Today's world would like you to believe that Christians were and are not meant to be involved in any issue they have deemed political. In fact, they would like you to believe Christ's followers should not have a voice in anything moral either. However, neither of these beliefs in founded on what Christ exampled. And, as followers of Him, we are called to stand against moral devolution in all spheres of influence in our society.
Our guests today aim to do just that.
Mark and Amber Archer are the creators of Fearless Features, a film company who boldly faces current issues in our culture and reveals the truth behind the facade.
In this episode's conversation, Mark and Amber share their journey of how they came to make films, how they choose the topics they tackle, and what God has shown them in the process.
Get ready to be encouraged to do what you can to help engage culture and take a strong stance against the lies trying to take the lives of our children.

Have you ever wondered what submitting to God actually looks like? In a world that seems to constantly be moving the "goal posts" of the standard of following Jesus, it's easy to lose sight of what Christ examples for us and directs us to do.
In this episode, you will hear a simple "call to action" for how to truly submit your life to Christ. In addition, we will reflect on the danger of allowing our culture to dictate Christ's call and standard. (i.e. allowing our faith to be judged by the standards of culture, rather than the standards of culture being judged by the truth of the Gospel).
Get ready to enjoy honesty, the truth of God's word, and encouragement.

If you've ever suffered - and I mean really BIG pain - you know the feeling of emotional waves crashing over your soul. Perhaps you've wished to just make it all end. Or cried out to God and wondered where He is.
Darci J. Steiner knows suffering. And she also knows God. But, where is God in the MIDDLE of the suffering?
Today we talk with Darci about suffering, God's unending love, God's goodness, and a generation of kids who need to know how to find God in the midst of suffering.
Once you're done, you'll want to read Darci's book (or perhaps plan a meeting with her!). Find her book and all information on her site: darcijsteiner.com
More about Darci:
Darci J. Steiner is an author, inspirational speaker, and nutritionist. She has served in full-time ministry and assisted with church plants in Denver and Los Angeles. In 2001, Darci nearly lost her life after a debilitating fall down the stairs in her home. During her recovery, she earned her Master of Science degree in Holistic Nutrition and implemented natural remedies into her diet that helped save her life. When Darci became disabled a second time after a foot injury in 2018, she wrote her award-winning debut book, Beauty Beyond the Thorns: Discovering Gifts in Suffering. Darci speaks about how God uses suffering in our lives to bring about spiritual healing. She and her husband enjoy two adult daughters, a son-in law, and a baby granddaughter. They live in the Denver area.

Do you ever treat yourself like you aren't WORTHY of the sacrifice it takes to be healthy? (Not super thin or "a super model"... just, healthy?) Most of us don't if we're honest. In fact, many of us treat our bodies like they are here to carry our head around, or lug kids to soccer, or make dinner.
But what if we realize we are meant to treat our body with love? Sacrificial, unconditional love? Well, that, my friends, would be a game changer. One full of grace and one that might just keep us motivated.
Our guest today, nutrition and health trainer, Amy Connell, has been teaching women to do just that. To treat your body as if it's actually worthy. (She even wrote a book to share her passion with us!) And, in today's episode, we talk about that very thing (and so much more!)
As Amy puts it, "Your eating, movement and body don't have to be perfect...you just need to be able to do what you're called to do". Treating your body rightly helps you complete your calling.
Simmer on that... then push play and hear what Amy shares about what she has learned in her journey of struggling to accept health - not performance, not the world's "ideal". True God-centered health.

Who doesn't want to end conflicts quickly and as painlessly as possible? Well, with the help of people like Jerry Fu, you can do just that.
Jerry Fu is a conflict resolution and leadership coach who is, quite frankly, a needed part of the body of Christ. He is certified in leadership coaching through the International Coaching Federation, Talent Optimization through Predictive Index, and Emotional Intelligence. He is also a pharmacist(!)
Trust me, you'll enjoy Jerry's honest, straight-forward, kind manner as well as the skills he lays down in this episode. And, you'll probably want more of Jerry's wisdom. Luckily, Jerry offers coaching to individuals and teams. Find him at: https://www.adaptingleaders.com
More about Jerry: I was born in the United States, growing up in a Taiwanese family. I encountered conflicts at work, in culture, and within myself.
I didn’t know how to handle any of it, and I didn’t know where to look for help.
Worse, I lost a job because I continually avoided conflict with an upset boss. But getting fired was the wake-up call I needed. I had to adapt myself and improve as a leader, which meant engaging the conflict I disliked so much. Ironically, my ongoing struggle with conflict became a fascination. Now, I help others take on the same challenges.

We've all heard of John the Baptist. Many of us see him as an eccentric accent in the story of Jesus and His disciples. But, a large amount of theologians consider John the Baptist as the MOST important figure in the New Testament second only to Jesus.
So, why do so many of us sort of skip over his importance? Probably because we (including myself before this deeper dive into his life) lack the understanding of history and exactly what he did as the last Old Testament prophet.
But John's life is a miracle from the word "Angel". He is set apart, he is vocal, he is a truth-teller unlike any other. And we have so, so, SOOOO much to learn from him which is relevant to the modern church today.
In addition... John is the first trumpeter of Christ. From the womb he knows Christ's very presence. Not to be ignored, the baby-become-God-warrior is a treasure and distinctly inserts himself into the Christmas story and beyond.
So, join us on this episode for a revelation or reminder of John's life, bravery, and meaningful actions so many of us can draw inspiration from today.
In addition, for all you arty-types, stay tuned for a spoken word poem at the end. :)

Have you ever wondered what it means to actually rest? The Bible talks a lot about work, but it also tackles the idea of resting. So, what is rest exactly? And why is it so important the Bible actually talks about it? And are we even DOING it right?
Today, Scott LaPierre - father of nine (!), author, pastor, writer - talks about what it means to rest as defined through the framework of the Bible. Something many of us rarely think about in depth.
Settle in... it's a great reminder of why God tells us to rest and how it can add to the joy of living for Him.

Here's more about Leanna:
For the past two and half years, the singer-songwriter from northwestern Washington, Leanna Crawford, has been writing, touring and singing with some of the biggest names in the Christian music industry. She’s gained more experience than many artists do in a decade, and while her music certainly displays the vocal and songwriting talent of a rising star in CCM, her grounded and honest lyrics make her feel more friend and confidante than star, more approachable than untouchable.
“I hope [listeners] feel that I care about them even if I don’t know them,” says Crawford, “that they would feel loved and encouraged.”
Her sophomore self-titled EP, released spring of 2020, certainly accomplishes this. With songs that speak honestly about doubt and insecurity as well as the hope Christ offers in our darkest moments, Crawford’s listeners will find solace in her kind and wise words, while tapping their feet along to contagious, pop-inspired beats.

