Why is it called the 320 club? Well, 420 was already taken, and happy hour is happening somewhere else. We are your hosts: Whisky and Rocks, and our aim is to reveal, discuss (sometimes disagree) and in the end provide insight and inspiration into all of the issues that likely impact you as a fellow tax paying citizen. All are welcome; come for a dram, a listen, perhaps even a chuckle, and maybe you'll even learn a thing or two.
This week we used the CUPE protest against the Ontario Government as a springboard toward the larger topic of economic issues we face within Canada, namely Inflation, recession, etc. Hopefully we've broken things down in a way that makes sense which means it'll probably make you mad. For steadfast listeners of the podcast, you may have noticed that the last published episode kind of ended on a cliff hanger, and a lot of it had to do with how our own government has handled populist opposition. Well this episode is the direct follow up and tries to address some of the "Opportunities" available to the Canadian people in order to help foster good government. Enjoy!

This episode is a continuation of the 4-hour long conversation Cognac and I had on March 26th. We do a pretty deep dive on Ukraine in this episode; hence the title. We discussed the history, the horrors and the humour of 21st century conventional warfare. We also had some gripes about corporate media, the Oscars (no, we didn't talk about this particular Oscar event because it wouldn't happen for another 24 hours) and talked a little bit about Art and Comedy with Bo Burnham's pandemic special. In this episode I'm joined again by Cognac, we basically did a lightning round of banter from inflation to Canadian Politics, Disgruntled employees, and I had the painful pleasure of explaining how many Spider-people there are.

So! We've been away for a while! Like how we ended that last episode on a cliff hanger? Waiting for part 2? Hmm? Well, I guess you could say we've taken a rather long summer hiatus, and now we're starting up a new season of the show? I would say that's my story and I'm sticking to it, but honestly…

This episode of the podcast was recorded on Friday the 7th of May, and we brought back a very special guest; as you can guess by the title of the episode, RichJames has returned to tell us tales from the classrooms. It's been little over a year since the initial lockdowns took place in earnest, so it's interesting to see how our teachers and young kids are doing both in a virtual and physical learning environment. So without further ado--oh, and this is going to be a two parter btw - the first part will involve the actual goings on in the classrooms as told by Rich James, and in Part II, our Comic relief will join us to discuss the philosophy of education. Enjoy!

After a long hiatus, we're back! The microphone is on, the topics are hot, and we have not ONE, but TWO returning guests to join us for the spring madness. During part one we discuss twerking and formal ceremonies, the new Team Canada & Team USA Olympic uniforms, and close it off with discussion on Formula 1, given that the Italian Grand Prix took place this past weekend (and what an exciting race it was!).

Whisky, Rocks and Cognac are starting up in the new year for a brand new episode! Consider this episode to be our wrap up of 2020, but also an introductory discussion on the current state of American politics, which we'll expand on a bit more during a future "Wee Dram" to compliment this episode.
In this episode we engaged in mostly small talk, until Whisky brought up an article he read about how some people are being born without wisdom teeth, and we went off to the races from there. Speaking of races, while Whisky had to deal with his adorable kids Cognac and Rocks took some time to discuss the most recent Formula 1 Race that took place the weekend before. Rocks having zero understanding of high performance racing made sure to keep things interesting.

This episode of the podcast was recorded on the 3rd of September, just in time for our little minions to go back to school during the year of the Corona. We discussed life in our education system now that our provincial government and the school boards have had some time to plan and prepare to receive students while the pandemic still rages on. We discussed the impacts on students and teachers, and the parents as well who have to navigate through this undiscovered territory, and quite frankly it was a highly productive discussion. Got another couple of Wee Drams for you; this one is just a two-parter, but you can consider these to be the epilogue to episode 41 as they were recorded immediately after on 18 April.
The musical selection taken for this series of Wee Drams is the "Peer Gynt" suite by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. Peer Gynt is a five-act play in verse by the Norwegian dramatist Henrik Ibsen. It has also been described as the story of a life based on procrastination and avoidance; Something which Rocks can certainly relate to. Enjoy!

Okay, so you may have noticed by the title that I've taken a quote from a rather famous book called "the Heart of Darkness" published in 1899 by Joseph Conrad. Our podcast has almost nothing to do with the literary work, but through the editing process I couldn't help but notice that we shared a common theme of the slow descent into insanity. At least, Whisky did.
Content drops have been a bit slow as of late given that I've been in the process of moving for the last week. We still recorded a few episodes over the past couple of weeks, they're just taking a little more time to get published. All this to say you may notice that some of the info is a bit outdated, but still relevant. Enjoy!

