Harvard and MIT admit: there is no gay gene

Transcript: Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. The “born that way” crowd has been searching for a gay gene for over 30 years. Scientists from Harvard and MIT have now concluded it does not exist. After studying the entire genetic makeup of 409,000 people, they have concluded that the five main suspect genetic variants altogether account for less than 1% of same-sex behavior. As David Curtis of the UCL Genetics Institute says, “This study clearly shows that there is no such thing as a ‘gay gene.’” Homosexuals have been looking for something to excuse their non-normative sexual behavior, and had seized on genetics as the culprit. The reality is that the impulse to homosexuality is an impulse that can and must be resisted, like any other sexual temptation. And with the help of Jesus Christ and his sovereign power, it can be done.
