Rick & Joe get crazy on this Mega Pedalboard filled with Electro-Harmonix effects pedals. They use a Fender '68 Reissue Vibrolux for the amplifier, and yes, they do turn them all on at the same time! Boosts, Overdrives, Distortions, and Fuzzes, oh my! Joe & Rick demonstrate some of the various types of drives found throughout Effects Pedal Land. Hopefully this will help you find which type of drive you need to build your guitar tone! This is a followup to our Deluxe MemoryMan video in which we noticed a few issues with the vintage 70's Electro-Harmonix Deluxe MemoryMan. We contacted the original designer of the DMM, Howard "Mick" Davis, and asked if he could fix the pedal for us. We shipped it up to NY, and after he fixed the Clock Alignment and Power Supply Circuitry, the pedal is noticeably better sounding than before. We're running these pedals into a Dr. Z Carmen Ghia, and patched them together using Hosa CFP cables.
We found a vintage Deluxe Memory Man from the '70s hiding in the basement and decided to put it up against a Deluxe Memory Man from the '90s, and a current generation DMM. The vintage pedals has some noise to it, but it still works! Joe hooks up every Big Muff we currently have in the store, with the goal of helping you decide which one (or two) belongs on your pedalboard. He ran the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi, Nano Big Muff Pi, Green Russian Big Muff Pi, Op-Amp Big Muff Pi, and the RYRA Tri-Pi Muff into a Fender '65 Reissue Deluxe Reverb, while playing a 2018 Gibson Faded SG.
We know this video has been done over and over and over again and again on other Channels, so Rick & Joe decided why not do another Tube Screamer Shootout. Ibanez TS808, RYRA The 808, Way Huge Green Rhino, Ibanez TS9, Ibanez TS Mini, MXR GT-OD, Electro-Harmonix East River Drive, Boss OD-1w, all running through a Dr. Z Carmen Ghia 18w amp. We used a Sennheiser e609 and did not add any eq or compression in Logic Pro X.