Okay, so theres a lot going on with the yanks lately, and we'll get to that soon enough. I'll give you a bit of an appetizer with a couple of drams we made about 2 weeks ago after we recorded episode 40. Think of it as context for what's going on now where citizens are literally being told to inject bleach into their bodies by the goblin they voted for.
As a reminder, our "Wee Dram" series consists of a conversation usually recorded after a main episode, which we divide up into bite sized chunks. I'm calling this series "Hoe Down" as a good chunk of the conversation was oriented around our neighbours to the south. And what would a good Hoedown be without the musical interludes of Aaron Copeland (you'll hear it at the end of each dram and I'll include a link in the show notes). We're sorry Mr. Copeland that your fine compositional talents had to be associated with the state that your country is in for our entertainment, but there 'ain't no business like show business'. That said if the pendulum begins to swing back toward reason, your music will serve as an excellent homage to that effort. Without further adieu, please enjoy our Wee Dram series: Hoe Down.

So we know that the 3M news is about a week and a half old now, however Whisky had some good insight into what was likely really going on from a business perspective. Rocks started the episode off a little angry, but we progressed and took the discussion from there and delved into the topic of fear under the current circumstances, and how emotional thinking can lead to self-fulfilling prophecy. It is, in my opinion one of our best episodes recorded with just good ole' Rocks and Whisky, even if much of it was at Rocks' expense. With the learning experience in mind and up front, we hope you enjoy the show.

Alright, so I'm going to do this at the beginning of the episode, vice the end. This is the third and final installment of The 320 Int'l Crisis Centre; hope you've enjoyed these small tidbits as much as I have editing them.
You also may have noticed I've been on a classical kick for this particular run. The music you've been hearing at the end of each dram is a tune by Rossini called Il barbiere di Siviglia, or the Barber of Seville. It's one of the most familiar of the acts.
Anyway, Don't forget to like and subscribe to our podcast wherever you get your weekly dose of whisky and rocks; whether it's Spotify, Stitcher, iTunes, Google Play, or wherever you get your podcasts.
The 320 Int'l Crisis Centre, no. 2
These drams were recorded after we recorded episode 39 - Don't Waste a Good Crisis. Topics were kind of all over the place so I'm calling this particular series "The 320 Int'l Crisis Centre" and involved myself, Whisky, Gin and Cognac. Disclaimer: This is not an actual crisis centre but because we were all rather innebriated by this point in our recording, it may make you feel better. Subjects include blaming Millenials, comparing Healthcare systems, investment and how Whisky looks like Kiefer Sutherland.
Apologies for the poor sound quality in certain parts, we were doing video conferencing on skype instead of just audio, which may have made it sound somewhat more choppy in parts.
Enjoy!

In this episode we continue our discussion on COVID-19 and turn our focus towards the UK, and discuss matters such as the totally unsurprising consequences of Boris Johnson's eagerness to shake everyone's hand. This time, we were privileged enough to have a ground floor perspective on the goings on in our once-colonial overlords. Please welcome our first International Guest, "Gin"!

Part II COVID & Climate Change (cont'd) Impacts on small businesses Working from Home is not a net positive
This wee dram was recorded immediately in the aftermath of episode 38 - I Came, I Saw, I Coughed. The excitement from the COVID-19 pandemic kept the conversation flowing, although I think Whisky got tired of the infants that Cognac and I had become to this point. Being cooped up does funny things to you. Oh well, enjoy!
Topics Covered: Donating Blood Amidst the COVID Crisis Whisky's Preparedness Level COVID & Climate Change
In this episode we've continued our coverage of COVID-19. We discussed the Last Week Tonight episode, the Washington Post article blaming China, the suddenly silent Anti-vaxxers, and Mrs. Rocks provides advice for parents who now have their children from any time between three weeks and three months. We finished off talking about the business impacts and whether or not Rocks can garden. Enjoy!

Okay so, we've obviously gotta talk about the thing that is on everyone's mind: the Coronavirus, or COVID-19. A virus so fast that we didn't have enough time to give it a proper name like SARS or MERS, we just gave it a file number. Unfortunately whisky couldn't make it, so I was joined by my good friend Cognac.
Just a heads up: If you've come here to validate your actions after buying enough toilet paper to make Solomon blush, you've come to the wrong place; likewise if you think we're not going to take this virus seriously, you've also come to the wrong place, cause we certainly do.
What you should come here for is a little rest; perhaps some levity over this whole crisis. We had a good laugh about it, but we also acknowledged as many facts that we have been made aware of to date and we had some good discussion over it. Enjoy, and stay safe out there everyone!

