Hey FIC Listeners!
It's been a long LONG time. It's back and it's not only Christina. Nathan (Nate) has joined as a permanent guest. You might remember Nate from our most played episode to date, episode 2 (Heartbreak and Mental Health) and others.
In this clip, we let you know what we have been up to and we are so happy to be back and falling into conversation once again. Catch us again in 2 weeks!

In this episode I Fall into Conversation with RoxXxan (@rotriplex) who is an actor, musician, model, DJ and podcaster. We talk about Roxxx presenting as a ‘masculine woman’ and what this means for her career.
We also discuss her upbringing and whether she was pushed to be ‘more feminine’.
Coming from a mixed family background of Irish and Jamaican descent I wanted to understand how it was for Roxxx 'coming out' to her family as gay especially as this wasn’t something Roxxx knew about herself until moving to London in her Early twenties.
Check it out and as always let me know what you thought @fallintoconversation.
As always this is Roxxx's story - doesn't mean it should be your story and your experiences would be the same. Each to their own.
In this episode I Fall into Conversation with Vic (@vicsanusi) and Jas (@jas_bw) from the award winning podcast 'Black Gals Livin' (@blackgalslivin). Their podcast drops a new episode every Monday and sees them talking about mental health, pop culture and everything in between.
In this episode we talk about their mental health journey and their relationship with medication. In some cases you may feel judged by loved ones who don't believe in the option of medication but you must always remember each to their own and what works for one person may not work for the next.
Remember this is Jas and Vic's journey and this does not mean that your journey will be or should be the same.

Hey everyone!
This episode is a bit different. This is Natalie's story.
Fall into conversation with Natalie and I, friends for over 20 years. We literally just had a conversation about the fact that Natalie was brought up in a single parent household. We realised that being friends for so long there are just some things we grow with but didn't actually ever speak on therefore, we never really understand how we felt at the time or how it has affected us.
It just so happens we decided to record.
Thanks for listening!
This isn't to say this is the experience of those from a single parent household. This is based on Natalie's experience, always remember to each their own.
Hey everyone! Thanks for tuning into another episode. Hmmm, this episode made us all go home and rethink our spending habits! Fall into conversation with us about our views on adulting, spending habits and debt! As always, you can find @fallintoconversation on socials and if you have any questions reach out via DM or fallintoconversation@gmail.com !
Hi everyone. And I'm back with another episode. The first episode of 2022! In this episode I am joined with Laura Clark who decided to freeze her eggs. In this episode she gives us insight into her journey and the process of egg freezing. Laura touches on why she decided to freeze her eggs, dating whilst freezing her eggs and the process of injecting, extraction and much more! A reminder that this is based on Laura's views and her experiences. As always you should do your own research and not expect the same or similar outcomes as those discussed during this episode. We hope you enjoy this episode and don't forget to follow on instagram @fallintoconversation! It's been a while! They say consistency is key but consistency isn't the bag right now.
It's been a lot but thanks to everyone for the continued support and concern for the next episode :').
We made it into the studio for this one! We, being, Heather, Jade, Nate and myself!
In this episode I gave my guests the opportunity to bring the topics they wanted to discuss to the table.
This included the infamous question of "Whose leg is that?"- HONESTLY.
We also discuss when you should/if you should have to 'mark your territory' in a relationship?
Should you flirt with other people when you are in a relationship?
Dating someone who is not body confident.
Do body confidence issues start from home?
....and more!
Tune in and let us know what you think!
Hi everyone.
I'm back with another episode. I'm really sorry that this has taken a long time, shout out to everyone who reached out and said they needed a new episode. Hey everyone! It's been a couple of months since my last episode however, if you listen to ep. 17 you will know that I went through a big life event that left me feeling a little lost. I wanted to pick up where I left off. In this episode, me and @hyphe_nate talk on heterosexual friendships, how we can be hypocrites and more. Tune in and let us know if you agree or disagree with anything we have said. We are defo on a road to learning and everyones opinion is their own. In the beginning of this episode you hear a clip from @neffyfrofro, I resonated with this statement so much since I had taken such a long break. Check out Laila's YouTube videos for vlogs and hair care tips! *P.S - permission was granted to use this clip. See you soon! Don't forget to leave a review on the Apple Podcasts app!
In part one of this episode, I catch up with Nathan (Nate) Marquel Mckenzie as he will soon introduce himself. Nathan has featured on the podcast previously in the 'Heartbreak and Mental Health' segments. He also appeared on IGTV with Natalie on 24th Jan talking about some of his virtual dating experiences.
In this episode, you get to know Nathan a bit better as we start off with an icebreaker. Nathan has his own company (founded with a friend) but also works another job where he is an employee.
We talk about how he manages to work both jobs, if he ever wanted to quit, and advice he would give to those who are thinking of giving up on their passion project. We also talk about him not having a consistent income when his side hustle became his main hustle after quitting his job and more!

