This month, JC, Matt, and Nate interview Shane Pruitt. Shane serves as the National Next Gen Director for the North American Mission Board (NAMB). He and his wife, Kasi reside in Texas, with their five children. He has been in ministry for over 20 years as a church planter, lead pastor, and student pastor. Shane is also a traveling communicator, evangelist, and Bible teacher. Every year he speaks to over a hundred thousand people about the good news of Jesus Christ. He is the author of two books and a bible study, 9 Common Lies Christians Believe: And Why God’s Truth Is Infinitely Better, Calling Out the Called: Discipling Those Called to Ministry Leadership, and Revival Generation: Awakening to a Movement of God. He is also one of the hosts of The Gensend Podcast.

He went on to become the President of Bob Jones University where he served from 2014 - 2023. Steve also served as the director of Northland Camp and Conference Center from 2002 to 2011. In recognition of his contributions, Bob Jones University, Northland Baptist Bible College, and Ambassador Baptist College all awarded him an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree in 1997. Dr. Pettit is passionate about Discipleship. Presently, he utilizes his gifts as a compelling communicator and expositor of Scripture with a focus on leadership. He travels as an itinerant evangelist with a gospel bluegrass musical team. Steve and his wife, Terry, have four adult children and five grandchildren.

Robby Gallaty is the pastor of Long Hollow Church in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He and his wife, Kandi, started "Replicate", a ministry with the vision to empower churches to activate their unique disciple-making movement. He is passionate about Discipleship because of the powerful change it made in his life. Robby does not have a squeaky clean background, but his story is a powerful example of the change the gospel makes in the lives of those who believe and follow Jesus.

What is God's will for your life? How do you make decisions about specific situations. What if you miss it? Does that mean God puts you on the shelf and He is done with you? Louie Giglio has impacted all three of the RFP hosts lives and we are playing a sermon he shared a couple of decades ago. This was one of the first most sermons that Nathan heard coming out of the IFB movement and he has shared it with many other people who have asked him about God's will.
Men are called to lead and love their families. Unfortunately, many men are neglecting their duties to be the spiritual leaders of their homes. Men are called to walk in integrity and this will not happen without accountability and transparency. It has been said that Christians shoot their wounded and sometimes eat their own. Paul said in Galatians 5, "13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another."

He experience legalism in the IFB firsthand, but God has used him to bring healing across man made divides. He talks about the danger of bitterness and trusting God when people betray you.
Pastor Jim Cymbala invited the RFP Hosts to his office to talk about his recent ministry that has focused on encouraging pastors. He talks about his story, including mistakes he made along the way, and he encourages all Christians to lean into the power of prayer, the word of God, and the Spirit of God as we live for God's Glory. Reba grew up in the Independent Fundamental Baptist world and became the Dean of Women at Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN. After leaving the life of a university professor, Reba started speaking as a bible teacher and women’s conference teacher in 2003. Dare For More Ministries grew out of her speaking ministry. In 2012, Reba and the DFM team began to pray and rethink how Dare for More could build a bridge to connect the women who attended their events to the women and girls in crisis in communities around the world. Today, hundreds of women are making a difference as they go on missions trips and pour into the women and girls in need. Others are partnering with projects, purchasing products, and so much more.

Sproul preached a sermon on legalism in 2010 that spells out the different types of legalism faced in churches today. In Romans 14, Paul indicates that serious problems can arise in the church due to the differences between “weaker brothers” and “stronger brothers.” On the one hand, many churches have experienced the “tyranny of the weaker brother,” and fallen into an unbiblical legalism. On the other hand, many “stronger brothers” do not bear with the failings of the weak.