Should we call out other Christians on things? Is so, what things? If we are "all sinners" whose to say you can call ANYONE on ANYTHING?
Calling other Christians on their errors is hard. And easy to avoid. And, although it should never be taken lightly, it seems that our modern church culture has created a vortex of NEVER calling anyone out on errors - be it personal attacks, misunderstandings, or theological fallacies.
But what does the Bible say?
The Bible says many things about us holding others followers of Christ to His standard. The word most often used is accountability. And it's a word many people misunderstand to be judgmental.
In this podcast we discuss a specific instance where a misleading (at best) thing was said by a minister and the reality that the Bible is very clear on how we are to handle it.
Have you ever wondered how to talk to an atheist about Christ? Maybe you have friends who resist the idea of God or colleagues who simply don't believe there's anything beyond science.
Well, if you've ever wanted to know how to approach hard conversations with a professed atheist or you simply love testimonies of those who come to the Lord in powerful ways, hearing honest conversations, or laughing with friends, this episode is for you.
Wendy Cunningham is a devout atheist turned warrior for Christ. The author of "What If You're Wrong" (an often funny revelation of what it looks like to go from a non-believer to a devout follower of Christ), Wendy believes it’s important to evaluate where our beliefs about God come from as we consider where we might be mistaken.
Her blog, www.gainingmyperspective.com and her podcast by the same name, satisfy her desire to inspire, empower, make people laugh, and share truth boldly. If you've never heard of Jonathan McLernon, after this talk, you may never forget him.
The founder of Freedom Nutrition, Jonathan has an amazing story of his journey to health. In a nutshell, *he survived an attempted murder (nearly beaten to death in South Africa) as well as losing his life savings in a failed business venture. He then let Christ help rebuild himself from the ground up.
Having lost and kept off over 100lbs after many failed attempts, Jonathan used to suffer from multiple anxiety episodes per day, and now he has less than two notable episodes per year, after some dramatic lifestyle changes.*Jonathan is compassionate, honest, loving, and tough. He's a brother in Christ you need to know. Encouraging and truth-telling. Someone you know has your back as well as your spiritual growth. Get ready to meet someone who has been transformed by Christ.
Isaiah Cruz is an NP who deals with those struggling with addiction, including pornography addiction. As a follower of Christ, medical professional, father to four daughters, and faithful husband, he has an honest, straight-forward take on the epidemic of pornography facing the church today and the ways in which we can begin to disentangle ourselves from it's lies, false promises, and destructive nature.
No matter if this is "your struggle" or not, this is a MUST LISTEN episode. Isaiah's wisdom, compassion, fatherly love, and honesty is a breath of fresh air.

It's become hugely "negative" in the church to talk about sin and repentance. But what many Christians don't realize is that repentance holds the key to staying in communion with God.
But, what exactly IS repentance? How do you actually know you ARE repentant? And how can you stay free from sin?
In this episode, Charity utilized Thomas Watson's writing to break down the depths of repentance (and, no, it's not just saying "sorry"... it's a much richer, deeper, and soul-quaking). In addition, we go through scripture about why followers of Christ need to repent and how you can stay free from falling into sin.
Get ready... this is a heart-to-heart full of honesty and truth. As well as freedom.
Have you ever wondered what it means to really "walk in God's Footsteps"? Or maybe you just want to know what it means to really live everyday in the purpose of God.
Today's guest talks about her experience with learning how to do just that.
Margaret Agard is an award-winning writer whose latest book ‘In His Footsteps: How I Gave My Todo List to God and Got More Done, More Sleep and Less Stress’ is an 18 month slice of the life of a woman committed to giving her life to God by giving today to God (or how to be happy driving in rush hour traffic, dealing with frauds and facing a mountain of manure).
Margaret talks to us from her home, four forested acres on a lake in Florida – (mind you, it's a viewing lake, not swimming lake because, well, alligators). She and her husband Parker have 15 children between them, 38 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Needless-to-say, the birthday cards alone take up a lot of time.

If you could attain a sound mind, would you? After all, Christ is known as the Prince of Peace... and He taught us just how to walk in peace of mind.
In scripture, Jesus teaches about how to use our brains the right way. A way in which we live as the best we can be, without problems or stress. (NOT through positive thinking... through following His commands). But... where do you even start?
Well, today you will find out!
Our guest today, Liam Naden, has learned that the Bible is the greatest "Success Manual" every written, and Jesus gives practical instruction on exactly how to live our ideal life.
As a speaker, teacher, writer and researcher Liam Naden helps you understand the process for creating true success in your life by understanding how to use your brain the right way - overcoming your problems, achieving your goals and ending frustrations. Jesus said He was the way the truth and the light... but, if truth is relative, how do we know what is true? And how can we know what is Christ-centered versus a version of Christianity that isn't actually what Christ taught at all?
In this episode we establish truth for what it IS versus what so many say it is.
And, Charity shares what she feels so many women are experiencing now - a "capping" of who they are ...
Let's dive in!

