Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Kidnapping used to be a capital crime in the United States, and should be again. Kidnapping is kidnapping even if it’s done by government under color of law. Drake is an autistic 4-year-old with severe medical issues who is being raised by loving parents. When a doctor’s treatment nearly caused their son to choke to death, they requested the insertion of a feeding tube. Instead of granting the parents’ request, the hospital referred them to child protective services which showed up with armed police and forcibly removed Drake from the only home he has ever known. And the judge told the parents if they talk to the media, they will be thrown in jail. Both the Bible and the Supreme Court declare that directing a child’s upbringing is the responsibility of parents, not the government. Somebody needs to tell that to the state of Texas.