It’s the last episode of the year and I thought why not bring back your guests from the most played episode of 2020.

All of them give us an update on where they are today, their worst date experience, advice to one another and discussion on situationships.
Please look out for a poll on socials on a Fall into Conversation ‘after-hours episode’ if you are interested.
Happy New Year Everyone!
Today we Fall into Conversation with Fatima Timbo also known as Fats. Fats was born with Dwarfism and in this episode, she speaks on her journey including, how living with Dwarfism affected her during school, friendships, relationships and much more. We hear about traumatic life events and how she overcame them! When it comes to Dwarfism, acceptable terminology varies from country to country and from culture to culture and is also dependent on the person so never assume. Such terms as Little People, a person of short stature or person with Dwarfism are considered acceptable.
If you haven't already, you can find Fatima on @fatstimbo on Instagram and Tiktok. Disclaimer: As we are all keeping safe during this pandemic, all recordings are taking place at home. Apologies for the sound quality.
In this episode, I Fall into Conversation with Sheila also known as Sitsofe. Sitsofe is a Holistic Dance Practitioner, that focuses on African dance forms as a healing modality. She is also the founder of Sitsofe Wellness, a company dedicated to promoting Wellness, mainly through movement.
In this episode, we talk about dealing with what Sitsofe describes as a dance with depression from a young age. We also converse on her upbringing and the learnings and lessons that came out of her journey.
If you would like to know more, you can find Sistofe on Instagram @sitsofewellness.
Disclaimer: As we are all keeping safe during this pandemic, all recordings are taking place at home. Apologies for the sound quality.
In this episode, I Fall into Conversation with Terence. Terence talks on his journey in relation to the exposure to alcohol at a young age, dealing with depression as a young black man whilst going through the loss of his father. Everyone deals with loss differently, however, some studies show that adults who experience early parental loss are more likely to experience depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. Disclaimer: As we are all keeping safe during this pandemic, all recordings are taking place at home. Apologies for the sound quality.
And I’m back with another episode! Episode 12, ‘I am not my hair’ is out now! I Fall into Conversation with Lauren. Lauren found out she had Alopecia when she was 15. ‘Alopecia means loss of hair or baldness. In the UK, alopecia areata is estimated to affect about 15 in 10,000 people. Most family doctors will have seen at least one case, and you probably know of a friend or family member who has had it. Alopecia areata can occur at any age but about half of cases come on in childhood and 80% of cases come on before the age of 40 years. Men and women are equally affected. The condition tends to be milder if it comes on at an older age.’ (Taken from patient.info) Lauren mentions it was one thing having Alopecia 15 years ago with fewer resources available but even more so as a black woman. There is a wealth of knowledge out there now and you are not alone. Check out @beautyinbald @blkwmn_alopecia @joyafteralopecia on Instagram. In this episode, I also mention @thisisplanted which has been showcasing great hair results. Planteds’ product INCHES can help with Alopecia as there are several ingredients included in the formula which help repair damaged (not dead, damaged) hair follicles. So if your hair follicles are still alive INCHES can help nurture them back to good health. (They ship worldwide) NHS: Losing hair can be upsetting. For many people, hair is an important part of who they are. If your hair loss is causing you distress, your GP may be able to help you get some counselling. You may also benefit from joining a support group, or speaking to other people in the same situation on online forums. Try online support groups such as @alopeciauk. Disclaimer: As we are all keeping safe during this pandemic, all recordings are taking place at home. Apologies for the sound quality.
We are back, with part 4 of lockdown chronicles. In this episode, I fall into conversation with twin sisters Natalie and Natasha. We have been friends since the age of four, and although we split for secondary school and Uni, 26 years later we have remained really good friends (family more like).
Natasha has over 8-years of experience working in the Financial Services industry and Natalie has over 8 years of experience working in Childcare.
They had very different lockdown journeys and we talk about just that. We talk on lockdown with two parents at home with a 2 year versus dating virtually (and ending up in a relationship) during lockdown. We also chat on whether the romance was kept alive during lockdown versus the honeymoon period and more.
Natalie featured in episode 2, 'Heartbreak and Mental health', and Natasha featured in episode 2, 'The Early Years'.

