I used to romanticize the lives of drunken writers like Charles Bukowski so I would drink and either read poetry or try to write it at some point during my binges. Here is Charles Bukowski’s “Are you Drinking?”, and then a couple of poems I wrote. “A Glimpse” and “Roosevelt (Hold On)”
The ongoing dispute of the Arab-Israeli conflict has been long untouched in mainstream American politics. Times are changing. As new voices are being heard, old and unguided rhetoric stands in its way.