Charity shares a sober reality that came by way of a jarring piece of information this week... it all boils down to this: we are called to protect the kids in our lives. It's not "optional". It's a command by God.
We hear the word spoken in church and by many and NGO or non-profit... "compassion".
But what is TRUE compassion? It was demonstrated first by God and His son, Jesus. It isn't what many people think. And it's far more beautiful than most of us realize. It's also something we, as believers, are called to act out.
So, how do we know what it is? Through Jesus' example.
On this episode, we dive into three well-known stories and study Christ's response to need. Perhaps you've never seen what He does in the order He does it. But, when you do, it may alter the way you look at the problems of the world around you. And give you the way to answer those needs... in a way you ay have never tried.
Juanita Shaffer is a missionary to the US. In the process of loving people, she has seen the Lord to mighty things. And she has come to realize His love is all we need and our love is all He wants.
Sit back, be at peace, and hear the heart of the Father through a woman's life and love of Jesus.
I sit and talk with my friend, Juanita Shaffer, about her testimony and the unexplainable, unconditional, love of Jesus. Listen as she tells of a life lived for Him and His love for us. It is a revelation of His deep sacrifice and a reminder of His goodness.
We've all been there... someone in church drives you crazy. Or people just don't "get" you in your small group. Maybe you feel one way about a scripture and your friend disagrees... no matter what it is, those we are following Christ are meant to represent Him and be His "body".
Sure, we all have different talents, gifts and even perspectives, but, does that give us carte blanche to just write of people or denominations we disagree with? Does "church hurt" mean we simply walk away from humans who go to church? And does stepping into a church mean you are now part of the body?
Let's get into what scripture says about community, the body of Christ, and how we are to stick together, even if we disagree. (Albeit, we are to talk things out...).
The world is literally dying for purpose. And, yet, so many in the church seem to not know what they are meant to do - as followers of Christ and/or as individuals created by the God of the Universe.
How can we make sure we are living from a God-given-purpose-centric life? And is there anything wrong with just trying to be happy?
If you have any comments, questions, or other topics for a future episode, email Charity at: strongchristianfemale@protonmail.com
The word holy can be overwhelming. We know that only God is holy BUT we are called to walk in Christ's footsteps.
This can often create one of two approaches: self-reliance (read: rule following on steroids) or self-justification (read: abandon the holiness "ship" altogether and do your own thing).
But... where is the place God has called us as followers of Christ?
What is "realistic" when balancing His word against common Christian-American cultural acceptance?
Well, make some tea (or coffee) and let's talk about it.

What is the Biblical definition of Justice - God's justice? As Christians we have to know the answer to this question to fully see what our world is saying today that goes against our Christian worldview, ethic, and faith. Otherwise, we will begin to erode God's truth and elevate humanity's lies.

It's 2022. What can we do to shape the new year into a year of obedience, breakthroughs, successes, and hope?
One "easy" answer: seek God in ALL you do.
In this episode, we talk about seeking God in all we do and the benefits the Bible promises for us when we do just that.
In addition, we talk about future episodes coming in the next week, AND the trajectory of focus to set us up for a fabulous New Year - understanding the ideas of purpose, calling, and destiny. And how fully understanding those things can lead you to a much more fulfilling, exciting, happy life in Jesus Christ.

Covenant? Isn't that for Old Testament times...? (She says confused and not sure why we're talking olden talk). And how is faith involved in that?
Sit back. This is rich and good... oh, man. You may even want to take notes.

Ever seen Braveheart? Well, even if you missed that epic tale of overcoming tyranny, you don't have to miss out on the key themes it seared into the hearts and souls of many who watched it - that you can fight for your freedom and overcome the oppression and lies of those who insist on robbing you of it. (And, don't worry, I won't be quoting the movie in today's podcast).
This is true in life - both physically and spiritually. Today, we tackle the "spiritually".
God sent His son that we may have peace and know our worth. The freedom in Christ we can experience is one unparalleled by any other possible human experience on earth. Whether we are in a prison cell or sitting at our home making dinner... freedom is more than geography. It is about our spirit and soul living in peace and joy with the Creator of the Universe.
But, how do we experience freedom in Christ? And why is it so essential?
Let's dive in!
Have you ever met anyone who didn't want to "hear from God"?
But... does He actually want to talk to us? Does He even try to talk to us? How does He talk to us? What are we doing wrong if He is trying to talk to us?
This is an episode about the reality of how many of us ignore the Holy Spirit and the "easy" ways you can begin to hear His voice. Every day.
Albeit a strange thing to talk about for some, the Bible talks about spiritual warfare and the reality it can be in the life of a follower of Jesus. But, how do you know if you're experiencing spiritual warfare and not just depression or self-inflicted consequences?
In this episode, we dive into this needed conversation, identifying "common" symptoms of spiritual warfare and scriptural ways to overcome it. We hope it leaves you more aware of possible spiritual warfare AND how to arm yourself against it taking a place in your life.
Get ready... it's time to defeat the schemes of the enemy in your life.
In this episode we talk with Sheroes of the Bible author Lauren L. Nelson about her decision to create a solution to a problem presented to her by her seven-year-old daughter. And how now that "kairos moment" inspires children around the world.
This is an episode of empowerment. Sit back, listen, and find encouragement

Have you ever felt like a fish out of water? Perhaps you are surrounded by "Type A" folks, but, you're more of a type "E". We've all felt like we don't belong... even in the church. So, what do we do?
In this episode we dive deep into honesty, vulnerability, and the truth about conformity. Yes, the culture wants us to conform. But, so do many churches. And to what expense? And how do we resist? And, what do we do when there's no "place" for our gifts?
Propaganda has been around since the Garden of Eden. But... would you recognize it if you saw it? Maybe you think you can in culture, but, what about inside the church? (What does propaganda in the church even look like?)