As you can see by our silly attempt at alliteration in the title of this episode, in this episode we decided to go for a twofer topic: First with the Coronavirus, or now known specifically as the COVID-19 virus, then we transitioned into the Wet'suwet'en protests and compared them with the ongoing Ontario Teachers' Strike, enjoy!

In this episode we gave up on trying to talk about all the nonsense, noise and crap that is going on in the world and instead talked about something that we're sure we can all get behind: Coffee! We talk about different types of coffee, restaurant brands famous for their peddling of the black bean, and even Cat turds! The heaviest thus far; quick disclaimer, some of the discussion in this particular segment may be sensitive to some listeners.
Topics are starting to get a little heavier in this one, including rights for women, human trafficking, and discussion about the second world war and how we teach kids.
What we've got for you this week is another couple of Wee Drams with myself and Cognac. We recorded these back in June of last year, after our 25th episode titled "Hatred", but I still think they can be somewhat timeless. We're calling these samples: "Debating with a Neophyte". You'll figure out over time that the Neophyte is not always the same person….but it's usually me. This first one starts off pretty light with a healthy discussion about Star Wars. Enjoy!
The Teachers of Ontario Strike Back! Some listeners will already know Whisky's stance on the whole Ontario education system, but this time we brought an ACTUAL teacher to school us on what is happening from a grass roots perspective. If you were previously anti Teachers' Union before, this special guest brought a lot of great insight and may just change your opinion. As well, we're starting to build a Spotify playlist which you can follow if you're interested. Enjoy!

This episode was a follow-up to episode 31; we discussed the Australia Fires; Iran, Iraq, Ukraine, and the US; but then we started getting side-tracked like most of modern news media and started chasing squirrels again. We think Whisky is starting to drink too much of his own product because by the time we hit an hour, it started to get a bit messy.

Apologies for the confusion but there's a couple things you should know before listening. First, this episode was recorded post episode 29 with Dr. Green. Secondly, it was originally intended to be a "Wee Dram" episode, but it ended up being the perfect length so we just made it a standalone. We ironically called it "Critical Thinking" but we spent more time discussing our usual topic on business and bureaucracy. Confused? So are we! Who cares! Enjoy!

We're back! We've been away for a while, but we're back! Real life got in the way, but you'll hear the explanation at the beginning of the episode. This episode we were thinking of doing a recap of stuff we missed over the last 5 months, but it ended up being an impromptu discussion on everything from Taylor Swift, to the Merits of Foreign Aid, to "What would the Queen say about the state of today's politicians". Oh and Rocks basically points out that East Germany was an economic powerhouse. Have fun with that one, cause we sure did. We also brought a returning guest back on the show, Cognac!

In this episode we talked about religion and fitness gyms; Rocks being chased by a bear; Cars, highways & blocked intersections; lying and deceiving homebuyers; and our first attempt at listener feedback! What do these things have in common? #MeFirst. Our attempt to pick apart a phenomenon we've noticed about people who have almost zero awareness of anything other than themselves.
The good news is we got one listener who provided feedback, which was one more than we were expecting! The bad news is we were barely able to get into it in any detail, so the even better news is that we get to discuss it during a part two!
For now, we hope you enjoy this episode.
This part two of our episode called "A Canadian Space Odyssey" with very special guest: Dr. Green. In this episode we went moreso into the science fiction aspects: we talked about movies and television, and at that point Whisky started breaking out the moon shine. Enjoy!

In this very special episode, we brought along a very special guest; please welcome Dr. Green! Dr. Green has some very interesting connections with the Canadian Space Program, and so that became our topic of discussion this week! We had such a great time chatting that we ended up with a two parter, so stay tuned for part two next week. This episode focused primarily on space exploration in general, but we also spoke about technological applications associated with exploration, as well as personalities associated with the topic such as Chris Hadfield, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Elon Musk, Carl Sagan, etc. Some how our conversation wound up in the territory of American politics, but don't worry, we'll bring it back into the realm of science fiction next week.
This week we also enjoyed a special 18 yr old Auchentoshan. Highly recommended for you Whisky connoisseurs out there.
For those of you who haven't found our Facebook page, included is our link, where we have a special challenge going out to our listeners regarding an episode we intend to release in the coming weeks.