In this episode of Lockdown Chronicles, I fall into conversation with my boyfriend Joe. We've been together for 5 years and moved in together at the back end of 2017. We talk about what was difficult for us as individuals and also as a couple during Lockdown. We also talk on his furlough experience and end on a couple of card pulls. Joe also featured on the 'Men x Mental Health' episode. Check it out! Don't forget to leave us a review and follow @fallintoconversation on Instagram.
As you know Lockdown Chronicles is a little different from our other titles. These minisodes are a little more light-hearted, and simply falling into conversation. In this episode, I'm joined by Sophia who previously featured in episode 6, 'Social media in schools'. Sophia is an Engagement and outreach coordinator. Outside of this, she mentors, tutors, and works alongside at-risk students and their families. We've known each other since the age of 11. We talk about our lessons and learnings during the lockdown period. There are many health benefits around practicing gratitude, one being that practicing gratitude can increase one’s happiness. I pull out some gratitude cards to really get us thinking about things we are thankful for as-well-as recognising traits we like about ourselves. Sophia also springs an association game on me that doesn't quite go to plan. Disclaimer: As we are still trying to keep safe during this pandemic, the majority of recordings are still taking place at home. Please bear with us in relation to the fluctuation of sound quality.
This episode is a little bit different. I fall into conversation with Jade and Heather who both featured in episode 2 (Heartbreak and mental health). We reflect back on our time during lockdown. Tune in to hear what we learned, how it affected our work-life balance, our thinking process and key takeaways. Watch out for part two of 'Lockdown Chronicles' that will feature more guests from previous episodes. Enjoy! Disclaimer: As we are still trying to keep safe during this pandemic, the majority of recordings are still taking place at home. Please bear with us in relation to the fluctuation of sound quality.
Trigger Warning This episode contains stories of both physical and emotional abuse which some listeners may find distressing. In this episode, I fall into conversation with Chantel, Chenade, and Debra who have been in toxic relationships. To reiterate, we are not health professionals but these ladies decided to share their stories to offer a different perspective, in the hope to help and comfort someone who may be going through or knows someone going through a similar situation. Once they share their experiences, we talk on how they built themselves back up, why isn't it as simple as leaving, do they forgive their ex partner and more! If you are based in England and you have been affected by any of the issues raised in this episode, you can reach out to the National Domestic Abuse helpline. It’s a freephone 24-hour helpline but you can also contact them online or via live chat. You can also use this helpline if you are supporting a survivor. You can reach them on 0808 2000 247 or visit their website at nationaldahelpline.org.uk. Disclaimer: As we are all keeping safe during this pandemic, all recordings are taking place at home. Please bear with us in relation to sound quality.
In this episode, I fall into conversation with Sophia and Kemi. Sophia is an Engagement and outreach coordinator, mentor, and works alongside at-risk students and their families. Kemi is the founder of the Young Black Teachers Network (YBTN - you can find this on Instagram @ybtn_uk), the Head of Science and SENCO, and currently working on her Tedx Talk.
As we went to the same secondary school, we were able to reflect on some of the things we went through growing up vs the kids of today. We discuss the effects of social media on the kids of today, the difference of dial-up internet vs having the internet at your fingertips, the reaction of schools and students during the BLM movement, and more.
Disclaimer: As we are all keeping safe during this pandemic, all recordings are taking place at home. Please bear with us in relation to sound quality.
In this episode, I fall into conversation with Glynis and Tobi who were born disabled. Glynis is 31 and has Amniotic Band Syndrome. She only found out the name of her disability last year. Tobi 27, has Brittle Bones Disease, also known as osteogenesis imperfecta.
We talk on how their disability affects their day-to-day, making and keeping relationships, their aspirations, and more.
If you would like to follow their journeys you can find them on Instagram; Glynis - @glenthegreat7 and Tobi @toughcookietee.
Disclaimer: As we are all keeping safe during this pandemic, all recordings are taking place at home. Please bear with us in relation to sound quality.
In this extended episode, I fall into conversation with Michael, Richard, Gurd, and Joe about their views on mental health. There is still a lot of stigma around men not being able to open up and talk about their feelings. They discuss why they think this is, along with, coping mechanisms, the pressures from society to 'man up', male suicide rates, and even women's periods (don't ask just listen lol). Disclaimer: As we are all keeping safe during this pandemic, all recordings are taking place at home. Please bear with us in relation to sound quality.
In this episode, we fall into conversation with a lady who prefers not to be named. There are many studies out there that show that parental absenteeism can have long-lasting psychological effects on children. As this woman was raised by her dad, we discuss what it was like in school when other kids had questions. Was she able to talk to her dad about how she was feeling? Tune in to find out if she has been able to establish a relationship with her mum to date and much more. Disclaimer: As we are all keeping safe during this pandemic, all recordings are taking place at home. Please bear with us in relation to sound quality.
It’s often underestimated how breakups can either affect your mental health or change your behaviours. Everyone deals with breakups differently and that's completely fine and expected. In this episode, Natalie, Heather, Jade, and Nathan talk about past relationships and the after-effects on their growth and mental health.
Disclaimer: As we are all keeping safe during this pandemic, all recordings are taking place at home. Please bear with us in relation to sound quality.
In this episode, I caught up with Andrea and Natasha who both became mothers in 2018. Life changes such as having a child or getting married are common sources of stress. I thought it would be good to have this conversation for those in similar situations, but also just an overall insight and perspective based on their journeys. If you have any questions about this episode, reach out at fallintoconversation@gmail.com.
