Joe and Austin talk about the current state of Downtown Orlando and plans for the future that currently point to more parking spaces and little else to attract resident, tourists and visitors to downtown.
S2E048 - A 16-year-old black teen is shot twice in the head by an 80-something homeowner in Kansas City, Missouri. The teen was trying to pick up his younger twin brothers when he accidentally went to the wrong house and rang the doorbell. The homeowner shot him through the door and then went outside and put an extra bullet in his head as he lay motionless on the ground. Joe finds it hard to believe that this could be a legal shooting as it's not against the law the ring a doorbell and the second shot wasn't self-defense, but attempted murder.

While Joe opposes the death penalty in all other cases, the singular exception is for treason, as it's the crime that victimizes all 330M American citizens.
S2E045 - Agents from the Florida Wildlife Commission make an unannounced raid on a Florida reptile farm and proceed to kill nearly 40 snakes housed there, including a perfectly legal pregnant boa. Joe shares the story of the two times he was bitten by a 11-foot Burmese python.

S2E022 - A southern lawmaker wants to implement a so-called "Yankee Tax" for anyone relocating to the state from outside the state. Plus, a new bill in the FL legislature would essentially outlaw the Democratic Party. And you've got a great chance of getting away with murder in the US today. Murderers in America have a 50-percent chance of getting away with it as homicide clearance rates have dipped to just 50-percent from a high of 71-percent in 1980.
S2E021 - Dilbert comic creator Scott Adams sabotages his career by expressing his racist thoughts about black Americans. While we've not heard Adams comments played on any newscasts or programs, Joe was adamant that his audience was going to hear the full extent of Adams' bigotry and hatred.

This report comes out the same day we learn that a Florida reporter from First Coast News was caught on a hot mic during a Ron DeSantis news conference today telling a colleague that her job is NOT about finding the truth, but about making DeSantis "uncomfortable."
S2E015 - Jacksonville outlaws panhandling in most circumstances; two men in two separate cases are freed from prison after their respective convictions were overturned, but not only both spend more than 20 years each behind bars. Lastly, a Democrat Congresswoman who was attacked in her DC apartment building this week now wants harsher penalties for violent criminals after previously voting for reduced sentences for violent criminals.
With another mass shooting overnight in Michigan, Joe discusses what can/should be done to reduce the frequency of deadly mass shootings in the US.

Ep. 236 - In support of gay marriage - The US just passed a bill codifying same-sex and interracial marriage in the United States. Joe argues that since gay couples can adopt children and buy property together, they need the protections that come with marriage or a civil union. Joe advocates for gay couples to get married in the eyes of the state, but cannot marry in a church unless that church's faith expressly permits it.

Ep. 229 - A married couple commits dual suicide after the husband's doctor was arrested and the husband was no longer able to get the pain relievers he needed. The husband had been electrocuted for 15 minutes with high voltage electricity and suffered debilitating pain and migraines. Without the fentanyl prescription, the husband and wife felt they had no choice but to kill themselves. Joe shares his own chronic pain experience in this episode.