In this episode we found a way to avoid our wives by finding a third location while simultaneously helping out a friend. We recorded this episode on Canada Day at 12:14 AM, and surprisingly we were sober for the occasion! Although you might consider this a 'Canada Day' episode, we had almost zero discussion about Canada, and instead took the time to talk about super heroes, cause that's what you do when you're overtired! Enjoy!

In this episode we talk about lawyers and contracts. We got into a bit of a disagreement over the purpose of lawyers; Rocks thinks they're soul-sucking gremlins who've created a language that only benefits them and Whisky thinks none of those things. We also talk about a couple consumer advocacy groups that may help people out there who are hesitant to enter into any contracts or who are already going through some headaches.
Whisky's Tennets: 1. Once is an anomaly; 2. Twice is concerning; 3. Thrice is a pattern. At the same time, we decided to make Brandy! Listen to Whisky as he separates Heads, Hearts and Tails of homemade wine in order to make Brandy.

This episode was recorded in the aftermath of The Christchurch shooting that took place in New Zealand, but it stands as a larger discussion on Hatred. Why do we hate? What purpose does it serve? Whether it is long, enduring hatred like that found in the Baltics--the kind of religious hatred that is passed down from generation to generation--or competitive animosity like that found between Coke vs. Pepsi, PC vs Mac, or fan clubs of sports teams, it appears that we need an opponent to compete against, or an enemy to protect ourselves from, and by that perverse virtue, pre-emptively attack. While some competitiveness may be acceptable, perhaps we could let go of others, find alternative solutions to hate and seek common ground with our fellow people.
In this episode we are joined once again by our special friend "Cognac"; we hope you enjoy the discussion we had.

Alright, we've been away for a couple of weeks, but we're back in time for spring! The return of warmer weather and spring time can only mean one thing: Spring Cleaning! Most normally just cleanout their house, tidy up their lawns, and perhaps do a little gardening. Whisky had to repair his foundation. In this episode, Whisky talks about his trials and tribulations when dealing with contractors around his foundation. This leads into a larger discussion about a relatively new trend that's going around called "The Right to Repair", tune in and find out more!

So, Whisky couldn't make it to a recording session due to unforeseen circumstances, so I, Rocks, sat down with my good friend 'Cognac' and hit the record button. What follows is the first in a sub-series of the 320 Club Podcast called "A Wee Dram" It's a bunch of snippets taken from a nearly 4 hour long conversation, so you may notice that we're "waiting" to have a conversation in some bits because we were waiting to record a full episode. Don't worry, that'll come in due time. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the chat we had. This particular dram is called "Rabbits with Nuclear Weapons."

It's March, spring is almost here, and the SQUIRRELS are returning! We decided to bring back the infamous squirrel chaser, please give a warm welcome back to Smokey!
So It would be irresponsible of us not to address the current goings on with regard to the SNC-Lavalin Affair. Which is exactly why we decided to talk instead about Game of Thrones. Did you see that latest trailer? All aboard the HYPE TRAIN y'all!
Seriously though, we thought it would be interesting to talk about leadership, and explore it through the lens of Game of Thrones, since over the last 8-9 years it appears to be a masterclass on the subject. We hadn't really intended to talk about SNC-Lavalin, but it's a FAT squirrel, so listen in and find out how we chased it!

In this episode we decided to tackle a question as old as the countries that inhabit North America:
What are the differences between Americans and Canadians?
Beer and hockey? Or Bourbon & football? Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness? Or Peace, Order and Good Government? How do we as Canadians navigate the political landscape with our southern neighbours? It's not an easy question, so for this episode, we decided to bring along an expert in these matters; a learned academic on American/Canadian relations over the course of our histories. Please give a warm welcome to "The Professor".

Yes, Rocks is aware that he tends to rant. He's working on it. At the same time, Whisky needs to work on his "radio voice".
In this episode we discussed the effects of social 'monsters' such as people who are willing to exploit children and create genuine fear amongst parents, a la "Momo". It made us think of other fictional monsters and the socio-political metanarratives that surround them, like Zombies and consumerism, or Vampires and fear of foreigners or homophobia.
And while these 'Monsters' may all be fake news, including these new ones on the internet, it still has had the effect of waking parents up to what their children have access to. If nothing else, questions are going to be asked of private corporations--like Google--as to how they intend to filter and screen for this kind of content when parents won't always be able to. Specifically when they own YouTube, which has an app specifically designed for children.
PSA just so it's not lost on the current internet ultra PC climate, we at The 320 Club have nothing against homosexuality or vampires. We just think Twilight is dumb, and trash for your mind. Whisky has a wide variety of literature that he can recommend to our loyal listeners.

