We are high school students from Frisco, Texas who seek to teach others about news surrounding current events as well as the fields of economics and finance. Frisco Economics was founded by Dominic Yankiv and Sanjay Menon.
In the final episode of Season 1 of Bull vs. Bear, we bring back special guests Kevin Li and Gil Blyakhman to determine how each presidential candidate could affect the market. Dominic and Gil will be bullish on President Trump and bearish on former Vice President Biden, while Sanjay and Kevin will be the opposite. As always, Pranav will mediate and help us by adding in background information and asking questions.
In this episode of Bull vs. Bear, we will analyze the economic implications of the Fed Reserve buying stocks. Dominic will hold a bullish perspective and argue that the move will spur growth, while Sanjay will be bearish and contend that the move could put our country further in a "stock market bubble." Pranav will once again be the mediator for this discussion.
Today on Bull vs. Bear, co-founders Sanjay and Dominic discuss President Trump's recent suspension of work visas and the implication of this event on unemployment and the general economy. Sanjay will be bullish and argue that the recent ban will stimulate the market and help Americans get back into the workforce, with the ban being dropped later. Dominic will be bearish, contending that the move will not benefit those who are already unemployed. Pranav will once again be the mediator for this discussion, adding context and asking questions.
In this episode of Bull vs. Bear, we will once again discuss the COVID-19 virus and its effect on the economy, but this time, we will analyze more recent trends with the help of our guests, Kevin Li and Gil Blyakhman. Dominic and Gil will hold a bullish perspective, arguing that the virus and a potential "2nd Wave" will not have a major impact. Sanjay and Kevin, on the other hand, will be bearish and argue that the virus - especially a 2nd Wave - could have devastating effects on the economic and social aspects of the U.S. Pranav will once again be the mediator for this discussion.
On today's episode of Bull vs. Bear, the Frisco Economics team revisits Episode 3, in which Dominic and Sanjay discussed whether or not Tesla's rise in early 2020 was a fluke. Through this episode, Sanjay makes the case that he was right in the first podcast, as Tesla has risen to unbelievable numbers since then. Dominic, however, argues otherwise. Pranav is once again the mediator of the discussion.
On Episode 7 of Bull vs. Bear, Sanjay, Dominic, and special guest Kevin will evaluate the surging software industry and determine its effect on the overall market. Sanjay and Kevin will be bullish, arguing that the recent rise of technology stocks is an indicator that we have exited the recession. Meanwhile, Dominic makes the case that we are stuck in a classic "bull trap." Pranav will mediate the discussion by asking questions and adding information.
Today on Bull vs. Bear, co-founders Dominic and Sanjay will evaluate the recent sharp drop in demand for oil that led to negative prices temporarily and its effect on the future economy. Dominic will be bullish, arguing that although oil went negative, it will not hurt the economy in the long run.
