and will give us reassurance, peace, and a glimpse of New Americanism as we speak about current war, racism, trauma, and the fight against suicides, depressions, anxieties, and sadness in today’s world Post 9/11 and Semi-Post Pandemic.