In this episode Whisky decided to turn the tables and let Rocks do the hard work. We discuss the rise of socialism amongst millenials and some of the reasons and factors for the strong desire amongst young generations to enact social change. In particular we focused on the yellow jacket movement that started in France and some how found its way into Canadian communities, like Kingston, ON last Saturday.
We also took time to discuss the recent Amber Alert that took place across southern Ontario a week ago.

Nothing is for free. You are always giving something away in exchange for something else. Especially if it involves the internet.
When we were kids, do you remember those chain mail things you got in your email? “Where were you born, what’s your favourite colour, who’s your crush....Pass this along to 20 of your friends or something terrible will happen to you!” So that was an early version of data mining. The same kind of thing is happening all the time on your Facebook feed. The only difference between then and now is the efficiency with how information is mined. The same tactics are used. You laugh at the people who give their banking information away to a Nigerian prince, and yet you just gave away 4 digits of your phone number and your DoB, or let your calculator access your microphone. It’s all purposed to be used in a manner that is not promoting your interests.
When you participate in Facebook trends and fads (the recent “this was me 10 years ago, and this is me now” fad springs to mind) you are naively giving away pieces of yourself, and those pieces WILL be used against you. If you want any hope of personal financial freedom, the ability to choose what you want to do when you want to do it, and to continue to elect the people you want, stop these activities immediately.
You may think “oh, well, I’m insignificant, there’s nothing about me that’s that important—share anyway.” And that’s where you’re wrong. There’s a spectrum of use for your personal information:
The guy/girl at Tim Hortons or Starbucks who scans everyone’s device connecting to the free wifi provided there. Let me ask you, what are they going to do with your information?
The major corporation (like google for example), who retrieves data from your GPS chip (which can’t be deactivated) and listens to your conversations through your own microphone, and sells that information for marketing purposes. Can you guarantee that that info is going to be used altruistically and in a way that always benefits you?
State sanctioned actors are actively trying to infiltrate your government, and ultimately compromise the democratic freedoms and foundations upon which the west was built.

In this episode we discuss engineering design flaws--water park slides, bathroom doors, and 'scented scissors'; what happens when your product doesn't meet your vision. We also talk a bit about how it's done right. You may be wondering, and the answer is yes; we at The 320 Club are aware that when you do a podcast on engineering design flaws, that pictures may be important...visit us on Facebook to see some of the pictures for yourself! Feel free to send us some of your own, and we'll be sure to include with a special mention. Don't forget to like us on Facebook either, we'd like to hear from you!

In this episode, we discuss the current state of affairs with regard to our education system, including teachers, school boards, underfunded and oversized classrooms, super-schools, and double-bus routes.
Whisky proposes that we tear down the whole system and rebuild from scratch. What do you think? Feel free to leave a comment, like and subscribe us on Facebook, and get involved in the conversation!

Okay, so if you actually want to learn how to make wine, this is perhaps not the best place to start. Or maybe it is...
In this episode, we decided to get away from the internet and talk about something that really interests us: Wine Making! We hope you have as much fun listening to this episode as we did recording it. Enjoy!
Note We at The 320 Club do not recommend consuming Drano or using it to make soap. As well, please be kind to your pets, including the Gerbils that your kids want but don't actually take care of. And for the love of Pete, do not flush your Gerbil down the toilet.

In this episode, we lathered, rinsed, washed, and left no hair unshaven in the domain of the Masculine. We talk about Gretzky, Jimmy Page, Doctor Strange, and Rocks' 11-month-old son's favourite character: "Moana". We even tried to moisturize it with the stinging aftershave of Don Cherry and the International Ice Hockey Federation.
All shaving jokes aside, we actually didn't talk about the Gillette Ad, given that we recorded this episode well before it dropped. We could re-record (we did) and try and discuss (we tried) this thing that is so contentious, but in all honesty, we think that we've said all that we need to say about the subject of Masculinity (we do).
Enjoy!

In this episode, we discovered how talking about George Carlin somehow or another led to talking about academia and identity politics. Who knew the two were so inexorably linked? In all seriousness, we should probably remember to stay on topic; this one may have gotten away from us. We tried recording remotely this episode, so the sound quality is not what it normally is. Trust us when we say "we're getting better at this...we hope".
As well, we would like to wish our listeners a Happy New Year! May your new years resolution last longer than 30 days!

