Three Agents of Faith The sick or infirmed; the two blind men in Matthew 9. An intermediary; the Centurion for his servant in Matthew 8. The ministering ones; apostles contrasted to Jesus in Luke 9.
Promise: The Church is to advance, and it’s authority and force is greater than Satan’s realm. • the gates of Hell will not be stronger (E.V. Rieu) • the gates of Hell will not hold out against her (Berkeley) • the might of Hades will not triumph over it (R.F.Weymouth) • the gates of hell will not be able to keep it out (The Message) • even the gates of death will not withstand her (F.D. Questions from Today: Am I saved and do I confidently understand and know how to present the true gospel of God for salvation? Am I obstinately persistent in growing in the spiritual formations of teaching, fellowship, worship, and prayer? Do I hunger to be awed by God and His presence and have a passion to see God demonstrate His supernatural power in and through our church family at HF? Will I commit myself to a selfless togetherness and unity (vs. independence) and generously give of myself and my resources to advance God’s kingdom work in and through HF? Will I make corporate worship gatherings and small groups a priority in my life to cultivate God-designed relationships and a biblically functioning community at HF? Will I increasingly live in radical obedience to God while conscious of living to have favor with people? Will I renew my commitment to see people enter a relationship with Jesus Christ in salvation?
SUMMARY A new era; the Last Days, (Holy Spirit and The Church), Jesus Christ is central, God credentialed Jesus of Nazareth, Jesus put to death (people’s sin), in His sinlessness He resurrected conquering the power of sin and death, God exalted Jesus to His right hand, making Jesus both Lord (deity) and Christ (messiah), Recognize being responsible for Jesus’s death, repent, and declare to be a follower of Jesus (accomplished in baptism), For whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved!