We need to pray for our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan. Let's take a few minutes and do it now.
Custom-fit everything can be found in our culture. From cars to beds to clothes. But... a "custom-fit Bible"? Is that really a thing?
Custom-fit is not something our God intended for His word. So, how can we recognize when we've altered His word to fit our lives rather than the other way around?
Hold on to your hats... this one is relevant and honest. We need to get up, open our Bibles, learn about CRT and learn what the Bible says that deviates far from it.
On this episode, we use several key sources including "Fault Lines" by Voddie Baucham and the many sources and resources used on the Just Thinking Podcast, Episode #108 . These sources are chalked full of many additional sources - sited as they use them.
Delve in, learn what CRT is about AND where it came from.
Christians must understand what is coming into our schools, work places, government and even churches in order to have honest, enlightened, Christ-centered conversation that is full on truth. No more sitting on our hands. Get informed and get involved.
There is little talk in most churches today about repentance. Why? Do we really need to repent "regularly"? Doesn't God love us for who we are? And, if He loves us for who we are, surely He knows we sin, so...
Today we'll talk about the immense weight that Christ put on repentance and why it a necessary part of the gospel. (The FULL gospel). And also why it must be done in a way that ushers in humidly, honesty, and restoration to God.
Without repentance, where are we as a people of God?
If you've ever experienced sickness beyond the cold or flu, you may have asked God to help you... perhaps even to heal you. In some way, most of us have needed healing and dared to ask. But, did you get it? If so, did you tell anyone? If not, did you stop contending for healing, assuming that it just "wasn't for you"?
Is healing still for today? Did Jesus really die for our sins AND our healing? What is God doing now for those that suffer?
What does the Bible say about God, Jesus, and healing?
This topic isn't an easy one to wrestle with... but wrestle we must. So, grab you mat and let's get to it.
Have you ever seen people with a fatalistic world view? Similar to "karma", they believe more in the idea of "what will be will be" and far less about our stance in Jesus over the circumstances that surround us. The challenging part is not so much those in the world believing this, but those in the church.
But, what does the Bible say about how we are to take on our lives and the world around us? Does God share our fatalistic, pre-determined, mostly powerless stance in life? Or does He have a far different message for us?
Today we talk about the vantage point our lives are to have in Jesus Christ. And, good news... it's not the lies we are often told by our media, our co-workers or even some believers.
Scriptures used in podcast:
I John 5:4-5
Romans 8:37
I Corinthians 15:57
Ephesians 6:16
Romans 12:2
Psalm 60:12
John 10:10
Job 36:11
Ephesians 4:30
Romans 16:20
I John 2:15
We've all had it. We may still be wrestling with it. Heck, we may wear it around and call it our wardrobe. But, it's a spiritual killer... and some of us are living it out everyday.
Pride.
Pride is a human issue that we are now openly accepting and even bringing into the church. But what does God say about it? Because, in the end, it's not our culture who will hold us accountable... it's Him.
So, let's tackle this mountain and conquer it once and for all.
Jesus said His burden is light. So, why is life so freaking hard sometimes?
___________
Have you ever tried to do something new without any guidance. Maybe a picture inspired you. Or a book you read. You set out to do it and... it was far harder than you expected. And then you realized that a LOT the people who have done that exact thing before you got help. Or wrote a book to help others. Or gave up because it was just way too hard.
We aren't meant to be islands. We aren't meant to take on the world alone. We also aren't meant to carry everything in life we've picked up along the way.
Far be it from me to squish anyone's dream, however, I do believe we need to really prepare for what we are getting into. In life, in our profession, in relationships and in our walk with Jesus. We need others and we especially need the Holy Spirit to help us. And we have to be ready to lay it all down, only picking up what Christ says to carry with us.
This one is for the warriors. We are empowering parents to protect their kids by arming up with information that is key to keeping creepy hands away from our children's minds, bodies, and souls.
This episode guides you through a FULL class of how to safeguard your family by making you aware of gateways and tactics people use to groom, seduce, and abuse kids. Although not a "everything you need to know", it is a huge springboard into understanding and empowerment.
Never assume your family is safe from the enemy. Do not lower your guard simply because of your child's age, abilities, or habits. Although we are not to live in fear, we are to be as wise as the serpent that prey's on our children. This is a podcast for those wanting insight, wisdom, and applicable tools to cut the snake off at the head and keep our families guarded.
Listen in, share, and re-listen. It's time to join the fight against abuse, exploitation, and the trafficking of children, teens and young adults.
Our Christian culture is in dire need of a shift. A re-prioritizing, a re-focus, a removal of all things that aren't from Christ and meant for His church. But, how do we even begin such a task?
That's what we are about to tackle. It's simple but not easy. And it must be done in each of our lives before we are swept away by the culture invading our walls.
Ever felt like life was over your head. Ever decided to just let the waves engulf you?
Although this can be what we WANT to do, it's not the life God wants us to live. However, society says, it's fine to live a life that is out of sorts and "messy". But... is it?
Do you ever feel like following Jesus is... a chore? Well, it can start to feel that way if our perspective is not where God wants it to be. After all, all of the don't-do-thises can stack up and feel overwhelming.
But, God never meant for our lives following Jesus to feel overwhelming. He says "my yoke is easy and my burden is LIGHT.” (Matthew 11:30) So how do we get it wrong?
Today we talk about flipping the script and how seeking time with God through relationship can truly "fix" our perspective on all that can seem to burden us about our walk of faith.
Well, we're back to discuss the reality of what limiting God in our lives looks like.
Open your Bibles, open your hearts... let's do this!
Our minds are given to us by God. However, they can be the very gateway that keeps us FROM God.
In today's episode we tackle the reality that many face in the church - knowing so much we rely on our own knowledge, rather than God's wisdom and the presence of and relationship with the Holy Spirit. This is something our society and the American church is struggling with big time!
It's one I hope no one misses. Please share it with a friend, too... we all need to hear this reminder from God.
(AND, to keep timely, we broke this particular podcast into two parts - don't miss either on!)
Have you ever felt powerless over the things around you?
It's true that our actions are under our control. And the consequences of those actions are the harvest we reap from the things we have sewn. If we overeat, our bodies will do what they are created to do and store that extra fuel for another day. Or, if we stay up late watching movies, we will be tired. Or, if we spend every dollar we make on things we don't actually need, we will run out of money and perhaps feel desperate. These are things we have control over, even if we don't like the consequences.
However, what about the things you truly don't have control over? Perhaps it is an illness you're facing, or the sudden loss of a job because the economy tanked, or even the return of temptation time and time again. These are things that often come out of no one and de-rail us if we allow them to take control of our lives.
The problem is, things will come against us beyond the circumstances we create. And, although we can learn self-control and wisdom to manage the things in our power, it's the things beyond our choices that can make us feel as if God has left us to flounder.
But He hasn't. He never has.
In this episode we talk about the idea of powerlessness and what God says about it. We use the idea of what we speak to reflect the truth of where it is we place our faith.
Powerless, like other lies the enemy has sold God's people, is a lie. We are not powerless. Through Jesus Christ, we have power over sin and death - in every area of our lives.
Let's talk about how to recognize powerlessness and how to stop it in our lives.
Ever wonder how things in the Christian culture (that are not founded on the Word of God) get started? Ever wonder if you have some mis-truths in your own walk with Jesus?
Today we tackle the truth about some cultural Christian lies. And we arm up to defeat them.
This is a story of an Italian man living on a British Estate stolen by Irish pirates and sold into slavery. This is the story of St. Patrick.
If you're like me, you never really heard about "St. Patrick" growing up. Sure, there was St. Patrick's Day - shamrocks, leprechauns, and gold at the end of rainbows. But, the true story of St. Patrick wasn't something I ever heard or understood.
However, if you're also like me, you like hero stories. Stories of people overcoming adversity and becoming better people to overcome evils of the world. This is that kind of story.
Give it a quick listen. And be inspired to look adversity in face, seek God, forgive your oppressors... and change a nation forever.
What if we dared to believe that the God of the universe wanted a personal, interactive relationship with us?
Not a systematic, stale, religious life trapped on a page, but a real, interactive relationship full of hope, love, peace and adventure? How would that change how we go about our lives? And, how does THAT sort of walk with God even begin?
Well... let's talk about it! And then, let's start inviting the Holy Spirit into every part of our lives. Like, today. After all, the world desperately needs us to show God's love and live bold, daring lives for Him. Lives that change us, our families, and our community.
The time for radical Jesus followers is NOW.
Well, well, well... once again people speaking "my truth" have led the world into a dark abyss of sin and destruction. (Or, in some cases, just led us all into distraction from what God really wants us to pay attention to - Him and what He is doing in the earth.) Man, can't humanity ever learn a lesson?
In today's episode we delve into what the Bible says truth is, who gives us the revelation of eternal Holy truth and how you can discern and know truth from a lie.
So, ladies... it's time to be encouraged and get honest while we jump into the word together.
Let's do this!
As people continue to see the lies of the enemy exposed in our lives, it is imperative that we, as followers of Jesus, embrace the comforter He left us. In John 16:7, Christ said, "But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you." (more below) So, if Christ said it is GOOD that I am leaving so that the Holy Spirit may come, why do so many Christians fear the Holy Spirit and His presence?
The truth is... the more we lean into God, the more He will make us less and less comfortable in this world. Which means we will become more and more dependent on Him.
Less of God is not a more fulfilling life. It does not give you more of any of the things that truly fill our souls - less God means less peace, less patience, less bravery, less honesty, less love. So, why do so many of us settle for less?
Well... let's talk about that today. And let's see what in our own lives we have limited or redefined to fit our comfort zone. THEN, let's pray together to cast off lies and comfort and seek more of God! He needs a warrior bride for these days. (No more pampered debutants).
Then, next episode, let's delve into even lots of great scripture to expand and deepen this discussion... whoot!
John 16:7-15: "But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: about sin, because people do not believe in me; about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.
12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
A.W. Tozer once wrote, “So strong, so beautiful is hope that it is scarcely possible to overpraise it. It is the divine alchemy that transmutes the base metal of adversity into gold. In the midst of death Paul could be bold and buoyant because he had firm confidence in the final outcome. "
C.S. Lewis would also go on to say, “Hope is one of the Theological virtues. This means that a continual looking forward to the eternal world is not (as some modern people think) a form of escapism or wishful thinking, but one of the things a Christian is meant to do. It does not mean that we are to leave the present world as it is. If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were just those who thought most of the next.”
Hope is eternal. It is the key reflection of God in our lives. It is not a belittling or denial of reality, but a true acknowledgement of the eternal reality Christians have in Jesus Christ our Lord.
We are made to hope in Jesus. This hope can be an everyday part of our lives. But we must clear away the hopelessness of the world. (Easier said than done!) However, in Christ, all things are possible.
Let us dive in together and get a good reminder of the hope we have in Jesus!

