This podcast is dedicated to talking about all things mental health related. My own experience with depression, anxiety, and suicide. To give people hope and courage and advice on how to live with mental illness. To be loud about truth, hope, and living with a purpose.
Back to the beginning again. In the season one finale Jared talks about the coma and the suicide that was the most life altering event. This set him on the journey of really accepting that mental illness and staying on medicine had to happen. Season 2 will start back up in July 2019. #staytuned
Diving into relationships with women and how that relates with mental health. More on loneliness and other parts of how our unhealthy behavior can create regret. We get into the discussion about Logotherapy and what is implies for those dealing with depression.
Diving deep into how the relationship with the Father affects our lives and our depression.

Episode #7 dives into the combination of faith and mental illness. We get going on the large debate and conversation of how much devil and deliverance are apart of finding a balance. Jared says that his idea of all this started with being raised Pentecostal and Charismatic. However, others share this experience and others share a similar dynamic of having the bible and faith influence mental illness. We want to bring it all together in this show and episode #7 is the start of tackling theology with mental health. Thanks for listening!

Based on inspiration from an event that I got to speak at with Nami. We looked at this video from Brene Brown:

We dive into how the life of Christ also compels us to empathy. Jesus went about healing every kind of illness and disease in Mathew 4. I want both of these to exist in my life and I think as a person that deals with mental health issues we need it even more.
We jump on the topic of some elements of what depression is like. Dealing with conflict, and motivation. The acronym L.I.V.E. is something practical to live by with the present, past, and future tense. We also live by Inviting Humility, as we need that for each and every part of our recovery.
In this episode we talk about the stigma behind mental illness. We dive into way we can help each other understand all the sides to mental illness. Humility with empathy is a must for starting this conversation. This won't be the last time we talk about this subject.
In episode #2 we talk about anxiety and the Wesleyan Quadrilateral as reason, tradition, experience, and Scripture are helpful in making decisions with faith and mental illness. Where do we pull inspiration in the bible for anxiety and how does it vary from worry. We have a good God that wants to provide, and will provide for us.
In this episode we talk about the defining moments of when depression and anxiety entered my life. At the age of 21 I received my first diagnosis. Bi-Polar was what the doctor's said I had. Here I am 12 years later still working through it and making this podcast to inspire and give hope. You can live with mental illness and you are going to be okay.
