Welcome to the Plant Based Academy Podcast, where Nikki and Zuzana share simple steps and building blocks for true health and lasting well-being. Together let’s explore a better path that leads to a healthy future for people and the planet. The liver is one of the organs that doesn’t get the attention that it deserves. We don’t give it the credit for all the jobs and functions it has to perform for us every single day and almost all health conditions (either physical or emotional,), beauty problems and premature aging are closely linked with the declined liver.

Many of us fear disease. Just take a look at the world right now. Many people are living in fear. Fear of becoming ill, or their loved ones becoming ill.
We are afraid of disease, and the consequences it would have on our lives if we get ill.
Yet majority of people have very little understanding of how the human body functions and what actually causes disease. So if we want to understand how to be healthy, it's important and very helpful to understand what causes disease. If we understand it, there is less chance that we will fear it.

Understanding what intuition is and learning to use as a part of our lives can be very powerful! We all have a natural capacity for intuition, but often social conditioning and formal education work against it. Most of us are taught to ignore our gut feelings and instincts rather than to understand and use them as a foundation for personal growth and development―and in the process, we undermine the very roots of the innate wisdom that is meant to guide us towards manifesting our desires and true happiness.
In this episode, Nikki and Zuzana identify exactly what intuition is and offer suggestions for how to tap into this amazing guiding system we all have within us.

In this episode, I got to chat with Cara Carin Cifelli as she shares her passion for helping women (and men) heal their relationship with food and their body image.
We talked about the "four bodies" and Cara breaks down what each body looks (feels) like and the ways we can recognize if we are out of balance, and if we are, how to we can realign ourselves.
This conversation leads us to “anti-diet” and talking about the relationship we can cultivate with food so it can nourish us rather than bombard us and makes us feel like prisoners. Through that conversation, Cara gets vulnerable and shares her personal experience with food and how she healed her relationship with it.