This is part two of our talk about FOMO.
Culture throws a lot of reasons at us every day to go along with everything from political decisions to fashions, diets to definitions of gender. It's madness. And, if you are worried about not being accepted by others, the pressure the world puts on us can compound and encourage us to silence our voice or even water down our faith.
It's time to stop seeking to blend in and start seeking God's approval alone. No more worrying about being "left out" of the world around us. It's time to stop being "left out" of God's plan for our life.
Correction: The author of "Lonely but Never Alone" is Ricky Cruz.
Well, now that we've identified the Ultimate Christian FOMO (check out episode 44 if you're not quite sure what that means), let's get ready to get it out of our lives for good!
In this two-part episode we dive into scripture to seek God's word on identifying Fear of Man and getting it out of our lives so we can do the things He has called us to do. Get ready to get into battle gear... this stronghold can be a doozy in our lives. But, if we are called to walk as Jesus walked, fearing man is not part of the equation.
Let's do this!
Scriptures for this episode (includes both parts 1 and 2):
Duet 20:8
Isaiah 51:7
Psalm 118:6
Heb 13:6
Proverbs 19:25
I John 3:16-18
Psalm 118:6, “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
Are you sick and tired of leaning more into the acceptance of the world around you rather than the conviction of the Holy Spirit? Do you want to do things for Christ even if it means taking a risk and not being "liked"? If so... it's time to get rid of Christian FOMO.
Fear of man is talking about throughout the Bible. When we ignore Christ and His principles to seek the approval of (or, in 2021 just not be yelled at by) others.
It's time to leave the fear of others - what they think, how they will treat you, and what they will say about you - behind. When we follow Jesus, people will find reasons to not like us. Even if we walk in love, speaking truth and walking as Jesus walks, people will turn against you. Call it whatever you'd like - jealousy, anger, insecurity, ignorance - people either are drawn to or repelled by the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. But, if we fear their opinion, we will NEVER do what Christ has called us, as His body, to do (including heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons...)
Scripture references for today:

Revelation 20:11-15
Hebrews 9:27
Matthew 25:41
2 Thess. 1:9
Matthew 10:28
Caleb and Joshua were outnumbered by the other spies 10 to 2. Those odds are dismal. However, without denying reality, Caleb and Joshua stood by what God said He was going to do and said that defeating the giants was possible because of God's promise and His word.
What is God saying right now in the face of giants? How can we become giant-slayers? Who in your life is telling you that the reality of the situation "too big for God"?
We are called to be giant-slayers and hope bringers. We are called to stand in God's promises. We are no longer going to be wandering in the desert, but we are to conquer the enemy - fortress and all.
Pick up your sword, push aside the doubt of others and let's do this!
Considered part 2 of "Innocent Lies...?" (SCF Episode 41), in this podcast episode
we delve into scripture dealing with truth and discuss what the Bible says about speaking truth even in the face of culturally accepted lies.
Do we want to be known as people of God, who, in speaking eternal truth, are recognized by people and of God as followers of Him? Afterall, without His truth, the world will never see a difference in our lives. Nor will children see any difference in following Jesus.
So, let's armor up in truth and call out lies wherever they hide in our lives.
Scriptures discussed:
John 8:31-32
I Kings 17:24
Psalm 15
Some lies can come dressed in festive clothes. And, while innocence and mystery and wonder are fantastic parts of childhood... a more serious question arises in the foreground of what may be a somewhat innocent tradition:
are there lies from our childhoods that might still be lingering in our lives today?
If so, how do we know? And what do we do with those?
Also, as Christians, are we to embrace lies/imagination/fantasy as a way of life like the world around us? What does that look like for us as parents and adults?
Let's dive into this sometimes "touchy" topic and look into what God is calling us into rather than what the world is fighting for us to hold onto.
(7:20 - Beginning of chapter reading)
Well... this may not be the most "popular" topic, but, if you just lived through 2020 we all know it's a relevant one.
God did not call us to comfort. He called us to deny ourselves and follow Him. But... what does that look like NOW?
Let's dive in and be encouraged. Oh, and get ready to be a very not-comfortable-in-the-world's-clothes warrior for Jesus.