This is part two of our variety show titled #ColdDayinHell. Falsely Convicted Murderers, Flat Earthers, Academic Rock Stars, and when the plans of self-proclaimed progressives backfire...there's a lot of craziness out there, and Whisky & Rocks couldn't fit it all into one episode!
We had to cut this one in half and talk it out over a two-day period, so apologies in advance for the abrupt interruption.
We would also ask our viewers to feel free to get involved! Provide a comment on Facebook and tell us your #ColdDayinHell. There's only one rule: name something that is happening today in our world that should only happen if it was a Cold Day in Hell. Tell us yours, and we'll even put it on the air!
Question: How do you do a topical podcast on Canadian Culture without tainting the spirit of the holiday season? Well you can start by listening to Whisky & Rocks who'll show you how it's done!
In this episode we decided to play a bit of a game. We call it: "A Cold Day in Hell". The premise? Describe and discuss current events (that are actually happening) that should really only happen if hell froze over. Think of it as a 320 Club variety episode. We had fun with this one; we hope you do too.
Whisky & Rocks are also not going away over the holiday season, so you can look forward to more content over the coming weeks. Happy Holidays to everyone, please drink responsibly, and don't drink and drive. Stay safe out there!
The epic conclusion to our amazing two-part saga on Unions is here! Have ole' Whisky & Rocks reconciled their 'difference in principles'?
....the answer is 'highly probable'. I mean....the show must go on right?
In this episode we continue exploring Unions, and wrap up the discussion particularly over General Motors Canada, as well as Canada Post. Enjoy!
The rights of workers and the agreements they make with employers have been a hot button issue long before the invention of unionized work. Nearly a century after the Winnipeg General Strike, unions in Canada find themselves as solidified in Canadian society as Tim Horton's and Hockey Night in Canada.
Recent events involving Canadian Postal Workers, General Motors employees in Oshawa, ON, and taxi drivers have got Whisky and Rocks somewhat fired up as to the current status of Unions in Canada. In this episode, we turn up the heat and negotiate terms; hopefully we can come to an agreement!
The death of Stan Lee (R.I.P.) has left the hosts of the 320 Club thinking about the legacy he leaves behind. The stories he and his partner Jack Kirby told are now amongst the most expensive artifacts that human beings have ever created on the big screen.
Ranging from how we raise our children, to how we stay informed through the news, to how we develop the moral structure of our cultures, storytelling is arguably one of the most important parts of the human condition. But is storytelling on the decline? And if it is, does that mean morality is on the decline?
The sound quality is a little rough at first on this one, but it improves over time.
In this episode we overview the laundry list of absurd yet increasingly and alarmingly loud arguments presented by the likes of those who would not vaccinate themselves or their children. We also take a few moments to talk about those who would issue out medical/nutritional/health advice who have no qualification or capacity to do so. We're talking about you Gwen...stay in your lane. Tune in!

Is Remembering those who fought to protect our way of life a controversial issue? Since when are there colour differences in worn poppies? Should veteran support groups and community/charity organizations have a monopoly on the symbols of sacrifice? This episode addresses some of the outrage that tends to percolate at this sombre time of year.
We're joined again by Forever 21. This episode is a little bit shorter than normal; reality being what it is, both Whisky and Rocks still have day jobs and responsibilities, and sometimes life gets in the way. That said, we believe we got our point across in this one! Enjoy!
Hydro One, Highway 407, Tim Horton's, Oh my! In this episode we explore the relationship between foreign investment and Canadians. Who benefits? And what happens when corporate interests are tied in with essential services, such as the provision of electricity? Just how long has this been going on??
Today we're joined by a very special guest: please welcome Smokey! Trust us when we say these pseudonyms are INCREDIBLY well thought out.
(Apologies for the poor sound quality, we're still working out the kinks.)

As of May 2018, it was reported that approximately 190 Canadian citizens had left Canada to fight with organizations largely located in Syria and Iraq. In this episode we explore the facets of Canadian citizens who become foreign fighters, and what might possibly happen when they decide to return to Canada.

This topic covers the ins-and-outs of bureaucracy; and tackles issues like why large organizations, corporations, and governments must take so long to ever get anything done. It may seem like a pretty dry subject, but don't worry; Rocks is sure to make it interesting for you.
For this podcast, we also brought on our very first guest! Please welcome: "Forever 21". We may change his name, but it suited our purpose for now.
