Samuel the Lamanite stood on the city wall - came to warn the people, repentance was his call!
Faith like Nephi's is built over long periods of time. With action everyday, everyday, everyday.
Faith comes before miracles - without faith, you may miss the miracles in front of your face! Focus on the Lord and what matters most.
Can the still small voice be heard by a nation with rampant secret combinations?
sidenote: I could have made my monologue about chapter 6 about 4 hours long. I kept it brief because I love you all!
From Amish to member of The Church: How the Plan of Salvation helped one man on his journey.
A second episode because Alma and Amulek are boss! What is the seed? How do we plant it? How do we nurture it?
Bianca joins the show and, as always, brings a powerful testimony and amazing insights.

Every character in these chapters offers rich lessons - Ammon, Aaron, Lamoni (and his dad), Abish, and more!
Coming in all the way from Guam - meet Leann. We discuss the trials of life and how they can benefit us and those around us.
Our trials refine us, but the promises of the Lord are sure and we can always turn to Christ!
Alma and Amulek teach the Plan of Salvation BEAUTIFULLY! The Lord supports us through challenging times.
The Book of Mormon was written for OUR day. For us and our problems, our challenges, our society.

Think your life is turned upside down by social distancing and quarantining? Try being on a mission, being told all foreign missionaries are evacuating (but they don't know how or when), and flying home 15 months sooner than you expected!
Elder Law shares insights and the power of the Book of Mormon
This week, my mind was caught up on how important it is to hear the word of the prophets, follow the word of the prophets, and prepare to do both.
I share the dangers of rejecting the prophet and the blessings of hearkening unto his/their words. When we prepare to hear the prophet we will "hear Him" (The Savior)
We bless our lives and others by following the prophet.
Light at the end of the tunnel. Let's join together in fast and prayer. As we do we WILL see mighty miracles.

Full of words
Full of the Spirit
Full of Christ!!

A quick note and invitation about the upcoming General Conference. Our world is CRAZY - we don't have to be.
Jacob is a great steward and minister - someone who truly loves and cares about the well-being of those whom he serves. To love others as yourself is to care about their well-being and want the best for them.
Jacob teaches the dangers of pride, love of money, and sexual sin. He testifies that the Atonement is for the sinner and for those who are pierced with deep wounds by the sins of others.
Jarrett and Kenny chat with Jason Smith. The discussion includes faith, the doctrine of Christ, following the prophet, and more!
Nephi's final testimony of the Doctrine of Christ. Just like his father, Lehi, Nephi has a chance to leave parting words to his family and people. What he chooses to conclude his record with is a beautiful testimony of Christ and the "plainness" of the gospel.
Pray always.
Endure to the End.
Stay by the tree!
Nephi warns of latter-day dangers and how we can avoid the snares of Satan. The Gospel is free for all to partake. By partaking of the Gospel we become a part of the Covenant people (House of Israel) and therefore the promises of the Lord are unto us! (remember all the things Isaiah said about those promise and gathering!?)
Jarrett talks with Lexi Brereton. Lexi is a recently returned RM who is full of joy and the light of the Gospel. Lexi's childhood was somewhat tumultuous and yet she has found peace and joy through the Gospel.
The words of Isaiah are great!
Some notes on how to understand Isaiah:
Southern Kingdom: Judah and Benjamin - Son of David - Ahaz - Jerusalem
Northern Kingdom: 10 Tribes - Ephraim - Pekah (Remaliah's son) - Samaria
Syria - Rezin - Rezin
Lions and Tigers and Isaiah! Oh my!
Jacob, with the help of Isaiah, beautifully explains how the promise of the Lord to gather scattered Israel will be fulfilled. He uses this promise to give his people (and us!) hope! Christ is the Holy One of Israel who has defeated that great monster, death and hell!
Joy and happiness are the rewards for the Covenant people of the Lord.
When technology strikes and your "bow breaks!"

A loving parent teaches and blesses his family before departing earth. Why is there opposition in all things? Why did Lehi behold the Glory of the Lord and how can we likewise behold the Glory of the Lord and be encircled about in the arms of his love?
Why are Laman and Lemuel such haters? What is prospering and what does it look like? How can we live after the manner of happiness?
These questions and more are discussed in this week's episode.
We sit down this week with Kat and Reed Seamons and discuss their life following Come Follow Me and how it is blessing their family. As we read this week in the Boom of Mormon about Nephi’s trials in the wilderness, Kat and Reed share about their trials with infertility, suicide, and addiction with family members and a family member who died defending the Book of Mormon. They also share the blessings of adoption, how “likening” the scriptures to their own lives, patriarchal blessing, the priesthood and prayer helped sustain them and their family.
Jarrett discusses the remainder of Lehi and his family's journey to the wilderness. An in-depth discussion on trial, pain, growth and the spirit. The journey through the wilderness is an allegory of sorts for our journey through mortality. Following the Liahona (the Spirit), keeps us in the fertile parts of the wilderness.
Isaiah chapters are hard but worth it! Nephi helps teach the words of Isaiah. How do they relate to us? We are a covenant people - THE covenant people. The Lord will redeem and remember His people.
Listen in as Jarrett chats with Bianca Lisonbee. Bianca discusses the importance of the restoration of plain and precious truths through the Book of Mormon, what her life would be like without those truths, and shares her conversion story.
Bianca is a devoted wife and mother, but she is, above all, a devoted disciple of Christ who has spent years serving missions and in other callings and capacities.
A discussion of Nephi's vision and its meaning. The purpose of miracles, deliverance, and the power of the Lord in our lives. The importance of covenants in our life as it pertains to power, hope, and faith.
Be like Nephi (Nephi didn't know everything and he got sad so it's ok if you don't know everything and feel sad too!)
Also, Jesus wins in the end.
Kenny sits down with long-time friend and mission companion James Abbott and discusses balancing a busy life as a young father, living the gospel, and leading his family of four - all the while working as a Director at his job, pursuing an MBA, and serving in many callings such as an Elders Quorum President, Counselor in the Bishopric, and now Stake Executive Secretary. We share some fun memories from our mission and talk about Lehi's vision, how he leads his family, and the different blessings they see from studying daily from Come Follow Me, making the Holy Ghost the priority teacher when learning, making covenants, humility, repenting about how Come Follow Me has been a great blessing for him and his family.
Lehi has a dream to bless his family. Join the study and discussion of Lehi's dream as it relates to his family and to us in 2020. Jarrett Discusses the omnipotence, omniscience, and all-loving nature of God. The relationship between chastening, love, testimony, and conversion are discussed.
Jarrett and Kenny are joined by entrepreneur, author, husband, father, and devoted disciple Scott Schwab. I sit down with Kenny Nielsen (co-host of the interview side of the podcast) to discuss how Come Follow Me blessed his family in 2019. We discuss questions like what would his life be like without the Book of Mormon? How will he and his family be studying Come Follow Me in 2020? We talk about everything from challenges to successes with Come Follow Me with a busy, young family.