We all like to be comfortable. But is that what God is calling us to be?
This episode is the springboard to a deeper conversation (posted in episode 40) about comfort in our daily walk as a follower of Jesus. In this true story, you will see that sometimes what can seem out-of-place is exactly what God is asking us to do.
Get ready to stand out. God is calling us out and up!
In this episode we dive deeper into the section of "The Truth About Lies" dealing with the (rarely discussed) 25% of all Millennial and Gen Z generations.
Did you know that 25% of all Millennial and Gen Z persons were aborted? More importantly, do you think God has an opinion on that? If so, as Christians, what are we to do?
This episode is an honest look at calling out the abortion acceptance in the church and empowering us to DO something about it.
No more sitting on our hands. God is moving and we must follow.
This is our first episode kicking off a new format of Strong, Christian, Female. (We read, then discuss).
This episode is all about the danger of just one lie. What can one lie do to a person, a relationship, a nation? What power is there in "just one lie"?
We all know that Satan is the father of lies... his game is to destroy our world with lies by corrupting our souls. Many do not know what his lies look like because they do not know the truth of Jesus Christ found through the eternal word of God and personal relationship with Him. However, knowing truth exposes the lies.
Listen and be encouraged and emboldened to take on the lies of the enemy in our culture. WE can no longer indulge in apathy and ignorance. Our time to live whole-heartedly and courageously for God are now. There is no more time to waste.
If you've ever had a week's worth of conversations about the nothing of more substance than the weather, you've experienced the art of talking about nothing.Sometimes this is understandable when you're in a room of strangers. Other times, this becomes a life pattern and we never step out and say (or do) things that can lead to real spiritual impact.
In today's podcast, we talk about this fairly common trend in our Christian culture and what we are called to do that is counter to this acceptable "level" of depth in our lives, conversations, relationships, and ministry.
Let's get deep! Let's start saying things of depth, insight, and love.
In this episode, we talk about the amazing story of four Hebrew boys (to men) who shifted culture by living up to their name. This deeper dive into the lives of Daniel and his three closest friends will shift your perspective and cause you to take time to ponder the mantel on your own life. One of deep rooted-ness and the ability to shift culture by knowing your place in God's kingdom.
This week, listen to the podcast and take time to talk to God about your "name", your mantel, and His call on your life. Get ready to be inspired and motivated in these times of golden idols and fiery furnaces.
In this episode we dive back into the idea of the cultural definition of "Christian" versus what the Bible says we should do in order to follow Christ.
If you haven't listened to the part one, click back and give it a listen first to have more context of where we are and what we are addressing.

