250 subscribers on the YouTube channel naturally means the soft launch for a new series. Why a soft launch? Well, Jack filmed his reaction to the Oppenheimer teaser trailer, and the powers that be at Universal don't want you to see it because it apparently doesn't constitute fair use. So using the video podcast medium, we put it on here instead.
In the first rant for a considerable amount of time (and not because of the film's quality), Jack Smit looks at Doctor Strange in the Madness of the Multiverse without dropping a single spoiler.

Jack's in full on rugby nerves mode- England take on South Africa in the World Cup final tomorrow. So why not crack out some NEW REVIEWS? This week, the rugby fever takes over TSAF with reviews of Invictus, a look into the Ripped Ticket archive with The Old Man and the Gun, and the film that heralded a big moment in the 15 year association with that certain cinema, War for the Planet of the Apes.

Today, film critic Jack Smit celebrates 15 years of association with his local cinema- a place which arguably kickstarted his career and his love for the art of big screen entertainment. To celebrate that, in this special podcast, he documents the history of the cinema that he knows incredibly well- from recliners, to renames, mergers and Roystons, this place has seen it all. It's October at last- usually a good time for the film industry. And it's also a very special October for us here at TheJackSmit.com, as Jack celebrates 15 years of association with that cinema in Preston. So to celebrate, this month on TSAF, Jack will be taking us on a walk down memory lane, as he reviews some of the films that have defined the legendary Vue cinema he calls home. On this episode, we have indie gems in the form of Brigsby Bear, animated delights from the guys at Laika, and a rant that provided hours of banter to that team on the 2018 marathon.
