In a surprise that wasn't, Gov. Andrew Cuomo revealed on Feb 5, 2019, that New York State had lost $2.3 billion in tax revenues. A culmination of the efforts to enforce the path to a Progressive capital in the nation. The 2019 NY State of the State Address left a lot to be desired for anyone outside the small elitist circle of Democrat Socialists. Nixon also had a lot to say about the 2018 Governor race in her debate with Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Well actually it's all racism, and hating the poor, and the solution is Socialism. A debate worth listening too just for the insults flying back and forth. But I won't leave out the raw numbers on the recent Siena poll of the NY-22 race between Anthony Brindisi and incumbent Congresswoman Claudia Tenney. On WNBF it was the success of summer and on-going efforts of Adopt-A-Park. At the 14 minute mark the episode addresses the Vegas shooting and gun control. It's amazing how hyper political even sharing a meme can be today. But at the same time, there is a void of attention to actual politics that will affect lives for years to come. This episode looks at both of these things. Your comments are welcome.

Trump, but because of the propaganda and zombie partisanship that is taking place. It's an issue that needs to be addressed first, as the nation resets its political agenda for the next 4 years.
Lots of life changes going on, sorry for the delay. With that said, this episode we discuss flag burning. Not just the American flag either. Based off of conversations on social media and in person, we decided to take on this issue. Things get a bit excited in this episode, but with the 2016 elections just a week away how can you blame us. Wikileaks and revelations about the DNC abound. The impact on down-ballot races is apparent. But most of all, the rank-and-file vote is pre-eminent in everything happening. Corruption cannot exist where well informed voters reside.

Of course the main issue in politics for most people is the 2016 Presidential race, be we look at a few different aspects of that race in this episode. In addition we consider the ramification of who chooses the next 1-3 Supreme Court Justices and how it may effect the nation for generations. Lastly we touch on the trend in politics (at all levels and Parties) to promote rumor and personal vendettas at the expense of voters (which may confirm why some consider me the dragon of the Southern Tier).

This podcast goes into thoughts on the reluctance of some to address the bombs in New York City and New Jersey as a terrorist act. Why? Is it economics? Politics?
We then address a somewhat related subject of immigration - legal, illegal and refugees. We talk about the problems of the system, the crimes involved, and the curious need to focus on Syrian refugees as opposed to say Darfur refugees.
For a totally different final segment we then discussed our thoughts about the Americans for Restoring the Constitution (AFRTC) Vestal NY Candidate Forum. We highlight the differences from the Tabernacle United Methodist Candidate Forum from the week prior. We also hit on some of the noteworthy responses to questions in addition to who did not appear at the event.
Sharon Ball (State Senate candidate) rescheduled, Kim Myers and Martin Babinec (both running for the NY-22) abandoned the public, as did Debbie Preston (incumbent Broome County Executive). Libertarian Alex Merced will respond to questions via Youtube, and Wendy Long (both are running against Sen. Schumer) will also seek to respond in a similar manner.
With the national focus firmly planted on tangents to the 2016 presidential election, namely Huma Abedin and her Twitter challenged soon to be former husband Anthony Weiner, we look at what is important and NOT being covered. Things like the current push to ingrain (New York) State government and unions into charter schools. Or the latest ploy to convince the American public that the TPP must be passed, all evidence that it is bad for the nation be damned. Of course we cannot miss the perfect example that is the Maine = Endwell Little League team, and their efforts to do so much more than just participate.

Where Black Lives Matter (BLM) goes, there are no positives that follow. It's an opinion and it is explained in this episode.
This episode starts off with a speech from July 23, 2016. Michael Vasquez was one of the features speakers at the pro-2nd Amendment, anti-SAFE Act rally in Norwich, NY. Additional speakers included County Executive Rob Astorino, Wendy Long, Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney, Assemblyman Bill Nojay, and State Senator Fred Akshar.
We also discuss how the major news media mainly ignored the event, with one news station doing selective editing at the event and Fox40 nearly missing the entire event. A true disservice to the public, and we admonish them for it.
But the final segment discusses the Back the Blue event in Binghamton, NY on July 25, 2016. Held at the Binghamton City Hall, the annual event brought together some 200 politicians and members of the community - even some from Tioga and Chenango Counties - in a display of support for the police and the work they do. We also address the feeble attempt by Black Lives Matter to protest against the police.

We were able to attend the WSKG debate sponsored by the League of Women Voters at the last minute, and we discuss some of what happened at the debate and personally after the debate.It was a quite telling display of the character of candidates Geoege Phillips and Steve Wells.
We also wanted to discuss a bit about how disingenuous the gun ban proposals are. How they would be considered racial profiling if this was about people, and how it is designed to not make the pubic safer - if emotion is removed from the discussion and the facts are reviewed.

Not surprisingly the protest was made up of Citizen Action, Working Families Party, Liberal and Progressive members (just like when the Occupy Binghamton protest came to town in 2011).