When you hear the word "Christian", what do you think?
Many think it means going to church, reading the Bible (sometimes) and celebrating Easter and Christmas. Others think it means a devoted life to Jesus. Still others think of it as more of a cultural identity... the general "niceties" of Christian-y things.
The frustrating thing is... all of these definitions could be true. Depending on how you interpret the word itself. Why? Because there is no definition for "Christian" in the Bible. Because Christians are not what Christ actually called us to be. He called us to be His followers.
In this two-part episode we'll talk about our culture, the Christian culture, and how the idea of "Christian" is often a shrouded in a lie. We also talk about what the Bible says it means to follow Jesus... which, is by-in-large is often very different than what the world defines as "being Christian".
Grab your sword. Let's dive in!
Well, no one can say the world isn't full of opinions. But, when opinions are presented as fact OR conjecture is hailed as truth, you can have a world of hurt on your hands.
In the church today, we have a LOT of messages which are based in half-truths and opinions. Many people don't even know it... some are completely unaware that entire movements to normalize sin and other behaviors are unacceptable to God (and they are nothing new).
In this episode we address the idea of lies being propped up and presented in ways that seem true. And we talk about seeking God's word and the Holy Spirit so we can learn God's eternal truth and use it to defeat the barrage of lies coming at us from all sides.
Get ready ladies! It's sword sharpening time.
This is a special, rather impromptu episode dealing with the fragility of our lives and the urgency or knowing our savior and loving others. We are not promised tomorrow. Let us no longer live for ourselves.
Listen as Charity honestly explains how recent news has struck her to remember that we are but vapors and Christ calls us to seek the greatest of calls - to love others and lay down our lives (and our cellphones, our schedules, our Netflix line up) and connect with people. Love others deeply through action starting today.
At the end of the episode, there is a challenge: for the next 30 days connect with another human EVERYDAY in way that is meaningful. Let us make this next month a deeper, stronger, more loving month. Set aside opinions and division and embrace genuine relationship with one another.
Christ has called us to love those around us - not from behind a screen, but in deeper ways. Let us learn to be used of Him to show His love!
Let's finish this conversation! What is God calling us to as Christians? What sin have we allowed to cloud our walk with Him? And what happens when sin becomes our identity....
The idea of "identity" is EVERYONE. From our career choices to the food we eat, our weight to our gender. Our culture is saturated with labels, and identifiers that are falsely telling us who we are as as women and as Christians.
But what happens when we turn to the culture to define us? What happens then their "bar" of expectation is the bar we set for our lives? What does God say our identity should be and who we are in Him?
Let's talk about the trap, the bait, the lies and the truth... part one of two sections to the podcast is on!
We need to pray. Always, but, especially now. Our country is in a very tense position in history. Please pray with us and seek God for truth, wisdom, and repentance for our leaders, ourselves, and our representatives.
Join us!
We continue our conversation about recovery in the church with our special guest, Melinda Daniels. Having survived childhood trauma herself, Melinda spent many years navigating anxiety, depression, and over-eating without knowing why she was suffering or where the root of the issue was coming from. Through counseling and her passionate relationship with Jesus she was able to overcome her trauma and grapple with forgiveness and grace.
In this episode we talk about walking through our past "with Jesus" as well as the reality of boundaries. While we talk about many facets of healing we realize this is not a thorough conversation about the fullness of healing nor a therapy session. We encourage anyone who needs help with trauma, anxiety or depression to seek professional Christ-centered counseling. Please know you are loved and, even if you yourself know you have caused pain to others, you are forgiven.
Special guest alert!
Okay, so, let's be frank... we have all seen or experienced someone who is healing emotionally. It can be messy and we, as the church, need to know how to deal with it. This takes perspective and honesty. Which is exactly what our guest today offers.
This episode is with the fabulous Melinda Daniels. Having overcome childhood trauma and walking through her experiences with God, the church, and professional counselors, Melinda wants the church to hear about what it is like to go through recovery and what it means to seek recovery through Christ-centered community and help.
The church needs to hear this! For one, Melinda talks about how recovery is BRAVE. In addition, recovery takes healing through Jesus and it also takes help from others. However, no matter where you are at, whether you are aware of the events that caused you pain or you are suffering from anxiety and aren't sure why, know this: Jesus is here to help you heal and to break off the lies in your life.
In this two-part episode we talk about: how it's hardest not to judge those that are in the process of recovery, how Jesus sweated blood the night before He died because of what He knew He was about to face, how giant of the faith - Moses, Job, David - all had anxiety, depression and called out to God at one point or another in their journey, and more.
In addition, on part two, we talk about scriptures which talk about healing and how Jesus can help lead us to a place of wholeness and even joy.
So... let's dive in together!
Have you ever thought about how good you are? I mean, compared to the "other people" in the world right now, it's pretty good to seem good. But... what does Christ say about God's standard of goodness? What are we called as Christians to be (rather than what the world things we are called to be)?
Being good is more than just doing nice things. It's not "easy" and God's standard is unattainable. So... what are we to do? How are we to cut through lies in our culture that tell us we are good or being good is _______?
Let's dive into the idea of "I'm a good person"... and the lies we so often believe by comparing ourselves to the world around us rather than the bar set high for us by Christ.
In this episode, we continue in our quest for Godly wisdom by learning about two more "people" who have encountered Lady Wisdom: the scoffer and the wise son. By learning more about who the Bible says will prevail in wisdom, we can learn how to find wisdom ourselves. We will also see how our current culture is full of people not seeking God's wisdom, but instead they seek to follow their own desires and even scoff at God and His ways.
Inspired by a sermon by Dr. Voddie Baucham, Charity talks about the four people in Proverbs and how we need to only focus on being the "wise son" (daughter) through our relationship with Jesus and following God and His word. It is in this way God can pour out His wisdom in our lives and we, in turn, can help lead others to Christ.
Have you ever wanted to know more about what wisdom really is? Have you ever noticed that human nature as talked about in the Bible is the same today? Or... have you never really noticed?
The truth is, the Bible is full of wisdom. God's wisdom. And one of the greatest lessons we can learn for ourselves is how to be wise ourselves.
In this episode, inspired by a sermon for Dr. Voddie Baucham, we learn what God's wisdom is and what the Bible says about two types of people who do not know it: the fool and the simple.
You will see how these "people" are still very much in our culture today - both in the world and in the church - and you will learn what we are to do about it. Get ready to be inspired through God's eternal truth.
We continue our conversation about how to love even when it's hard. In addition, our guest host also answers some honest questions about how the Church can help support and love both foster families and foster kids better.
We want to say that all foster parents, no matter their faith, deserve support from the church. We need to love them as they love the "orphan". There are many, many lovely, hard working, devoted people who foster kids and we want them to know we love them and the work they are doing in the life of a child.
Please find a way to reach out to foster families in your area and love them as Christ called us to do. And, if possible, start a foster support group in your church for any and all foster families in your area. Walk with these folks... these children and these parent need us to fight for the heart and souls of these kids.
Today we hear from a mother who adopted a boy who experienced intense abuse when in his home. The love of his family and the love of the King have brought immense healing to his heart, but, not without a lot of patience, anger, frustration, confusion and raw life.
In this episode we hear about experiences some children go through and what many foster and adopted parents face as they learn to love a child whose heart and soul are still being pieced back together. It's an honest conversation... one everyone needs to hear.
A reminder of what many kids are facing and how God's love prevails if we lean in to Him rather than our own understanding.
In this episode we dive into NOT being silent.
Although the Bible talks about times of silence and being wise with your words (i.e. no "pearls before swine" on social media), there is far more talk in the word of God about speaking up. So, when do you know WHEN to speak up?
Whether in words of love and encouragement or words of love and accountability, there is no follower of Christ exempt from talking and engaging with others. But knowing how to do so with Godly integrity can be a whole other matter. However, God is calling our generation to speak truth in love. The world is desperate for our voices! We must begin to speak into the lives of those around us.

Well, we're baaaaaaack! With another episode where we dive into the Bible, our culture, and the lies that we as Christians must break off our lives.
The key issue of seeking comfort is a huge hindrance in the American church today. And, in this season of "discomfort" God is calling His church to swim upstream with Him - against the cultural lies we are surrounded by. Yet, we are creatures of comfort... so, what are we to do?
In this episode, Charity talks about the lies of the enemy - especially the lie of seeking comfort and the idea that we can have a rich spiritual life without sacrifice - and gives encouragement and prayer for women who are in need of a touch from Jesus.

In this part two part podcast, we talk about identity in Christ alone.
What does the Bible say about identity and how Christians are to act and honor God? Knowing what Christ calls us to be is the single weapon every Christian needs in defeating the lies that swirl in our world and in our churches today. Without knowing this, it is easy to get swayed by current ideologies thinking they are "new" arguments rather than age-old sin like the many ages that have come before us.
In a world swirling with false identity which anchors itself to everything from gender to color to nationality to sports teams how are Christians to respond to cultural wars? Easy. The same way we have been called to respond to the same type of false identity for the last two thousand years: we only anchor our identity to Christ.
Nothing else.
Our society no longer values human life in the way God intended. What does it mean to be created "in His image"? How does that reality establish our value?
As Christians, are we allowing the world to tell us what title we deserve, what group to belong to, how to label ourselves, or how much to value ourselves and those around us?
We are not called to label our lives the way the world does. We are not called to divide and group people by broad-based descriptors. We are called to see each person as valued and loved of God no matter what they look like or where they are born.
Without the Biblical foundation of God's image bearers and God's likeness, the world will inform us how to think of ourselves and those around us. We must understand the God-ordained way to see humanity... as valued creations of God.
In this part one of "Finding our Image in Christ Alone", we talk about being made in God's image and what that means. Let's dive in!

This is the second part of "What Does God Say About Racism". We are featuring the "Life Has Purpose" podcast from the Radiance Foundation with Ryan and Bethany Bomberger.
Listen in and know, God is a unifying God of love. Not a divisive God of hate and fear-mongering. Be the light in the world we need through Christ's love. Mourn with those who mourn. Learn to forgive. Love deep.

