Said team goes on to win 4-0 and then proceeded to sweep the season opening series. Said team was the Schaumburg Boomers.

Heading to Pennsylvania, the longest trip for the team in the league, for the second time in a month, the Boomers wrapped up a third Frontier League playoff slot and a second division title with an 8-4 win over the Washington Wild Things. Entering the game with a magic number of two, the Boomers rallied from down 1-0 and 4-3 to begin a celebration, becoming the first team in the league to clinch en route to a third Frontier League title.
James Keller and Jack Parenty both logged three hits as the bottom of the lineup finished 7-for-14, Brandon Quintero struck out seven in six innings to log the win.
