He is originally from Israel but has been living in Amsterdam since 2005. Married to Dr. Lena Knappert-Engel (VU Amsterdam) and father to Milan Engel.
Last year, Yuval received a prestigious grant from the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) to study diversity debt in startups.