In a world torn apart by racial rhetoric and hate, we must seek what God says about ethnic hatred and how the church is to respond. This two-part episode features the "Life Has Purpose" podcast with Ryan and Bethany Bomberger. Listen as they walk through the hard conversation on "race" and the needed response as the body of Christ whenever media and culture flare up in hate and anger.
Note: this podcast was created before the tragic death or George Floyd. It is not a response to his death but is a rooted, ever-true guide to God's truth in a culture of division. We stand with those who have seen injustice and we mourn for the loss of Mr. Floyd.
"Mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another." - Romans 12:15, 16
In this episode, we talk to Rebecca Gumm, an amazing woman and follower of Jesus who talks about seasons of barrenness and how Jesus asks us to leave it all behind when He asks us to follow Him. It's an encouraging conversation full of insight, laughter and encouragement.
Scripture reference: "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned..." John 15:1-6
Romans 15:13 9 (Amplified Bible): "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises."
The "s" word is one we rarely use in the church today. But, when we choose, over and over again, to sin and expect God to remain in good relationship with us, refusing to change ... what does that say about us?
Let's dive in to what the scripture says about freeing ourselves from the chains of sin, let's be honest with ourselves and with God about who He has called us to be -- let's learn how to be set FREE.

In a world of cross-contamination awareness, let's talk about our spiritual walk with some re-alignment! Great news... it's not as mysterious as you think. In fact, God has given us easy, clear, easy-to-follow instructions! So... let's get to it.
The Bible has a lot to say about ignoring God's commands and doing our own thing. How can we identify what the Bible calls rebellion in our lives and lead others out of it to serve God with our whole heart?
Parents are on the OFFENSE in the fight against predatorial behavior online toward our children. We have the power to safeguard them. But, we must do the work.
With our kids "forced" to be online almost everyday during lockdown, it's essential to keep them safe by knowing what to do. In this episode I pull from my years of working with experts in human trafficking education, child exploitation, and suicidality. The FIVE TIPS you will hear are concise and vital in keeping kids safe online.
This is not a dark episode, but it is a heavy topic. However, again, we have the power to overcome the enemy - both spiritually and literally - when we are armed with the right information. So, ladies... learn how to put your armor on and fight for the kids in or lives!
Do most Christians experience anxiety? Check. Depression? Check. Worry? Check.
But what does God say about fear?
Expectation enters into our lives as Christians ALL the time. But, what does God expect of us? What are His commands? How can we possible meet His expectations of what the Christian life looks like?
In this episode we tackle the truth of God's word concerning peace, joy, and fear. (We also overcome a loud, nosy "neighbor"...)
Thanks to the "Complicated-ish" podcast for asking a great question and thank you, Jesus, for dying on the cross so we can be free from the lies of this world.
Enjoy!
Ladies... laughter is the BEST medicine. In a world full of frustration, death, lies and hate... we need some serious medicine.
In this bonus episode, Charity shares a brief list of age-appropriate funny and uplifting shows that can get you past all the drama and tears, even if for a brief moment.
Life is not easy. It was never promised to be easy. BUT, we can find joy and laughter in the moment.
Viewer discretion advised! The shows recommended are a starting place. Watch and decide if your kids or teens can also watch. I explain what they are about and my impression/warning of each.
Short list: "Some Good News" with John Krasinski (family safe), Brooklyn 99 (adults only), "Jerry Before Seinfeld" on Neflix (teens and adults), Jim Gaffigan's last five stand up specials (teens and adults... most jokes are fine for even kids), Brian Reagan stand up via audio (most kids and adults... very rarely a swear word used)...
If you've ever faced heart ache, disappointment, confusion or even felt unloved, you may have found yourself wondering what God thinks of the things happening in your life and in the world around you. Although we don't have time to go into great detail about the complexities of sin's effect on our world and in our lives, we can rest assured that God has a very different perspective on things than our human nature or the enemy would like us to have.
In this episode, we talk about looking at things from the bigness and goodness of God. It's not something most of us allow ourselves to do as we tend to focus on the immediate and small circle of life we are living right now. But, what would happen if we "zoom out" and try and see the world from God's perspective? How could that change our worries, our pain, our lusts, our idolatry? Where would we even begin?
Rather than off-roading into a journey of despair, anger, frustration, sadness and all the other fun things that can come along with living the human experience, let's shift our focus and stay rooted in His word, .
We all need to take a moment to re-align and get encouraged - as mothers, as leaders, as women who put Christ first in all we do. It's a crazy time in the world, but, it's the time we are CALLED to live in! God is equipping us. Let's pick up our sword, put on our helmet, get on the battle gear, and lead.
(Note: This is our "mid-week" encouragement episode, a little early. Our goal with these episodes is to help re-focus our eyes on Jesus).
As Christians, we are meant to have an identity in Christ alone. But, we allow so many other things to cloud our minds and woo our hearts. But, what is our identity supposed to be grounded in? How can we focus on God's definition of who we are, rather than the one culture tries to mold us into?
This episode talks about just that! Let's shift our thinking to what God has called us to be. Let's get ready to focus on His purpose for our lives by embracing what and who our identity is rooted in.
Let's face it... screens are the babysitter, appeaser, teacher, entertainer, and sometimes, solution to all of our problems. They can be great. And, they can be definitely not-so-great. The question is: are we inviting God into the decisions we are making for what our kids watch, how much they watch, and what they have to do to earn it?
Get ready, because this episode tackles all of that AND has a plan for action! (29:25 recaps the plan... but, you gotta listen to fully grasp it all, cuz this is a journey of opening our eyes).
So, sit back, sip your tea, listen with an open heart, and get ready to relate and be encouraged. We are taking back screen time with intention and new eyes and we are ready to face the hard. (Parenting with intention is a bear, but, ladies... we are built for it!)
So... lets dive in!
In this episode we delve into a lie within the Christian community that has prevented us from setting others free with the truth of Jesus Christ and God's word - silence. It's time to break off this lie and start speaking God's truth in love with boldness.
Let's do this warriors!
It's a little cray-cray out there, ladies. With the Coronavirus, kids at home unexpectedly, jobs on hold... it's the perfect storm to create an atmosphere of fear, anxiety, and even anger. In this episode, Charity gives her testimony of overcoming fear and anxiety and focuses our minds on Jesus through scripture and prayer.
